Kayz - urgh, heartburn. I had it last time but it hasn't kicked in yet this time. Gaviscon etc made me sick but my midwife recommended lovehearts - it's wierd but they do work. Probably not great for keeping the weight off though.

Ginger - it's horrible when you are getting up and coming home from work in the dark isn't it. The days feel sooooo long. I hate the clocks changing, DD has gone from waking at 6 to getting up at 5. Really hoping that doesn't last too long.

I'm starting to feel much better, my ms is easing and I'm less tired. Hurray Grin, it's lovely to feel a bit more human!

Kayzr · 31/10/2011 10:02

The MW is having the day off when I was meant to be having my booking in appointment. So now I'm having it a week later so it's 2 weeks away now Sad I'm fed up of waiting.

hellokittyruleswastink · 31/10/2011 12:03

kay - sorry for heartburn and appmnt being later

bumpsnowjustplump · 31/10/2011 12:15

Morning all

I am still pregnant, i have never been this pregnant before... argh

Congratulations Deige and family that is fantastic news, if you have any spare birthing vibes I could use them this way please!!

I have also had some bad news re. my polyhydramnios. They say that there could be a problem with baby and so as soon as she is born they need to put a tube down her throat and into her stomach to ensure there is no blockage. So there is something to look forward to NOT... I dont know what they will do if there is a blockage I need to ask that as I just panacked when they told me about the tube. They will also need to keep an eye on me as i may not contract properly after birth!! The level of fluid I have is 27cm and it should not be over 22cm. This is probably why she isn't going down into my pelvis as well as she cant fight her way past all the water! I have another sweep booked for Thursday but am really hoping things move before them as I am so uncomfortable as you can imagine carrying huge amounts of water on top of an extimated 9lb 8oz baby is not great!!

Apart from that we are all ready for her arrival and really looking forward to it..

hellokittyruleswastink · 31/10/2011 12:21

GingerbreadLatte · 31/10/2011 13:14

Bumps- Sorry to hear of the worries. Not what you want to hear so close to giving birth. Hopefully the checks will be quick and painless for baby bumps.
Do you have any names planned?

Who won Diege' sweepstake?

Rugbylovingmum · 31/10/2011 13:34

Bumps - sorry to hear about your worries Sad. Hopefully it won't be too distressing for Baby Bumps and they won't need to do anything more. I'm trying to send you labour vibes but I'm probably the wrong person since I never managed to go into labour Wink.

Ginger - I think Diege might have won her own sweepstake?

Tink - it looks nice but a bit fiddly and not very sturdy. The dolls don't look like they would stand up which would irritate DD and I think some of the little bits might get lost/broken but your DD is a year older which makes a big difference so maybe it would be fine for her. It is very pretty.

Moosy · 31/10/2011 18:29

Oh Bumps :( So sorry you're having more to worry about now, really hope it's not as bad as it sounds. I know of a few people (inc. my mum) who've had polyhydramnios with no bad after effects. I have heard that it can stop the baby engaging properly but surely if your waters go then she could move down easily? 3rd babies often don't engage until the last minute anyway. When are you seeing a consultant again? Sending you labour vibes and hoping you get a smooth ride xx

bumpsnowjustplump · 31/10/2011 18:41

Hello Moosy, thank you so much for possitive feedback on polyhydramnios all I have heard is negative. I am seeing the consultant on Thursday afternoon then onto midwife afterwards. I have to go straight in if my waters go as there is a chance that my cord could come out before baby as she is still so high up, although a dr on the triage (sp?) ward today told me that she was 1/5th in the pelvis so this wasn't a risk so I have no idea really but will go straight in if they go.....

Moosy · 31/10/2011 19:13

Oh yes I had heard about the possibilty of cord prolapse but I don't think it's very very common, and if she's already 1/5 in then that's extra good :) get nip twiddling (it's weird, but it does work! Wink F was born on the day of my choice because it works so well). Good luuuuuuuuuuck!!!!!!

GingerbreadLatte · 31/10/2011 19:30

Hi Moosy,
Thats interesting about nip twiddling. I tried and failed, i think. I tried lots of things towards the end! How in advance did you start? LOL was it quite ermm, vigourous? I do think that there is one good thing to get them out but its not really what you fancy at 40wks!

Good luck bumps :)

Lots of T-or-T'ers here. I am so miserable Grin , I dont like Halloween so have been hiding in dark house and hope they go away. My excuse was getting DD ready for bed!

:)

Moosy · 31/10/2011 19:37

Ginger, I think you have to be pretty vigourous, DH helped! You have to do it enough that you enjoy/hate it - it's a very strange thing! I did it in the evening, labour started at 3.30am and she was born at 7.40am :o

GingerbreadLatte · 31/10/2011 19:44

thanks moosy. Have made note for the future. :) I definately wasnt rough enough I dont think!

Diege · 01/11/2011 09:22

Hello! Just a quick one to let you know that I've put a few photos of Samuel onto my profile (first 3 piccies). Will post back later with more details etc and when I've had a read through xxx

Diege he is gorgeous!!! The picture with your girls is lovely - were they excited to meet their new little brother? Hope you are feeling well and enjoying being home. BTW I love the name Samuel Apollo Bear Grin.

largeginandtonic · 01/11/2011 14:29

Diege! Congratulations love. He is gorgeous. Please call him Samuel Apollo Bear Grin I have a Samuel, fab name!

GruffaloSoldier · 01/11/2011 16:27

Congratulations Diege and family :) lovely name! Xxx

Hello everyone. Hands full here as usual. Having a bit of a tough time. Hope to post properly soon!

StarsArentSpooky · 01/11/2011 22:30

Congratulations again Diege - gorgeous photos. Your DDs look so proud Grin. Hope you're all settling in well at home.
Gruff - poor you, hope tomorrow is a better day. Are you in the 4-7 month phase with DS2? I found that the hardest with DC2. Remember - "It is a phase and it too shall pass". I'm sure that doesn't help in the slightest and possibly the tough time is not related to DC but your DM. We're here if you need to offload at all. Otherwise, a sneaky is headed your way.
Bumps - poor you with all these challenges. Glad Moosy could offer up some reassurance. Hope the appointment on Thurs goes okay and baby makes an appearance soon.
Rugby - glad you're feeling a bit better.
Hi to everyone else.

SESthebrave · 02/11/2011 07:35

Morning all :)

Diege - I am so happy for you! He is absolutely gorgeous :) Sounds like he put up a bit of a fight to reach us - do fill us in when you get chance! What does DS1 make of DS2? Is your DH off on PL for a couple of weeks to help with the other DC?
:) Grin :) Grin :) Grin
Oh and have some Thanks too!

Gruff - good to hear from you and sorry things are tough at the moment. I'll clear a space on the wagon sofa for you and try and rustle up some brownies. Do pop back and offload if it will help.

Star - hello! Love your Halloween name Grin

Bumps - hope your appointment goes well tomorrow and hope all goes smoothly for your new LO when she arrives. Things rarely seem to go as planned but often work out fine anyway and hopefully within the week you'll be at home having lots of newborn cuddles.

Moosy - hello! How's the sink?

LG&T - not long for you to hang on now either! Do make sure you keep us updated!

Ginger - I don't really like Halloween either. I don't like the fact that I feel obliged to have treats in. Sure enough though I had a large carrier bag full of sweets at the ready but no TorTers!!

Rugby - glad you're starting to feel more human :)

Smithy - hope your MS is easing too

Cant - how are things?

Hello Kayz, tink and anyone else I've missed.

Got my usual Wednesday off here - busy but fun-filled :)

My sickness last week was definitely omelette related. I won't be going back to that cafe! I was a bit wiped out and lost quite a few pounds (temporarily!) Feeling lots better now though. My MS is also doing better although I tend to feel quite nauseous in the evenings.

Right best get on and see what mischief O is up to!

Morning Star

Hi Ses - glad you are feeling better after 'the omelette incident'. We had loads of TorTers this year, I thought that we had way too much chocolate in (and was sneakily looking forward to eating some of it) but it all went and we had to move the pumpkin away from the window by 8pm. I was impressed that all the kids were very polite and they had some great costumes. DD kept saying 'bit scary mummy' and hiding behind my legs but still insisted on coming to the door with me so I think she was secretly enjoying it all Grin.

When the clocks went back at the weekend DD started waking at 5am again but for the last 2 mornings she has slept in until 7am Shock. I can't remember the last time that happened and it feels brilliant! I just hope we get a few more mornings like that.

SESthebrave · 02/11/2011 08:58

Sounds like you had a good Halloween Rugby and yat for DD sleeping in :)

I was going to make the first porridge of winter for breakfast but have run out of time so having crumpets instead :)
