PamBeesly · 25/09/2011 18:56

gonerogue sorry to hear your dad passed, glad that he was in good spirits before he died, always nice to know he was himself right to the end. Take care of yourself now x

QueenFee · 25/09/2011 19:16

So sorry gonerogue x

Its a lovely day here and we went out to friends for a lovely roast followed by a stroll along the river :) fabulous

I have definately got twinges of spd starting again but am being really carefull as I cant afford a trip to the osteopath :(

Looking forward to this week scan on wed and consultant on friday!

phlossie · 25/09/2011 19:53

That's very sad, gonerogue. No matter what anyone tells you, I think there's always a little part of you that never stops hoping for a miracle right until the end. My very close cousins lost their mum, my aunt, in May, and the sadness (and sometimes anger) comes in waves. I think you just have to ride them.

Thanks for my birthday wishes, everyone. It's been a good one! We also went for a roast with friends today, queenfee! Yum!

Yeah, my pelvis is clunking a lot too. I had quite a lot of pelvic pain at this stage with DD, but it eased off.

People think I'm mental for having 3, let alone 4!

diedandgonetodevon · 25/09/2011 20:00

I'm so sorry Gonerogue Sad be gentle on yourself x

Xavielli · 25/09/2011 20:14

littlemonkeybix · 25/09/2011 20:32

gonerogue there's not much really to say except I hope you keep yourself well. So sorry your Dad passed away. As someone said before, there's some comfort to be had that he stayed perky til the last Smile

I've had a total relax today, so much so, I didn't make my cake!! But I am going to a bbq next week that my friend is hosting... So I'm taking said cake there Grin

We've got my parents dog for the next fortnight, going to be fun!! Looking forward to having a furry hot water bottle at my beck and call!!

melliebobs · 25/09/2011 20:44

i'm sorry to here that gonerogue. Thinking of you and your family x

yerr coffee i went to the one in town centre. Thought i'd have more luck there than at Deepdale or Capital Centre! tbh i wasn't overly bothered with any of it, it was more the fact i couldn't that wound me up more! lol

rnbsmum · 25/09/2011 21:04

So sorry to hear about your Dad gonerogue. thinking of you x

m1nn1em0u5e · 25/09/2011 21:29

So sorry Gonerogue you are in my thoughts x

Crazybit · 25/09/2011 22:26

Aw Gonerogue-So sorry :( Please look after yourself :)

woowa · 25/09/2011 23:21

Zhen, i find lifting DD onto hip at side works ok, then puttting her in sideways. It isn't foolproof as this can involve twisting, so be careful of your back. Hope you don't have to have a CS. (hope none of us HAVE to have one).

I've decided to stick with the hospital dating, so am now back to 31st Jan and 21+5. Thank you (was it wicket) for confirming what the consultant said was true, though it pains me to say it!! Obviously I'll not be joining the January thread at this point!!

Sorry about your dad gonerogue, out of all the hard things that can happen in life, it's the hardest I can imagine, especially when pregnant too.

Played the guitar at youth group this evening, standing up, and bump is now officially in the way! I have to put guitar to one side, very funny, and considerably different to play like that. I'm getting bigger much quicker than last time, so all these changes happening much faster!!

Have had a cheeky red wine and cheese after our VERY long day - DH was taking an 8am service and youth group finished at 10pm, so sure baby won't mind a bit of cheese and wine (a VERY small glass!)

So now i'm extra sleepy

night!

21+5

InnocentRedhead · 26/09/2011 08:32

So sorry to hear of your loss gonerogue. It cannot be an easy time for you, at least he had you there until the end, and could be himself. Do try to relax.

Trying to catch up for the weekend, being working :o so have not had chance.

I have that hip pain, can't remember who said about the pain, but I had similar before PG too, so I don't think it is related for me at all. My pain is shooting pains running through the hip and also if I sit down for too long or sat funny, when I stand up it hurts and I set (if you know what I mean). I can't walk properly for a good 5 minutes, it takes some walking off. all that may help you is just try regularly moving, and sit up in bed with LOADS of pillows under you, totally take the pressure off your hips.

Been feeling bigger and bigger as the days go on. I will be putting a picture of my 20 week today bump on when I can figure out how to get it off my blackberry. Got a proper bump now :o

Feeling lots of lovely movement. Not a massive amount of kicks but they move a hell of a lot, like they can't get comfy, bless 'em. I can feel them turning, moving, stretching... Cutest thing ever - I woke up yesterday morning at 5am, my bump rested on a small pillow - my bump was all left with the baby 'laying' on the pillow!!! Was surreal really, I felt and I felt a back. Loved it!!! Other day at work I had a little bum sticking out of my side next to my belly button too! However when they kick, I bloody know about it!! At work yesterday my friend put her hand on my bump when I said they were awake and she said 'Was that them?' (It was) and she leaped back going 'Arghhh!' She felt baby through my belly! :o She said it was strange ha!

Quick question for you all. Where is your bump? Are you carrying all over as in put weight on everywhere...? Or quite a wide bump? Or got a neat little bump at the front? Mines quite neat at the front with no weight anywhere else whatsoever

phlossie · 26/09/2011 09:50

Lucky you, innocent! I have a very neat bump out front... but I also have a fat arse! Definitely the 16 side of size 14 around the bum instead of the 12-14 that I was before. It's funny because before babies I carried any extra weight in my thighs and bum, then when pregnant I get a big bum but my thighs stay the same, the after pregnancy my bum goes flat and my thighs and belly take the extra weight. I'm definitely a different shape than I was before having babies.

Jeff's quite wriggly. I have days where I don't feel him/her much, and then I have wriggly days. But not many kicks - certainly nothing you could feel from the outside. But then my placenta's in the way.

Grin at your guitar, woowa. My friend's baby fell asleep on me yesterday, and I had the whole dilemma about where to hold her - down low, or balance her on top of my bump?!

InnocentRedhead · 26/09/2011 10:37

Got a bump picture up now :) I just had to, looks small on picture compared to real life though ha!

I always carried weight on my stomach but during first trimester it all dropped off! And now I carry a little on my stomach but I think I have gained a big bum now :o i think! still in 10-12 clothes (maternity clothes) whereas before i was 12-14 more 14.

ZhenXiang · 26/09/2011 11:19

Thanks Woowa for the swing tip, will try that today :)

Innocent your hip pain does sound like sciatica, I had it with last pregnancy and for a while afterwards if I over did lifting or carrying. Luckily it hasn't started up yet so cross fingers it will hold off a bit longer.

Sorry if I have completely missed this before didn't join thread until quite late, but are you expecting twins?

My bump is at the front, haven't started the expansion elsewhere yet as still going gym and doing lots of walking. I am feeling lots of wriggles and kicks, DH says he can also feel kicks now at side of bump and lower down when I am lying on my side at night.

PDog · 26/09/2011 12:03

So sorry to hear your news gonerogue my thoughts are with you and your family.

InnocentRedhead · 26/09/2011 12:32

Zhen No, only the one. I was convinced at first that there was two, but after scans they said only one. There is something still inside me that is saying that I am still having twins, like a baby hidden behind baby on the scan. I always refer to the child as 'they/them'. They are not an IT, and they are not a he/she yet IYSWIM

I have only just got a bigger bump in the last week , as they were playing in my back until last week. I am probably just carrying a lot of fluid though.

phlossie · 26/09/2011 12:42

Nice bump, innocent! Also liking the star tat!

littlemonkeybix · 26/09/2011 13:28

impressive bump there innocent - I now officially have bump envy!! Wink

Mine's just looking flabby and pathetic... but quite pronounced! My mum even told me to stop sticking my tum out for effect the other day!! I actually told her to Eff Off!! Grin She was laughing when I showed her the full extent of how big I look while sucking in!!

Saying that, DP agrees with me that it looks like my face has thinned!! I know I am a size 20, but I've always been broad... bit of a sporty youth! So I didn't look a size 20... more a 16/18. But I look FAT with this tum at the min... but the scales only say I've put on about 6lb. I think it's because I have no appetite in the evening!!

Squiglettsmummy2bx · 26/09/2011 13:40

Haven't been on the bus for ages so jumping on board now, 20 week scan on Wednesday & I am sooooo excited Grin as are my kids who are insisting they cone too & so it will be a family affair. Bump is huge, loads of wiggles & feeling ok.
Hope everyones bumps are cooking nicely x

Sugar80 · 26/09/2011 13:44

Gonerogue I'm so sorry to hear your news.

My bump's going wide :( I wanted a nice, neat, all in front bump but it ain't happening... I'm not over eating, do loads of walking, and still getting out riding at least three times a week. I've only put on 3lbs in total (lost 3lbs in first trimester, so 6lbs in the last 4/5 weeks) so it must be the baby spreading out!!

Still no movement. Reckon I've just got a lazy one!

18+1

Kayano · 26/09/2011 16:45

Had some proper lovely kicks last night and today at work. I'm turning into one of those mothers to be that I hate, seeming to talk of nothing else or think of nothing else and I have an urge to post every single thing on Facebook!

I'm resisting but I did wonder if complaining about needing the loo due to baby was an appropriate status update lol Grin

I'm not thinking about babies for the rest of the night and instead going to watch some brilliant old films... Such as flight of the Navigator Grin

I need a life!
