Wriggle and SES I also send DH out on saturday mornings - to DD1's ballet and freestyle classes, with DD2 in tow usually. Then they often go to Costa and bring me take-out coffee.
Deviated from the usual saturday today with a lovely family trip to the hospital for monitoring, as had had reduced movements (the odd flutter, not the usual beating) from yesterday evening. Everything was fine, think it might be the anterior placenta getting in the way again, though the mw said she couldn't move the head (it was free on monday), so maybe it has engaged a bit and that has made a difference. Have felt as if the head has been trying to come down for a few days, not sure it hasn't been popping in and out a bit! I had problems with both DDs heads staying high, even in labour with DD2, which seems to be partly why I had 2 x EMCS (not enough pressure on the cervix to open it much). We ended up going to Strada in Stratford-U-A for lunch, which was nice, though wrecked my plans for DH and the lawnmower - it was raining by the time we got home. Had a nice lie down myself though
as was exhausted from all the worrying!
Wriggle glad everything is going well - Adam sounds lovely.
SES hope your eye gets better soon. Do you have anything for it? Goldeneye ointment (pharmacist) can be quite good, or get the GP / triage nurse to give you something with fusidic acid in it (I think) - I used to get Blephiritis all the time, and it isn't nice!
LittleSarah glad you had a lovely day and the mw went went. Sorry your work gift was of the "thought that counts" variety!
Dreaming & Mythical hope you don't have to wait much longer. Maybe your energy burst is a sign Mythical - well done on your toes. I can just reach mine by putting my foot on the toilet / bath, but the polish isn't very neat any more!!!!
Cewa, hello, nice to see you! Bad reflux is awful - my friends DD1 had it, projectile vom over a metre in distance - she had to take spare clothes for herself around as well as for the baby! My DD1 is allergic to milk, egg and some nuts (she has asthma and eczema too, which apparently is quite common to have together) so feeling sympathy on the allergy front too. Hopefully these babies (for you an me) will be allergy free, and reflux free for you too. Having found my previous 2 pgs really quite easy, this one has been quite stressful, so I'll be glad when my ELCS arrives on 21st.
Saggy Warwick hospital was lovely and calm today - seen pretty immediately on labour ward with very little waiting around - but it has been cloudy here, so maybe blocked out the full moon??? Hope you've recovered from your reflexology session (and that it helps!).
Hope all is well Tostaky!
