Morning All.

Pan-fuls of mince makes my stomach churn - not good!

I love Crunchy nut cornflakes at the moment.

Done some more organising in the nursery last night. Brought some Winnie the pooh wall stickers off eBay so I can put those on when they arrive. It's all coming together yay. Also started washing clothes and sheets :)

OiMissus · 12/08/2011 08:32

Aw! More nursery preparation. :)
I'm 24 weeks today - that's 60% there! Yippee! ...so I've got AGES to start my prep... haven't I? (the last 12 weeks have gone so fast!)

kri5ty · 12/08/2011 08:35

The only reason i am doing it now, is that i like everything my own way :o hehe... and i won't be able to climb up step ladders to attatch fake vines to the ceiling when i get bigger, and if i left it to Dan it wouldn't get done until i was in labour as he is so laid back lol

kri5ty · 12/08/2011 08:37

ps 56% yay and 3 months today until i plan to leave work! :o

msbuggywinkle · 12/08/2011 08:52

I had a very hungry day yesterday, spent most of the afternoon steadily eating my way through my friend's fruit bowl! Not that I am that healthy usually, I just really needed grapes and apples for some reason. I've put on 3lb (unusual for me to have put any weight on yet in pregnancy!) but I'll upload a bump pic in a minute...not showing off the actual bump as my stretch marks are erm, interesting and criss crossing with the ones from previous pregnancies! Lucky I don't mind them really.

Today I am living on very strong coffee as DD2 was up from 3am to 6am very cross with DP and me about a collection of syllables that neither of us could translate. Very rare for her to wake up at night actually unless she is ill so will be keeping an eye on her.

HoneyLovesCake · 12/08/2011 09:00

Morning ladies! I'm catching up on the thread while on my exercise bike trying to burn of yesterdays pastry fix Grin First exercise I've done in ages & I've stopped to type this Hmm doesn't bode well does it?

Snap kri5ty i've put on 1.5 stone too but I went from a low carb lifestyle to eating cakes & biscuits Blush so it was bound to happen.

Right, back to it...

kri5ty · 12/08/2011 09:00

aww msbuggy big hugs for her, i hope she is ok :)

mmm I actually really fancy a kiwi!!

i think i have started to develop a linea nigra too... it is def not hair (i think i would prefer it if it was!!)

kri5ty · 12/08/2011 09:04

yup Honey... i used to eat what i wanted anyway... but i must admit i am eating slightly more unhealthy than normal, plus i am not allowed to do my actual job anymore, and that kept me fairly active, now i am sitting behind a comp on MN all day!!

msbuggywinkle · 12/08/2011 09:21

Can someone check if my pic has worked, internet did something odd during upload...

OiMissus · 12/08/2011 09:33

The pic has worked - the bump is there - another impressive bump! How come you've only put on 3lb?? (I think my chest has put on more than that!) - Hope DD2 is OK.
I was lo carb during the week and a bit naughty at weekends, but since getting pregnant I am hi carb. I got into bread to stave off the 1st tri nausea, and now it's a habit.

HoneyLovesCake · 12/08/2011 09:40

kri5ty I used to eat whatever I wanted no problem at all; my figure was boyish I guess but around my mid-20's I developed curves out of nowhere Confused & living LC just suited me better; I'm a vegetarian so it was really eye-opening...until I started LCing I didn't realise how low my protein levels had gotten. I planned on exercising through my pregnancy; I jogged & did pilates but the 1st trimester left me too exhausted to do anything at all; hopefully I can get back into it now :)

msbuggy I see your bump! Very impressive. Grin Oooh, seems we all look preggers now! V. exciting.

sevensevenseven · 12/08/2011 09:50

msbuggy that's a very impressive bump! I hope your DD2 is ok, try to take it easy, DS had a bad night a few days ago, I can't handle it like I used to!

Is anyone else not in the big bum club? I increased by 2 cup sizes in the first trimester, currently an E so I'm starting the big boob club instead.

All I fancy eating is sweet things. Despite eating masses of chocolate I've only put on 9lbs. I'm still struggling to eat dinner though, I'm often still full from lunch so I guess that's why I'm not putting on more.

msbuggywinkle · 12/08/2011 09:54

No idea why I don't put on loads of weight, with the DDs I put on about 7lb in the last month of each pregnancy and about 6 weeks later was a stone lighter than pre-preg. I don't eat especially healthily during pregnancy, but do tend to get very healthy cravings, usually for green veg, warmed up rather than cooked.

Because I'm already breastfeeding (have been bfing for just over 5 years continuously now!) I don't change size really during pregnancy, but I am a 34FF anyway. I'm also very short, so there isn't much upward space for bump...living in hope of a normal newborn sized baby though this time, DDs were 6lb 3 and 5lb11!

Envy of those who can eat what they want, I have to either eat like a bird or exercise like mad to stay the same weight usually, it is lovely to be able to relax when I'm pregnant. I managed to put on weight exclusively bfing a 2.9yo and newborn DD2 and donating milk for a friend's baby last time!

mopsytop · 12/08/2011 11:08

mmmm Darcies Crunchy Nut Cornflakes, think I might have to go and buy some later!

My bump is nowhere near as big as the ones in your pics, but I am only 21 weeks - does it get a lot bigger over the next few weeks?

I have put on between 8-10lbs but unfortunately was overweight before I got preg, due to a combination of comfort eating during 3 mths of fieldwork (away from husband, knew no-one, stressful fieldwork - no excuse but still) and then bad muscle tear when I got back, so couldn't walk for weeks and couldn't exercise properly for months so I will still need to lose about 3 stone when I have baby. But I should be grateful I haven't put on more while preg I guess! I really really hope breastfeeding helps me lose some. Also, now am feeling bit better with my head and can exercise again, hoping that helps too - have exercised 3 times since Monday so feeling much better!

OiMissus · 12/08/2011 11:27

One of my friends used to be very similar to me in height and weight, but since having a child and breast-feeding she is tiny! She puts it down to breast feeding. And she eats loads. I am hoping to follow her lead!

KateM77 · 12/08/2011 11:29

Having stalked all of you I've finally managed to squash a photo and add it. No bump shots as of yet, but it's still pretty small at the moment. The photo is from last weekend but the bump is hidden!

jomouse · 12/08/2011 11:31

Happy Friday lovely ladies!

Today I have been trying to work, but mostly thinking about nursery in new house. I can't remember who was having Jungle theme (sure it was this thread) but I have found these beauties
www.anthropologie.eu/en/uk/shop-by-category/wall-decor/icat/walletc/&curpage=2&itemsperpage=8&bklist=icat,5,shop,forhome,shopbyhome,walletc
Want.
Not feeling very motivated today...my Mum is coming to stay for the weekend and I need to get stuff ready and food shop as well as work but not feeling it right now...

Back to more browsing

kri5ty · 12/08/2011 11:34

Hmmm is feeling very guilty not to have been doing any exercise! I am just too lazy these days, i canlt pole dance any more in case i fall off lol nor can i horse ride .. and if i go to the gym i dont "take it easy" so i would end up doing damage!

Jogging would be nice, but even walking to the shop tires me out and makes my bump ache!!

kri5ty · 12/08/2011 11:35

jomouse i am having a jungle theme :) i'm going to have a peek at that link hehe

kri5ty · 12/08/2011 11:36

haha i loveeee the zebra!! I will have to try and talk Dan in to it!!

fusam · 12/08/2011 11:41

awww it's lovely to see everyone's pics, I promise to pull my finger out soon. My bump is fairly pronounced but my weight has remained fairly static, I lost about a stone with the sickness in the first trimester and have only gained back 4 or so pounds so far.

jomouse I love anthropolgie! Took to walking around their shop just looking at the lovely stuff, am Envy at nursery decorations from there.

sevensevenseven · 12/08/2011 11:44

kri5ty I'm not really exercising either (other than running around after DS). I'm just trying to do some yoga when I can be bothered find time.

I haven't decided how we'll decorate the nursery yet. I know we want either pink or blue but haven't even looked at stickers, curtains etc.

mopsytop · 12/08/2011 11:46

kri5ty this is the first week since pregnant I have really done any exercise and it's not mad exercise, it's walking and swimming. But I figure anything better than nothing. I do yoga once a week also but I find that more relaxing than exercise! I love the floor practice at the end, I always want to fall asleep!

jomouse · 12/08/2011 11:59

fusam if I could live there, I would
No Anthropolgie for me when we move to the sticks - thank goodness for mail order...

I have sort of given up on exercise - I walk 40 mins to tube and back each day so I guess thats something and still go up and down stairs/escalators instead of standing/taking lift.
All the exercise I used to do was fairly strenuous and I can't get used to not going for it. So I do nothing at all! Its all hills round here so I'm hoping that that counts for something.

mopsytop · 12/08/2011 12:06

I would call 80 minutes of walking pretty good exercise jomouse. When you stop you really notice the difference, when I injured my leg I really found a massive difference in weight, toning and also just my general mood. I get really low when I can't exercise.
