Thought I'd get the ball rolling as I know there have been some BFPs in the last few days on here.....

Just got a confirmatory BFP on a clear blue. This will be DC2, DC1 will be two in two weeks!

So grab a seat, buckle up and enjoy the vino soft drinks on offer.

Ps is it really bad that I am craving a jug of Pimm's?!

Yes this is my 1st but will be his second, he has a 13yr old boy. I'm stepmum, his mother is deceased, 7 yrs ago.
I always dreamed of having a planned pregnancy, this is 'happy accident!'

Thats a good age gap, teenagers sleep all the time and babies never sleep! Good balance!

Hi,
i found out 2 weeks ago am expecting my first child in Feb 2013, I have my first midwife appt end of june. Im looking forward to getting a more accurate EDD! other than the 1st of feb. I am very excited but scared as this will be our first.
The father to be is very excited as well if not a little annoying - watching everything i eat and drink and badgering me to excerise everyday, when all I want to do is sleep, im not sure how long this will last bless him. I am sick of rivita and fruit tea's!
I am not planning on telling work until after my first scan as I work in a role that would mean that as soon as I tell them im pregnant there is a good chance i'll be on light duties and deskbound doing paperwork until I take leave when im really big! The doctor says this should be fine at this stage as there is no chance the baby will be harmed in conflict due to its position in the pelvis.

has anyone else noticed the amount alcohol is advertised since they have not been able to have any?

PS Sort your other half out or he will drive you mad. Get some of those pretend fags and sit out the garden smoking them! That'll shut him up!!

Hii all, just found out last Saturday I'm expecting our 3rd baby on 13th feb, very excited but it doesn't seem real at all at the moment. I have the enormous sore boobs that's for certain, dh told me to turn around to face him yesterday, he said "now I can see you are pregnant!"

Wow, these threads move so fast! Congratulations everyone! Thank you for your kind words pickles it's pretty scary and had some red blood last night. I've been reading though all the bleeding in pregnancy threads and there are a lot of encouraging stories out there. I feel quite optimistic (perhaps unwisely) but I still feel pregnant and am welcoming every wave of nausea and prodding my sore boobs obsessively!

my boobs were already ample b4 the pregnancy, now they are just silly!

Positive test a week last Monday and approx due date 3rd Feb; bit of a surprise as it was the first month. Absolutely exhausted and bloated but otherwise OK and really hoping to escape morning sickness. We haven't told anyone else yet, while we're really happy it is taking a while to get used to the idea ourselves. Has anyone told close family yet? How soon does sickness kick in?

Feeling so rubbish that I keep feeling panicked. How do I tell him? we are supposed to be moving house, country, jobs - I feel like this could be a change too far for him and he's not here now ....

loveschocolate I found out the same day as you and I am due on 2nd Feb! I was shocked too as it was our first month of properly trying. Is it your first? I,ve not had any sickness yet, just absolutely shattered all the time and bloated & windy, ha! we have told close family & I've told my best friends, they would of all guessed anyway (particularly as I refused plenty of glasses of wine over the BH weekend!).

I have just booked a private early scan, I'm really worried all the time and will drive myself mad if I have to wait until the 12 week scan! Has anyone had one before? Or considering having one?

tuzz it's a shame he isn't back till Sunday, I'm sure it will all seem better when you've spoken to him.

To be honest, there never seems a perfect time to have a baby, sounds like you will have a challenging time but you have a little while to get everything sorted before feb?

As long as your happy try not to worry.

With my first baby it really seemed all the wrong time, we were trying but happened first month, in the middle of building works, but everything panned out.

So glad I'm not the only bloaty windy tired irritable pregnant woman on here! Another one here who got lucky in the first month of trying.

Have been trying to eat more fruit and veg and feel better for it. Had no sickness last pregnancy so hopefully will be the same this time. Did get the must awful migraines, and obviously as you can't take much for them I remember being very very distressed Sad not looking forward to that .....

I want to meet you all now we're on the same journey! Anybody in the midlands?! East or west!

mrsrt do it if it makes you feel better it's worth the money

I booked one but cancelled it. To be honest it was mainly the fear of an internal scan !

whospicleisthatonion the internal scan freaks me out too! But I'm thinking in the next 8 months I am going to have to 'man up' and face my fears.... I faint at the sight of a needle!!

I'm near Bristol.

So, I'm apparently 5/6 weeks gone with our second small person. Due 2nd Feb, if the pregnancy goes smoothly (had a big scare with our first at 6 weeks - turns out it was twins, only one survived, but he's now a strapping 13 month old!).

Made my booking in appointment for 11th July, when I think I'll be about 9 weeks.

Will be lurking on this thread until I'm further on.
