Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Penelope1980 · 24/09/2011 00:02

I am hoping my boy will come soon! No progress yet though apart from cramps alas. 39+2 today!

GroovyRach · 24/09/2011 00:10

I am devastated for cupoftea Sad

Scheherezade · 24/09/2011 01:08

I know, groovy - have sent my cdolences, btu trying not to dwell on it, I just can't (and don't want to) imagine how awful it must be to face a situation like that, after carrying your baby for this long period of time :(

Scheherezade · 24/09/2011 01:31

Oh dear, typing errors there! My excuse is that I'm having painful BH/tightenings/contractions every 5 minutes-ish, although trying not to get hopes up! Haven't woken DP or rung labour ward. Spent a lot of the night on the toilet with lots of diarrohea (yummers) and pretty sure there's nothing left to empty out!

So am sitting downstairs stubbornly drinking tea and messing around on computer until my waters break and I know for sure.

Scheherezade · 24/09/2011 04:31

It was real! Going 2 theatre now

Penelope1980 · 24/09/2011 04:58

Poor cupoftea. I feel so sad for her.

But,scheherezade how exciting for you - keep us posted! Did your waters break in the end?

I am feeling really immobile today, am struggling with walking up the stairs which i never have before and feel like the baby is pushing on my pelvis. I hope it will all happen soon, as really don't want to feel like I do today for another couple of weeks!

LittlePebble · 24/09/2011 06:58

Come on Scheherazade yay for another October Baby! xxx

GroovyRach · 24/09/2011 07:14

Another little one is on it's way.... and it's not even October yet!!!! Yay for all these babies Grin

sassy34264 · 24/09/2011 07:40

scheh ohhhhhh! this is making me sooooo broody- its a good job im pregnant! Grin
threatre? we're not doing so great at the natural births on here! was she having a b or g or a surprise? i cant remember.

looked at cupofteas thread just before bed, so i havent posted yet. so sad for her and the family. i remember something similiar happening to my best friend years ago. she phoned me up from hospital asking me to look up cysistic fibrosis. she hadnt a clue but i did and ended up crying eyes out in middle of asda and the drive home. and her daughter had nothing of the sort. why dont they just wait until they've tested them before banded out illnesses and dieases and frightening everyone and then getting their hopes up etc.

LittlePebble · 24/09/2011 08:07

Sheherazade is having a boy so it will be our first :-)

Scheherezade · 24/09/2011 08:07

Baby Cyrus born 5.22 weighing 6.13lbs!

Leo4 · 24/09/2011 08:11

Congrats Scheh on the birth of Cyrus xx

Bubalie · 24/09/2011 08:14

Congratulations Scheh - hope you and baby are well :)

BB3 · 24/09/2011 08:20

Go Scheh very exciting!! Come on baby Scheh, we want to meet you!

Think she is having a boy so he will be the first boy on the bus - he'll have a lot of girls to work his way through!! Grin

bilblio any luck with the names?

Sassy I am so glad you said that, have been wanting to ask the question about how the hospital could get it so wrong in the first place - I just think that must be the hardest thing to cope with the bad news, the good news, the will she, won't she. I wish they had kept quiet about the actual diagnosis until they knew 100% and it sounds like they still don't! Their poor family must be emotionally drained with it all! I keep meaning to post and just feel so bad about it - what do you say? Especially knowing my babies are here and doing so well...

BB3 · 24/09/2011 08:21

Crikey you miss so much just writing a post!

Yay baby Cyrus - welcome to the world little man xxx

GroovyRach · 24/09/2011 08:32

Wonderful name! Welcome baby Cyrus!!! Smile

CheshireDing · 24/09/2011 08:43

I too had a bit of a bawling moment this week, I think it will be okay once I am on maternity leave but am just getting a bit over being at work whilst wanting to enjoy last few weeks of pregnancy.

Yeh! For your last day at work rebel are you going to practice hypno every day now?

Congratulations scheh on baby Cyrus, no mucking out for you today!:)

Can someone post cupofteas link because I can't find it again now and last time I posted on it things were looking up.

PunkyBubba · 24/09/2011 09:03

Cheshire - This is cupofteas thread:

bilblio · 24/09/2011 09:20

link to cupoftea's thread

Congratulations Scheh! Did you get the tack cleaned first :o I'm sure they'll excuse you if not.

I slept until 6 this morning! Then woke with horrible stomach pains which were coming in waves. TMI but I think it's constipation rather than anything happening.

I think LO has moved too I was getting kicks down my left side but they appear to be on my right now. Bump also looks lower and I'm not needing the loo as much.

Today I'm going to rest... although there's a Scarecrow festival this afternoon at a local park, and a production of Wizard of Oz, so if I feel a bit more sprightly this afternoon we'll go there. Definitely no blitzing of the house though and no long walks. DD gets stir crazy if we're in all weekend.

Penelope1980 · 24/09/2011 09:24

scheh congrats! Wow it's all moving so fast now [pauses to glare at own stomach in hope it will also catch the hint and be born soon]

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 24/09/2011 09:40

bilblio are u in bothwell I know they have had a scarecrow thing going on for few weeks now but don't really know what it's about [nosey emoticon]

I'm still having pelvic pain on and off, potty training not going well (my laziness not DS's) and will be 37 weeks on Monday so baby eviction will start then Grin
DH and I both seem to have insomnia now! DS slept through last night but me and DH were up from half 2 to about 4am!

monkeybubbles · 24/09/2011 09:47

scheh congratulations!!! it's so nice to wake up to good news :)

more contractions for me through the night...but now, nothing! this is a very stubborn baby!

mpops · 24/09/2011 10:12

Congratulations, Scheh and welcome to the world baby Cyrus!

sassy34264 · 24/09/2011 10:32

yeah for cyrus
congrats scheh waiting to hear all about it. xxx

bilblio where abouts do you live? its just that they do the scarecrow thing here too. chorley.

bb3 there's not a lot you can say really. i read a few of the messages last night but had to stop. it was just too upsetting. i posted first thing this morning. i hope she defies the odds. bless her.

im feeling a lot better today even though im still bunged up. jacob is full of beans again too, and his breathing is about 50% better- so its all good. going to mix his 2nd dose in a minute.

dp has just gone for his haircut and then we are off to bygone times for a mooch. i love it. it is on the internet so you can google it. it is just a massive warehouse with stalls in it full of mostly old stuff. furniture, jewellery, plates, brick a brack etc. we got our chandalier and our victorian fire place from there- amongst other things. you can go a bit bonkers! esp if you are obessed with anything victorian like me. for some reason dp doesnt seem to mind me throwing things in the basket?! Confused but not questioning him!

cheekydino · 24/09/2011 10:44

Congrats Scheh! And thanks for all the messages everyone. Turns out my situation was a bit more hit and miss than I realised at the time. Like bb3 I haemorrhaged at home - I called the ambulance as was alone and was at our local hosp in 5 minutes. Lost 2.5 litres of blood in theatre, apparently likely my placenta had been detaching for a bit - hence the random bump tightening I'd been having and the period dull ache. They were v worried about baby as it is easy for it to asphyxiate in that situation but luckily she's fine. Cs under general not to be recommended - I've never experienced more pain in my life when coming round! Just managed to get out of bed for the first time today. May get home later.

So please noone ignore random pains like me - best to get them checked out.
Hope to hear some lovely non-dramatic birth stories soon.
