WaitingForMe · 11/04/2012 08:41

Hi ladies, I'm back from my trip to the Netherlands. So sorry to hear Foof and pip's sad news.

For people talking about headaches, I carry a 4head stick everywhere. It works best if you use it as soon as you get a niggle of a headache.

I sleep in Cocoon bra tops from La Redoute. They're fantastically soft ad comfy.

The holiday was a challenge but we had a pretty good time. The best but was the range of 0% beers which were so tasty. MS has worsened to actual vomiting which saw a few toilet dashes and mortifyingly after the flight and stuffy passport control area we stepped outside to find loads of people smoking (in a non-smoking area) and with no warning I promptly threw up in front of them all Blush

DH was pretty pissed off. Smoking is my biggest nausea trigger and he spends his time looking out so we can cross the street etc but there was no other way out of the airport. Would it kill them to have moved away from the doors?

Sorry to return with a rant but I have a phobia of being sick and throwing up in public really upset me.

pinkapples · 11/04/2012 08:51

Feeling quite sick at the moment probably nerves and dh is really pissing me off with his loud munching of toast I may have to smack him in a minute bleugh Sad

eversomuch · 11/04/2012 09:16

Fingers crossed for you, Pink and everyone else with scans today. Hope you get good news.

So sorry to hear pip's news.

Welcome back, waiting. Ugh, smoke is the worst. It makes me ill when I'm not pregnant, so am even more sensitive now. Unbelievably, there are always loads of people smoking outside the maternity hospital I go to. WTF?

NervousAt20 · 11/04/2012 09:16

Fingers crossed for pink & essex today with your scans xx

Passmethecrisps · 11/04/2012 09:16

Hi all,

Yesterday I managed to read this entire thread from beginning to end - think I deserve a medal! It was quite a journey - I was incredibly moved by the different experiences and of course by people's losses.

I am due 8/11/12 but this is TBC as I don't yet have a scan date. Have been fairly textbook this far - tired, nauseous, spotty, hairy, eating for 12, tearful and all the while glowing on the inside.

I have my FC for everyone with scans today - pinkapples I woke up thinking about you this morning (bit weird I know . . .)

Xx

Passmethecrisps · 11/04/2012 09:17

Oh, and essexwelsh I fly home from hols tomorrow so your story resonates with me. Best of luck and FC

pinkapples · 11/04/2012 09:27

Oh eversomuch tell me about it it's horrendous outside the maternity unit in the hospital too... I know this because the fertility clinic doesn't have it's own pay station so you have to pay at the maternity unit one (shocking I know) everyone with their massive belly and fag in hand makes me sick!

Thanks for the best wishes will be on my way to the clinic in a minute when dh has finished in the dentist probably getting a telling off for all that mega crunching he was doing this morning Grin

DesperateHousewife21 · 11/04/2012 09:44

FC pink I sympathise on the toast munching, dh annoys me when he eats anything it's so annoying!

I feel huge today already, button on my jeans are undone, I've just hoovered and kept getting twinges in my uterus, so I'm taking it easy on the sofa now! any excuse

shanelle5 · 11/04/2012 10:04

Thinking of you pink and Essex, keeping everything crossed for lovely news here later today. x

EssexWelsh · 11/04/2012 10:08

Bad news I'm afraid, scan confirmed that was pregnant but now miscarrying. Thanks to foof for the mc thread, really helped, hope no one else has any symptoms please pm me if you do as mc is worse than expected and helped to read about it before going through it.

On plus side, my OH has been amazing, brought us even closer and as this wasn't planned it has made us have the conversation of babies and agree to try again once fully recovered, feel weirdly really happy about doing it properly. Also have loads of fun stuff to look forward to, so I will mostly be drinking at weddings, going to a rock festival and Dubai over next 2 months, every cloud!

Love to you all and your little gummy bears, hope I'm the last statistic for this thread x

NervousAt20 · 11/04/2012 10:14

Oh essex I'm soo sorry I really thought and hoped we had the last of bad news yday! Hope you and your family are okay and enjoy the weddings and festivals and good luck for 2013!! x

WestWinger · 11/04/2012 10:15

Essex - very sad to hear your news, but glad to hear that you are feeling relatively ok about it all. Wishing you all the best when you decide to try again - in the meantime, Dubai?? Lucky you - hope you have a great time.

Thinking of you and wish you a sticky bean next time. x

YellowWellies · 11/04/2012 10:20

Oh Essex - I'm really sorry to hear your news. I'm now terrified about flying next month - it's a ten hour flight - oh god am not going to be able to relax :( I had a MC in Jan so I know how horrible they are - I hope it passes quickly xxx Glad to hear your OH has been amazing, lots of love to you both

Congrats to Tiago on a happy scan result. And lots of luck to Pink for today x

ValiumQueen · 11/04/2012 10:22

essex sorry to hear your news, but like your plan a lot. Hope all your dreams come true Smile

Victorious03 · 11/04/2012 10:39

Sorry to hear your news Essex but its good to see your remaining so positive.

Fingers crossed for you Pink thinking of you.

My scan isn't until 2.30pm, afternoon seems like an age away and I am so nervous now.

spudmama · 11/04/2012 10:39

Oh gosh more sad news Essex i am so sorry i had a MMC in Sept , to all those that have lost their little beans please give yourselves time to grieve properly it can take time and loads of luck and lots of sticky beans in the future. It can happen again here i am 18 months later at the ripe old age of 41 at 10+4.

I was also reading about symptoms can't remember where and even at 10 weeks they can start easing off as the placenta gets to work so i am trying to stay calm until my 12 week scan 23rd April. Until then the mantra Today i am pregnant and will enjoy it Smile

NervousAt20 · 11/04/2012 10:43

Good luck victorious fingers crossed for you and pink to both have postive news :)

pinkapples · 11/04/2012 10:45

Bad news for me 2 I'm afraid good luck without pregnancies x

pinkapples · 11/04/2012 10:45

That was supposed to say with your*

YellowWellies · 11/04/2012 10:47

Oh no :( really sorry to hear that Pink xx

EssexWelsh · 11/04/2012 10:52

Thanks ladies and sorry pink,pm me if need to. But girls, all that have lost had a feeling and symptoms, please don't let it ruin your amazing time, you are all pregnant and enjoy it and once I've had a couple of goodbye child free life months, I'll be joining you on here again!

Repeat after me, we are all pregnant and enjoying it, what happens, happens for a reason, life would be boring without these little tests Smile

DesperateHousewife21 · 11/04/2012 10:54

So sorry essex and pink really thought we'd had all the bad news it's so sad :( really hope you've got lots of support and good luck for the future xx

shinyblackgrape · 11/04/2012 10:54

Essex and Pink - I'm so sorry. Sending you lots of hugs.

I've mostly been lurking as things haven't felt real. However, I had my first midwife appointment today at 7+1. DD is estimated as 26 November. I had thought 25.

We also had a scan at the weekend and saw the baby and a heartbeat so hoping that is good news. She estimated DD as 28 November but said very hard to tell at this stage so not sure!

Been a bit worried as I really don't feel too sick but the midwife said that was OK.

daisychain76 · 11/04/2012 10:58

So sorry Essex and Pink.

shinyblackgrape that is fab news about the scan. Just enjoy not feeling sick!

shinyblackgrape · 11/04/2012 11:03

Daisy - that is exactly what the midwife said! She also recommended not consulting Dr Google either although did say sympathetically that she knew it was really hard!

I thought they would take blood today and had psyched myself up as I either faint or are sick but apparently that will be at the booking in appointment. However, due to my history of fainting/puking, midwife said I might have to have it done at the hospital Confused which seems a bit overkill but maybe she doesn't fancy me vomming on her!
