Hello all
Wrote a long post yesterday and then pressed long button and lost it, too frustrated to rewrite at the time so here I am now.
All fine here, got my 30th birthday this weekend so looking forward to some fun. My mum is taking me to a spa for the morning on Friday and my dh should have a nice day planned for me Sat, I say should as he is a tad disorganised but I'm sure he's managed something! Then dinner and drinks on Saturday evening. Although nowt for me sadly!
catsy - so glad your scan went well, what a relief! What will the speculum exam be looking for?
Harecare - It's great when the children are excited too. My dd wants to give this one a bottle like last time, although will be breastfeeding it could be a while, although I am hoping to be able to express some for occasional bottle feed. ds at 2.5 doesn't really get what is going on, in fact I think it will be a bit of shock for him, especially as he is a right mummy's and daddy's boy. Dd was much happier to see, be looked after by, other members of family, ds okay but still v shy at first!
Limeflower - Glad to see you are finally getting your scan. It's funny but I've noticed in these situations you are better being a little sharp, rather than my usual overly apologetic, oh could you help me please type tone.
Cupcake - I've add the very occasional flutter recently but I honestly have no idea (despite being on no 3) whether it is baby or general innards. I also felt it about 16 weeks last time (not til about 22 weeks the first time!)
Stokey - Welcome to the thread! It has to be said that baby time with no 2 is rather different than with the first. I remember reading lots of books and watching DVDs, really all very relaxed... not quite the same when ds arrived! Still lovely of course
.
Saggy - Tis frustrating when you get to trimester 2 and feel rubbish I know, I think I felt like that until about 16 weeks last time. Hope things improve soon.
SirCharles - Glad your scan went well, and no idea what the PAPPA thing is, hope someone explains it to you!
lucky and harecare - dhs in general seem far more practical minded when it comes to children, especially the having more bit, but most of then adapt just fine! It is the opposite with me and dh, he wants more (and more and more) and I am the one saying I think 3 is enough dear, think about space, money, etc. Harecare - my dh will also be under 50 when this one is 20 (just), and I'll be over 50 (just!)
