Ginger it was very good thanks. We went to the football with his Dad on the Saturday.

Did you have a nice weekend?

bumpsnowjustplump · 03/10/2011 13:34

Hello tis me the absent one.. Grin

Smithy congratulations I am so sorry for being rude but have you name changed? Or is my pregancy brain getting in the way of me remembering who you are!! Shock

ML starts today yippee but have so much to do at home.

Baby is breach and back to back so am doing my best to get her to move around... She is also a whooper even mw says there is no chance of me having a little one is there gulp...

DS is poorly again. Back on Ranitidine which is helping but worried as now his gums are bleeding and his hair is falling out.. We are back to gp this afternoon.

I have had my first serious problem with another child. DS got smacked in the face at a party saturday and has a black eye. I was very calm on the outside but could have drop kicked the lad (who was twice the size although not much older than ds) over the fence... I was very nice though and he was just a baby but ds has been so poorly I could have cried when I saw his face.. tis still there as welll Sad

Good luck for all those due to test soon,

Rugbylovingmum · 03/10/2011 14:10

Hi all,

Smithy - congratulations Grin.

Kayz - glad you had a great weekend and DP enjoyed his birthday. I have everything crossed for another couple of HONKs this month.

Ginger - when does the 2ww start? Hoping for a bfp for you.

Bumps - poor DS Sad. Bad enough to be feeling poorly without a big bully making things worse. I hope the gp can give him something to help. Hooray for ML Smile. I can't wait to finish up at work but still another 10 weeks notice to go .

Tink - glad you had a good weekend. We go to The Deep quite often and DD loves it. She spend hours watching the huge tanks but her fav bit is the screen thing on the floor where you can chase the goldfish IYKWIM

Hi Diege, Ses

DD and I have had a fun morning at toddler group and she is now off having a nap. Might go to the park this afternoon if I can find the energy, the pregnancy tiredness is still killing me. I called the doctor's surgery today to make a midwife appt but I have to see the gp first - no idea why. They said it was to check dates and make sure I'm healthy but surely the midwife can do that? I have my booking in appt on 18th Oct. Will be a bit Blush to tell him I'm really not sure about my dates but hoping he suggests booking my scan in soon to be sure Wink. I doubt it but I'll have my fingers crossed anyway.

Kayzr · 03/10/2011 14:15

Poor DS Bumps. I hope GP is helpful. Yay for ML. Try and take it easy! Smile

Rugby I love the deep as do the boys. I like watching the jellyfish as I love the way they move Smile

I'm only 4dpo but decided today I'm going to try really hard to not symptom spot at all. Last time it was awful wondering if that bug is really ms, is my back aching cos I'm PG etc etc

I give myself 12 hours Grin

Diege · 03/10/2011 17:09

I give you 30 mins KAYZ Grin.
BUMPS, I was just thinking about you and wondering how you were, oh stranger Grin. I am also in the 'need to turn' baby position, though have oblique lie which isn't what you want in labour, but almost there (ie, he's diagonal!). I feel your Angry about the bully boy - I have to admit to confronting kids like that in playbarns (after obvious malicious behaviour of course!), and find the smiling through gritted teeth while issuing threats tend to work Blush Hope your ds is ok - did you confront the parent?
SMITHY, many congrats!!! And keep in touch!
TINKS, your weekend sounded perfect.
GING, how are things?
35 weeks here and now that I've gt over the sinusitus the spd has returned with a vengeance! Consultant says it's not going to go now, so no point getting a physio referral Hmm, and that spd can actually help with labour (double Hmm). I suppose he knows this from personal experience????
First day of ML here too, but have been trying to finish reports that I've just been putting off!

Kayzr · 03/10/2011 17:13

Diege that's bull!!! I was 35 weeks when I saw physio and she told me different ways of moving etc to help keep it under control.

Diege · 03/10/2011 17:27

I know, bull it is...I think he's taking into account the fact that it will take 3-4 weeks to go through the system (by which time I will be walking like John Wayne!). I have had some good tips here, and on other threads, so will have to self-medicate as it were. Can I ask if wearing a pelvic belt thingy helped for you?

Diege · 03/10/2011 17:29

Meant to say, hope all is well SES if you are lurking. Is your scan tomorrow or next Tuesday?

Kayzr · 03/10/2011 17:37

Yeah it did help with me. It made everything much easier

Kayzr · 03/10/2011 17:47

Does heartburn at 4dpo count?? Wink

Ses, hope all goes well tomorrow. Will be thinking of you xx

Moosy · 03/10/2011 18:00

Diege, I've still got the pelvic support belt that Bumps sent me when I had it mildly with DD3, I didn't use it though as it got better before it got bad enough (iyswim). Would you like me to post it to you?

Diege · 03/10/2011 18:15

Ooh MOOSY that would be brilliant - will pay P&P I'm sure it will help!
KAYX heartburn 4dpo def counts Grin

Moosy · 03/10/2011 18:16

Hee, it's just a big velcro-y stretchy thing (looks very, er, functional!) at least it's white though, not skin colour!

Diege · 03/10/2011 18:18

Grin Awww I was hoping for 'skin colour' Wink Sounds the biz!

bumpsnowjustplump · 03/10/2011 18:33

it is the biz Diege it is the latest trend Grin... It did help me but still ended up on crutches by 32 weeks... I have only had it mildly this time so I think (although mw has dismissed my idea) that it was carrying a boy that did it for me...

Diege I couldn't fault the Mum and dad of bully boy, they were straight onto it and punnished him straight away..

Back from dr and he says the hair falling out is very bad dermatitis of the scalp and the gums look fine so I feel very relieved. Does anyone think the bleeding gums also be a sign of him lacking any vits or minerals? If so any recomendations for a suppliment??

Kayzr · 03/10/2011 19:54

Bumps I'm glad it's nothing to serious with DS.

I feel awful tonight. I woke up at 3am and was awake for about an hour before I got back to sleep. Then DS2 woke up at 6. I think I'll be in bed at 9

smithylovesme · 03/10/2011 20:05

Hi Everyone
Ginger- still not sunk in, boobs a bit heavier and itchy only reason i believe i am is that AF has not showed up and the BFP of course. How long have you got until you start symptom spotting :o

Bump- i have changed names but a while ago use to originally in the very beginning be 2beautifulgirls? More clues i moved to US shortly after DS was boen to return 12 months later. But pregnancy brain will get yeh everytime. I am sure the bean is already eating away at mine, i went to asda today shopping and went to pay on my card and totally forgot my pin 2 wrong attempts, had to call DH and ask him what it was. i was so [embarassed] big queue behind me tutting. As soon as he told me i knew it was that, been putting in the right numbers just wrong way round.
Glad ML has started sounds like you have lots planned to keep you busy.
Sorry about what happened with DS, sounds like you dealt with it very well, i get very over protective with all my DC and not sure i would of been as calm :) Sorry he is not feeling very well again and hope the doc gave you something to help him get back on track, sounds like he is having a rough time of it poor thing. recommendation for supplements best person would probably be SES for that.
What are you trying to turn DD2 and how big were you other DC?

Rugby- sorry you are feeling the pregnancy triedness, good signs though. Not sure what the procedure is here for midwife booking in, even though DS is only 2.5 seems a lifetime ago and have forgotten it all. Hope you get your early scan to confirm dates. Don't worry about being embarassed telling the Doc i am sure he has heard it before and much worse ;)

Kayz- so what symptoms have you spotted so far ;) last month i has everything symptom going, this one none just knew i was pregnant. When will you test?

Diege- congrats on starting the ML, but why are you still working? Consultant sounds like he knows nothing about pregnant women and SPD, i hope the very sexy sounding pelvic belt. Made need one myself as suffered last time with my hips and pelvis but midwife just shrugged it off, as they do i am hoping its a different one this time.

Tink- how was the rest of the weekend and journey home?

SES- been thinking of you.

hello everyone else :)

Still in shock, sending DH to docs to get the snip he has appt Fri. When should i called docs to see the midwife and was thinking if they would give me a early scan because of MMC last time?

Kayzr · 03/10/2011 20:10

Smithy nothing really just feeling exhausted. Oh and heartburn. I never ever have it when I'm not pregnant. But today I think it has more to do with large piece of birthday cake and ice creamSmile

Rugbylovingmum · 03/10/2011 20:26

Hee hee - I've just been to the docs and think I might have worried him Grin. He was reading through my history and the conversation went like this:

GP - so you have one baby already, what did you have
Me - a girl
GP - so you had a c-section
Me - yes
GP - was it planned
Me - no (with an 'are you crazy, I could have avoided the worlds longest induction if it was planned' face)
GP - oh don't worry, I'm sure everything will be fine, congratulations anyway

I then realised the 'was it planned' was about the pregnancy not the c-section and my 'God no' face had worried him Grin. He sent the rest of the appt making very reassuring noises about how wonderful babies are Grin. Wonder what he puts on my notes.

SESthebrave · 03/10/2011 20:47

Hello all!

Smithy - congratulations!! Must have been a bit of a shock but hopefully a good one! After I had 2mmc, I got an early scan at 8 weeks so worth asking. With the second one they scanned me early anyway as I wasn't sure of my dates as hadn't had a period after the first one.
How's everthing else? Do I remember rightly that you are doing a nursing or MW course?

Bumps - sorry DS is having a tough time of it at the moment. With regard to his bleeding gums, it won't do any harm to use a multivitamin in the short term (I'd use a multivitamin as vitamins B, C & D can help). Also (I know it's not easy but...) just be careful how he brushes his teeth - thorough but not too rough. Also, I think you had him allergy tested but might be worth thinking about his diet and shampoo for the dermatitis

Diege - yay for the wagon SPD support belt! Hope it helps more than your silly Dr Wink

Kayz - at least it sounds like the heartburn is because of a good reason, either cake or BFP Grin
Sounds like you had a good weekend (except for the result of the North London Derby?!)

Rugby - It's the same here in that I have to see my GP and book with the MW separately. I have no idea why!

Giraffe - good luck for this month!

tinks - we loved The Deep too!

Moosy - hello!

Thanks for all the good wishes for tomorrow. On the one hand I'm feeling quite positive as my boobs are so sore and I look pg already Blush
(Am I allowed to blame that on the fact my belly is flabby & confused having been pg 5 times in the last 3.5yrs?!)
On the other hand, I'm really scared as my odds are so rubbish! Really don't know how I'll handle it if it's bad news again.
On the other hand (again!), they may not be able to give me a clear answer. I reckon I'm 6+3 tomorrow and my GP reckons 5+6 so things may not be obvious.
Appointment is 9.10am so I'll log on as soon as I can after that and update you all.
