Ugh, stupid phone! Sorry for double post.

m1nn1em0u5e · 29/09/2011 19:08

Evening all....feel really erghhh tonight, so hot & bothered & tired & achey....im lay in a dark room with a big glass of ice & cold water trying to shake this feeling off....DH is bathing the children, so I can hear the chaos & water splashing from here....nice cool bath & an early night for me....think I will crawl into work tomorrow if I still feel like this :/ 23+1

m1nn1em0u5e · 29/09/2011 19:10

Xavielli....Thats a shame they couldnt see the sex of the baby....we had to go back for a 2nd time as the little monkey was all scrunched up....he is definitely all boy though!....lol

Xavielli · 29/09/2011 20:05

How much are you paying for the gender scans ladies? Not sure I can justify the expense.

Kayano · 29/09/2011 20:20

Me and DH said if we couldn't find out this scan we wouldn't pay for an additional scan. Too poor lol. All my money is goin on the iCandy Strawberry! Lol Blush

Squiglettsmummy2bx · 29/09/2011 20:33

Mine is £79 & they will keep doing them until I get an answer, lol. A lot of money but my mum has given me money for my pram & I have most other stuff from my older DCs so I don't have much to buy myself.

ZhenXiang · 29/09/2011 21:40

Welcome newbies :) and congrats Kayano on your pink bub Thanks

woowa · 29/09/2011 21:43

ha ha on sex with swollen lady bits queenfee, can't imagine anything worse when this swelling happens. Not that I feel like sex anyway. I'm a crap wife! INterestingly, i've been really active today and the bits have been back to normal, more or less, so i'm thinking that the extra sitting around isn't good for me and I need to keep doing stuff. How tedious!!

It's been BOILING in teesside today, and northumberland which is where we went on DHs day off. Alnwick gardens, reccommend to anyone with toddlers! So nice to have a bit of lovely weather for a change!

Xavielli, know how you feel about waiting. DH got an application in last week, closing date was friday, and we still haven't heard if he's even got an interview. I think we both think that everyday now they'll be a letter saying no (as we assume they'd have called up pretty quiclkly if he'd been shortlisted), but no letter ever arrives. Sigh. ANother application will be in tomorrow somewhere else, got 7 months now til we have to leave this job and the tied house!!

innocent, honestly, get as much second hand stuff as possible and spend as little as possible on new things, most stuff you'll barely use, and i've learnt as we've gone along what's useful and what's not, and so much baby stuff is a total waste of money. Your baby needs you, your time and your love, everything else is optional (apart from nappies!!)

night all!

22+2

Sugarkane · 29/09/2011 22:20

innocent Hope your ok today money is tight here at the min and I also have times of wondering what the hell we are doing but then I remember as mentioned above as long as you have love boobies/bottles and nappies the baby will be just fine. I look at it like this you never know what is around the corner, if you push for your dreams they will come in the end (ever hopeful me Grin).

Welcome the returners and newbies.

Im just plodding along some days are good and I have loads of energy and low level pain with SPD others are a nightmare, just wish I could take something on these days paracetamol just will not touch it. Sad

My dog was scanned with 5 puppies yesterday, god I feel sorry for her, she wont leave my side I think she knows we are in the same boat.

melliebobs · 30/09/2011 07:46

1 hr 45 to go. I'm a bag of nerves and have to supervise dh down the motorway to the hospital. I'll be a wreck by the time I get there

InnocentRedhead · 30/09/2011 07:49

Aww what a lovely dog sugarkane! Bless her. What is the gestation period of a dog? Feel a little better today about money, sat down with DP and we just talked everything over, the only stuff we have bought new is cotbed, pushchair/carseat and breastpump, all of it on sale anyway! Everything else being bought for us or second hand from ebay! Oh and the probable thousand nappies we have already bought, they are fine up to size 3 already!!

Scan day today, a little nervous, me and DP have decided to find out, names are stressing us both out so we have decided to find out now. DP wanted to know anyway! I know I'm another pink though! Got work straight after my scan aswell!!

Xavielli · 30/09/2011 08:18

Good luck on the scans ladies! Hope your bumps are more cooperative than my little monkey lol

melliebobs · 30/09/2011 08:30

1 hr 45?! I can't tell time when I wrote that. 30 mins and BUSTING for the toilet. Every time it bloomin moves its reeeeally uncomfortable. Argh

babycarmen · 30/09/2011 08:44

Xavielli were paying £115 for ours but thats including the 4d scan, Its £95 for the gender scan alone!

Well physio was ok.. I wanted to punch the poor lady half way through. My pelvis is not aligned and my right hip is higher then my left, so she had to try and pull it back into place. I cried like a baby the whole way through i was so sore and it was roasting in there! And theyve given me crutches. Yay! :( My back feels a lot better today though so i think the procedure worked a bit. Ive to go back on Monday.

DP was a saint yesterday, i dont know how he puts up with me! DDs reply (shes nearly 4) to me having crutches was "Can i have pink ones mummy?!" :D

Sugarkane · 30/09/2011 09:32

Innocent only 63 days and not long left for her now.

How come everyone but me has been told to drink loads for 20 week scan ive been told I dont need to??? Good luck with the scans im very Envy.

Babycarmen Great news about the physio, might push me to book mine now as ive been holding off because they were useless last time.

Ive had my appointment to have my wisdoms out, then they called me to make it earlier as they had a cancellation. I cant bloody wait to get rid of the pain, although my letter says something about possible xrays? Im not allowed them am I? I think its just a standard letter. Oh well they know im PG so will just keep reminding them just in case.

phlossie · 30/09/2011 09:35

That's very sweet about your dog, sugarkane! When are her pups due? I have an image of you doing labour breathing together. Can you imagine carrying 5? The mind boggles!

Glad you got to see the physio, babycarmen you poor thing! Some people (me) get a bit achy and call it SPD - but yours is the real thing.

I woke up this morning and made a weasel out of an old sock before breakfast. As you do.

DH and I went out for dinner last night, which was lovely.

Another weirdo scorching day today!

CoffeeOne · 30/09/2011 09:46

SCAN DAY TODAYYY!!!

Good luck to others also scanning today, eee! Thanks

Xavielli · 30/09/2011 09:56

Lol mellie! I hope you went for a wee as you don't need a full bladder for the anomaly scan!

CoffeeOne · 30/09/2011 10:00

Really Xav? My appointment letter told me I need to!

Sugarkane · 30/09/2011 10:07

Coffee Ive also been told no need with all 3, but better be safe than sorry and drink some anyway as your letter says to.

Bubble is due on the 27th October, so I will be able to give her and the pups my full attention when the time comes, although DP is very good and is more relaxed than me come birth time, so no doubt he will take over that part and I will just be on poo picking up duty. Hmm

CoffeeOne · 30/09/2011 10:19

Maybe it's mine and Mellie's area? We're under the same NHS. I'll just drink a bit haha.

So cute about your pups Sugar, are you keeping any?

melliebobs · 30/09/2011 10:20

Good luck for later Coffee

Well i'm done. And (drumroll please) ...................... I'm on .......... Team Purple [hmmm] the little sod was going mental all jiggy on the car on the way there (and is now btw) but as soon as i was on that bed they decided sleepy time. Great for the sonographer to get all the measurements, but like it's mother it was asleep just like me. Hand above/just on their face, there little legs out strait and crossed at their ankles. Bless her the lady doing the scan really tried her best. She tilted the bed so my head was almost on the floor and my legs were in the air. She got me to lie on my left and had a look. Then back on my back. Then got me to lie on my right to have a look. Then back on my back to have a look. And then she said 'oooh it's moved', me and dh get all excited only to be told they'd tucked their legs under their bum as if they were kneeling down. Pip is officially grounded! lol not that it was going anywhere for a while!

So there we go. At my hospital they've just put scan photos up to £4 EACH but the lady said just get the one token and she gave us 4 photos so that's pretty good :) But aaaaaaargh the little tinker!

spookshowangellovesit · 30/09/2011 10:49

how annoying i would have to pay for one then i need to know the sex. but glad all is well and healthy.

melliebobs · 30/09/2011 10:54

im kinda in 2 minds about it now. From the start I always said i wanted a suprise but DH had kind of talked me round. Also i've seen the cutest winter boy clothes in Tesco and wanted to go get some! We were talking of maybe having a 4D scan because it's our first but not sure yet

Sugarkane · 30/09/2011 10:57

Awww mellie will you have a gender scan or has baby decided for you that
the gender is going to be a surprise? They wont tell you at my hospital and cant afford a private scan so its lucky we didnt want to find out. Grin

Coffee I really want to because they are both excellent breed standard, fingers crossed their puppies will be the same but I dont think I will be able to cope with 3 DC 3 dogs and a puppy, never say never though I will prob fall in love with them all.
