Trix You're fine to fly BUT will need a letter from doctor saying you're fit and healthy if flying after 29 weeks - airline won't let you on board without it! we had trouble flying last time and I was 27 weeks so before the date that needs a letter - had to show notes to prove I was only 27 weeks as had BIG bump and they discussed phoning my dr to check I was healthy. mention it to your midwife and she should be able to organise letter nearer the time.HTH x

Trix. Am fine thanks. Will be most jealous if you pop before me

Kitegirl is loving it up snowboarding in Italy. Lucky gal! Can't remember if she's away for 1 week or 2 though.

rubles · 19/01/2006 13:38

Hi y'all.
I wasn't going to say anything for various reasons... I sort of hoped I could just slip off the radar, but I couldn't stop myself coming and looking at the thread today for some reason, (to torture myself?...don't know) anyway, as you may have guessed from the way this post is going I sadly miscarried. Last week....Friday 13th appropriately enough, I was 9 weeks.
So you'd better take me off the list.

It sounds like you are all doing very well, and most of you are almost into the second trimester. Nearly there! All the very, very best to you all - I'll keep an eye on you all, no doubt.

I am sooo unspeakably jealous, I so wish I was still part of this group, but hopefully it will be onwards and upwards for me.

lunavix · 19/01/2006 13:43

oh no rubles I was so hoping odds were against us and we'd all make it. My eyes filled up with tears reading your post...

Please try and be brave, I know it's so hard I've been there myself and I'm living each day as if I'm waiting for it now...

I'm sure you'll get here again soon.
xx

webchick · 19/01/2006 13:54

Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well.

I have been feeling a lot less pregnant this week and I notice it mostly with the clothes I am wearing - feel as if my tummy has receded a bit. Boobs feel the same though. I havent had any sickness anyway and my appetite is still the same. I am a bit worried and called the midwife and she said wait until next Fri for my 12 week scan. It will be a long 8 days but cannot do anything else really.

Nbg · 19/01/2006 13:58

Oh god Rubles

So so sorry.

I hope you feel ok.

xxx

aprilgirl · 19/01/2006 14:27

freddysays · 19/01/2006 14:46

Rubles, what a shame, I am really sorry to hear that. You must be heart broken. I hope with each day you feel a bit better and I hope your next try everything clicks into place for you. Take care of yourself and take your time too.

olivo · 19/01/2006 15:32

trix1 · 19/01/2006 16:45

purpleturtle · 19/01/2006 17:23

So sorry Rubles. Thanks for letting us know though. Hope you've got some good support around you.

Arabica · 19/01/2006 17:52

Rubles, I am so sorry to hear what's happened. I also had a miscarriage at 9 weeks and I know just how devastating it felt. Sadly there are many of us in mumsnet land who have had m/cs...and therefore lots of virtual support and online hugs for you.

melsy · 19/01/2006 19:45

Sorry to read your news rubles. I also know how hard it is with m/c , hopefully you can fall quickly again like I did the 2nd time and went on to have my dd.

Nbg · 20/01/2006 13:18

How is everyone today?

I am going to admit my first craving....

Ham sandwiches

Can't get enough!

I am getting slightly concerned about the size of my belly though. It's huge!
I' begining to wonder if I've got something else in there...

olivo · 20/01/2006 14:15

hi everyone!
nbg - at least thats not an unhealthy one! my yearnig for 'potato products' 9 cold mashed, waffles and crisps!!) can't be doing me any good at all !

I have to confess to having taken the day off work - I was up most of the night retching over the toilet (sorry! Tmi!)and felt totally shattered so I called in sick - then I slept from 9 till 2!!!! never seen so much sleep but obviously really needed it.

I think I read that sickness can peak at wks nine or 10 - anyone know anything?

hope evryone has a good day.x

olivo · 20/01/2006 14:16

oops! that 9 should have been a ( !!
all that sleep must have got to me!

Arabica · 20/01/2006 14:58

Don't want to destroy your hopes Olivo, but I felt sicker today than ever and I am 12 + 2. I don't puke though, just go pale green like a swooning Victorian lady.

Nbg · 20/01/2006 15:10

I have heard about the peaking thing too however it "normally" lasts at the latest till 14 weeks not 12 weeks.

I think it's great getting cravings. It's like when your poorly and you crave a certain food. Your body obviously wants these things. Strange but fab!

Congratulations to you Arabica for hitting the 12 week mark

10+3 today!

olivo · 20/01/2006 15:47

Hmmm, not sounding so good then!! Although I think a swooning Victorian lady sounds very elegant - I look a total mess!pale, spotty and big black eye-baggage!!
well done btw Arabica, for 12 weeks!

I suppose the only consolation is knowing that something is making us feel like that - on the days where I've felt ok, I've panicked that its all over. roll on a few weeks time!

aprilgirl · 20/01/2006 16:10

yay yay yay.... im 12 weeks by goodness thats an achievment for me so sooooooooo pleased, feeling fine, infact better than ever!!! (sorry all you pukeys at the mo) kisses for ya xxxx

Nbg · 20/01/2006 16:15

Oooh congrats to you too Aprilgirl

melsy · 20/01/2006 17:09

ooh good one getting to 12 weeks Arabica & aprilgirl , its my turn nxt week , heres hoping. Im 10+ 7 today.

Ive had a really ropey dodgy day , wasnt great to see my breakfast again . Ive also sprained my foot/ankle , by falling out my front door yesterday, so have that strapped up today. Ive felt really badly sick and shaky all day. I had to bring dd into my bed this afternoon after her nap as I was feeling so ruff.

my cravings have been carbohydrates(toast/crisps/crackers /potato ) all with lashings of butter , except the crisps !!!! and mint choc chip ice cream , earlier on it was grapefruit and kiwi, oooooops getting way unhealthy now.
