Thanks girls... too many of you to thank individually for your words, but i am def going to talk to the hospital... as something went badly wrong and no one seemed to talk to me about it!

A quick positive... i managed to wind saul today :) i balanced him onthe arm of the chair sat up, and got to lean him against me until it got too painful :)

Drugged up on painkillers atm, so not a long message, just to say thanks really, and also i have put a photo on :) although its upside down lol

Good luck ... hope someone goes in to labour tonight!!

HoneyLovesChristmasCake · 03/12/2011 00:08

Awww...so cute kri5ty...even upside down LOL Glad to hear you got to hold him Xmas Smile

kri5tycringle · 03/12/2011 01:55

Hope you can sleep honey, you are up late!

Sending everyone big thanks again, feeling more positive! Now time for my mahoosive amount of drugs!

msbaublestwinkle · 03/12/2011 08:34

darcies sounds exactly like show to me, I've never noticed blood in mine.

kristy yay! great that you managed winding him, and he is gorgeous!

Well, my plans for the day may be scuppered by it pouring down and DD2 has not stopped yelling since she woke up.

aethelfleda · 03/12/2011 09:48

Awwww Kri5ty what a lovely pic. Showed it to the DDs and their comment was "can we have one like that?"... Then followed up by "how much longer before we get our baby? Will it be a year?" thanks girls....

Another night of 3am waking and tossing and turningfollowed by worrd dreams , this time about drugs and tower blocks..where's a Johnny Depp fantasy when you need it!!!

Quiet weekend(ish), going to try to take the DDs to the film Hugo, it's apparently family friendly and we loved the book....

sevenswansaswimming · 03/12/2011 10:05

Aww kristy he's gorgeous.

cheeptrick · 03/12/2011 11:54

kri5tycringle · 03/12/2011 12:13

Highs highs highs today! Ok...I'm still in agony... and can't walk or sit (or even lie properly), but... I fed my baby boy :o and now he is lying next to me for cuddles :o

TheFirstNoelChinchilla · 03/12/2011 12:47

Aaaah, that's great! Mentioned it on first timers'- it's baby steps to improvement, but first feed is a biggie.

So glad to hear you sounding more up must get some of kri5ty's drugs!

Enjoy those cuddles with the gorgeous and totally cuddlable Saul.

PludolphTheRedNosedReindeer · 03/12/2011 14:03

Oh, kri5ty, he is cute!

Sorry to dash. Just waiting for PIL to turn up, as DS has a party this PM and I am afraid to drive so far (how responsibible what a wimp am I?).

OiMistletoe · 03/12/2011 14:04

I am really pleased that you're enjoying the highs kristy!
My highs today include:
Mucus plug snot stuff lost overnight.
20% discount off the Bamboozle stretchie nappies from the Nappy lady - I was going to wait until I'd tested them, but I really like them and can't resist a discount! (20% off, plus 5% off because she sent me a recomendation. Bonus!) Plus, I can test drive my samples, and if I decide I don't like them I can leave the new ones untouched and send 'em back.
Had a decent night's sleep last night. Only a couple of loo visits.
Stuart is convinced that after the sweep I shall go into labour at any second and won't let me do anything. I am a lady of leisure.

Lows:
Felt quite tender last night - not sure if it's due to the baby being low, plus the water retention/swollenness of the lower bump, or due to the sweep.
No sign of baby coming yet... he didn't slide out nicely whilst I slept. - we were hoping to be greeted this morning with a baby bearing a breakfast tray with today's paper, but unfortunately Stuart had to go and get the paper himself! Ridiculous.

hawthers · 03/12/2011 14:31

Just wanted to add my 2p to say kri5ty hope you are feeling a bit better. There are so many hormones whooshing around that it can make your head spin. I hope you feel reassured that it will all work out. Bonding can take some time. My mum has said she didn't get that rush of Hollywood love you see in the movies with me or my brother - its something that develops over time. And I'd agree that the films have a lot to answer for! I had to have an elcs and I felt for a long time that I'd 'failed' to actually give birth. But at the end of the day, the way the little ones arrive in the world is such a little part of the whole motherhood thing (mind you it's taken me over 2 years to get to this thought!). Hmm have rambled on but hope you are giving yourself a break.

Hohohomouse · 03/12/2011 14:32

oi I love the slave labour fantasies already. Very funny image and made me guffaw.
We were going to see DHs Nan in her home (Alzheimer's) but they have had diahorrea in the home so thought it wise to give it a miss. Instead we went to help DHs parents pack up the house. Many boxes. Needless to say, I wasn't moving boxes, just filling them. Absolutely shattered now!
Apart from many aches and pains and cramping in the night there's nothing doing here. Going to make a reflexology appt for early next week and hopefully that will get things moving!

bennybenbear · 03/12/2011 14:33

Glad you're starting to feel better Kristy.

OI that made me lol, if only it was that easy! Am fully expecting to be at aquanatal 2mrw, are you going?

I've had a few back aches today and am about to head for an afternoon nap in front of the rugby after a shopping trip this morning! Smile

bennybenbear · 03/12/2011 14:36

Oh and feel v guilty I used my pregnancy as an excuse to get served quicker in M&S this morning! Had been waiting for ages but you should have seen them move when I asked them to get someone else to the till as i was due on Monday, hilarious!!

hawthers · 03/12/2011 14:42

Ooh benny I got queue jumped by the shop assistant last week in h &m - really surprised me at the time - I must look really pg!

Have finally reached term and am looking out for every twinge. Spent the day walking around London yesterday and nearly convinced myself that it would do something but still stubbornly pg today! Might need to look into some reflexology soon...

HoneyLovesChristmasCake · 03/12/2011 15:04

Just checking in for the day...nothing yet but DP has taken the day off & we are trying every natural induction method we can think of Xmas Wink Took a long walk around farmers market this morning & then went for a hot chocolate & a pasty which seemed to speed contractions/BH(?) & make them much stronger. Will let you know if anything happens Xmas Smile

festivefiggy · 03/12/2011 15:16

Just checking in too no more BH no signs of anything in fact except feeling tired and mega mega grumpy going to spend rest of the day feeling sorry for myself and drinking raspberry leaf tea (just been out and got a box of 50 going to ramp up the intake).

Another Grin to oi completely understand your frustrations this morning I'm not even due until Friday but every day nothing progresses I get more annoyed I'll be crying hysterically about needing the baby out by time see MW on Monday.

Looking forward to seeing baby saul can't view pics on my phone but will try to log in soon

DarcieandSnowballsmum · 03/12/2011 15:46

Kri5ty brilliants news you've been able to feed and cuddle Saul Smile

Update here is:

Mucus plug has come away
TMI Alert: Lots of loosish BM this morning
Went to see DD In her theatre school demonstration, she done very well.
Me & mum went to have our hairs cut.
Come home and chilling now.
Got a little bit of a back ache and feel like I've got a bowling ball between my legs or weights hanging from a very uncomfortable place!

Tinselperion · 03/12/2011 16:31

kri5ty he's so adorable Smile glad to hear things are looking up!

Update here on my EDD is a big fat nothing Angry...loads more period type cramps that really hurt but are only 30 secs or so long and no closer than every 15-20 min and walking is incredibly uncomfortable with lots of pressure, and very gyppy tummy (may be related to the mindblowingly spicy vindaloo for dinner last night...) Haven't lost any mucus plug, no show or anything. I feel like a total fraud as everyone has assumed I'm in labour or have already had the baby. In future I will lie to everyone about my due date because I have hung up on so many people today calling to ask whether I've had it yet, and then of course they assume I must be in labour so they call a few hours later!!

Anyway we went to Bray this lunchtime and had lunch at one of Heston Blumenthal's pubs - just walked in without a reservation - and it was absolutely wonderful. We had mince pies for dessert with "christmas ice cream" - the mince pies were these little deep fried things like McD's apple pies and had pine sugar on top that smelled like a christmas tree, and the ice cream was brandy butter flavoured with cranberries, cinnamon and cloves. Just lovely.

OiMistletoe · 03/12/2011 16:45

My phone stopped working. I told a few people by email, told others by FB - result: no one is calling asking for updates. (everyone's calling DH!) Grin

DarcieandSnowballsmum · 03/12/2011 17:10

Hacked off now - still got a little bit of back ache and some cramps but nowt more - so fed up!

TheFirstNoelChinchilla · 03/12/2011 17:11

Oi- gosh, how cunning unfortunate!

Just back from a lunch out with a close friend, catching up on all the family and friend news- general result, virtually everyone we know or are related to is in a fix, it really does seem to be worrying as so few people aren't in terrible relationships/seriously ill/getting divorced. Festive indeed.

Just deciding whether to read a bit more of the paper or go for a nap- might as well enjoy the last few of these days where I have that choice Xmas Grin.

Hoping for more babies soon!

Sleighbellsinthesnow · 03/12/2011 17:58

Glad I'm not the only one avoiding the phone on my EDD. I have also been ignoring the calls.

Met a friend yesterday who asked for my new address. Texted it to her today and got a msg saying 'LOL I thought that was a birth announcement.' Needless to say I wasn't lol!

Tinsel v Envy of your lunch. That sounds gorgeous. Your developments sound promising at least - my sister didn't have a show until noticeabley in labour with regular contractions quite randomly. I feel crampy with loads of BH. However, it still fails to become anything - so frustrating!

DarcieandSnowballsmum · 03/12/2011 18:11

DP thinks I'm def in latent phase of labour, wish the active phase would kick in Angry
