Now I know the threads we were in weren't finished, but there were 3 threads for the September due dates, and I thought it would be nice to get everyone together and share their experiences.

Stats thread is here If you aren't on there, then get adding yourself.

Hopefully we can all get through the last stint together :)

I'm due 1st Sept, so one month to go, if the LO is punctual.

Hi all, this is my first post on here. it's nice to read all the stories of everyone going through the same stuff.

Had a scan yesterday too jojo and got told the same thing - he's already 6.5 pounds with 5 weeks to go until due date - so I've been soothing myself with the idea that they can get these things wrong.

I'm getting quite impatient now but also feeling not ready for it to happen yet if that makes sense.

Hope you all manage a good nights sleep tonight!

ssmile · 13/08/2011 07:35

Welcome duchess
I had dreadful nights sleep seeing every hr I think between 11pm-6am with DD up lots, baby kicking, wind, then DD singing from 6am.... think i going to be bear with sore head today grrrrrrr.
Hope u all doing better.

jimmijam · 13/08/2011 09:12

Ssmile know how u feel there. Had a night where i had 2 keep getting up 2 ds followed by a night where dd kept getting up then last night dh's cpap (machine 2 keep him breathing at night) kept making strange noises so i kept getting up 2 try help him sort it out. Could do with a whole day in bed now. Dh having another lie in, think 2moro i may just kick him out the bed and stay there myself til he leaves 4 work ;+)

Jojo1983 · 13/08/2011 09:52

theduchesse glad its not just me then lol I'm now hoping they have got it wrong and its just a lot of fluid and not baby fat lol

I actually slept quite well last night which is a first did have to get up a few times to go a wee but kinda getting used to that now.

Sumi76 · 13/08/2011 12:11

The sleep or rather the lack of it, is just practice for all of us - prep time before dd or ds keep us awake all night :)

sebs71 · 13/08/2011 12:31

Ssmile - I get that tight / heavy tummy feeling - usually in evenings and going to bed and I'm putting it down to braxton hicks. Makes walking really uncomfortable and settling in bed difficult too.
Actually went to the pub last night!!! Ok was a lime and soda and I'd left by 9.15 but was nice! Last time for a while I guess.
Done loads of housework this morning, got lots of cooking this afternoon - in prep for the inlaws meet my dad! Think I'll collapse tomorrow after inlays gone and step kids gone to their mum's.
Hope everyone has a good weekend!

CBear6 · 13/08/2011 14:22

I think you're right about the sleep thing Sumi! Know what's weird though that I notice after DS was born? When I was pregnant I was getting up at roughly 1am an 4am (give or take) for a wee, then when DS was born he would wake at roughly 1am and 4am for a feed. Probably just a coincidence but makes me wonder if the body knows and is prepping itself.

We had a poorly DS last night, sporting a fever, a snotty nose, and a cough. He woke at midnight-ish and wanted to be coddled so I was in his bedroom chair with him for ages. Of course all he wanted to do, in between cuddling up to me, was give me dribbly-snotty lipped kisses. Yummy. He eventually went off but ended up in our bed at 6am, full of smiles and energy, jumping on us and shouting "ka-chow".

DH has taken him out for a walk so I'm sitting on the sofa with a cup of raspberry leaf tea and ER on the planner. It's all glamour!

ssmile · 13/08/2011 14:50

cbear I second that. I regually wake at 2am &4-5am the times my DD used to feed for a gd year so I am expecting more of the same with this one. I just hope I can get BF going like I did with DD and I used to roll her out of her basket by bed feed her lying down we both barely awake then put her back in her basket praying she didn't need a nappy change. Worked quite a lot in the exhausting early wks :o

Minkyjj · 13/08/2011 16:43

So exciting to hear that some of you guys are so close. I am still holding in there at 34 weeks and 3 days and feeling a lot more relaxed these days as I know that if I go into labour now all should be fine. Still get a lot of bh but also a lot of strong regular contractions that are alot worse than the usual BH but I know that my recent fribronectin test showed that the cervix was not showing any chemical signs of going into labour in the next two weeks so I feel fairly safe until next weekend at the earliest. I am starting to do more than I have for weeks now and I am going with DH, DS and DD tomorrow for a family "do" at my aunts house. I kind of figure that I have 4 weeks and 3 days of freedom left so I may as well enjoy it. Having done all the school uniform shopping and labelling, hired a gardener to tidy up the outside and borrowed my mums cleaner to give the house a general clean up every few weeks, I actually feel very ready for this new arrival. Famous last words!
Just for info as well for any of you struggling with the iphone 4 mumsnet problems - had a response from mumsnet saying they apologise for this problem but that apple will not remove the app so they are waiting on the app developers to find a solution - no timescale available yet for resolution unfortunately.

100years · 13/08/2011 17:14

Dear Uterus, stop practicing contracting, or if you intend to carry on DO NOT let this carry on for the next 19 days!!! Many thanks, 100years.

Been having slightly uncomfortable BH since about midnight, not regular, not getting worse, just there and am aware of it. I keep thinking come on then, get going, but then nothing for ages! Did my usual of waking at 5am and then being unable to get back to sleep, so got up, had breakie, watched shite on the tv and then went back to be when OH went out to do a parkrun. Then we listened to the cricket and I fell asleep once the game was over. The original plan was to go out for a curry, but I really don't feel like going out, we may be getting a takeaway or I make the fish pie, but I feel like doing abs naff all!

£6 for my photos too, although at my 12 week scan I wasn't scanned at the hospital and they deemed the photo to not be all that clear and so they didn't charge me for it, such a difference at the hosp on their newer more sophisticated machine.

Re the waking in the night thing at regular intervals, mine are every few hours at the moment, that makes me wonder now if I'll have a little one who wants feeding ALL the time.

TP, sorry I meant to pm you and then got sidetracked, will do it once I've posted here! :)

CBear, did the buggy come and is it what you wanted? Yes I've slowed down a huge amount, sometimes start out at slightly slower than normal speed then I slow down, then slow down some more! ER :) Are you a box set girl or do you have sky? We don't have sky so if I want to watch any I will watch the box sets, I'm planning frequent ER episodes to keep me going when LO is here in the initial stages.

Jimmi, my baby only has to be 1 minute early (aka the day before) and she will be in another school year!

feral, really feel for you being sick, I thought my sickness was making a return a few weeks ago, but it came to nothing thankfully. I was spectacularly ill up until 16 weeks and thought I was going to end up starting and finishing the pregnancy the same way!

Oooooh BH RIGHT NOW! Joy.

Minky, thanks for the update re the iPhone app. Just a case of waiting for the update.

Sorry I've not mentioned everyone personally, just a case of picking up certain bits.

Have a good saturday evening everyone :)

The buggy came and it's perfect, DH got it out and had a check. I had to stop him from assembling it there and then so he's now champing at the bit to take it for a test drive :)

ER is on the Sky Planner, best part of watching it is that DS generally falls asleep by the first ad break so I get anything up to 2hrs of cuddled-up together quiet.

Got my 36 week check on Wednesday and had to ask my Dad if he'll mind driving me. It's a quarter of a mile walk to the surgery, which is in the centre of the village, but it took me 30 mins to walk down there today and almost an hour to walk back Hmm

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I'm off for an early night as helping my mam do a carboot tomorrow morning so I need to be up and dressed at 6:30.

jimmijam · 13/08/2011 23:04

Glad u like ur buggy :-)
After being desperate 2 fall asleep all day, this evening i got a sudden urge 2 vacuum, mop, iron and make a home 2 keep the buggy in. Only its huge and u have 2 take it apart 2 fold it, so nothing cn b kept in shopping basket :-(
Wen a cpuple of ppl have mentioned doing something on 18th ive felt like i already have something planned, only i dont. Could it b a sign ;-)

ssmile · 14/08/2011 07:25

jimmijam I can relate to that. I was SO tired yester in tears at lunchtime as DH was supposed to be looking after DD so I could nap. Instead he decided he just had to change the spark plugs on his motorbikes first...grrrrrrr. I physically couldn't keep my eyes open so sat DD next to me on the bed watching ceebeebies whilst I dozed in &out. Bless DH he did take her out for few hrs later by which point id woken up &was wide awake at 11pm..... my body clock is completely lining up with a babies at the moment awake regularly through the night, needing big nap in middle of the day etc biazzare hormones??

ssmile · 14/08/2011 07:30

Glad u like ur buggy cbear , hope u sort out storage jimmijam. We used to live in a 3rd floor flat when had 1st baby I loved my buggy but it was nightmare to lug up&down stairs &fold/store. This time same make of buggy but upgraded it via eBay &now live in bungalow with garage to store buggy in so really hoping it will be a lot easier this time. Buggy watching &envy must be hobby of all mums I still find myself checking out those parked outside DD nursery :o

jimmijam · 14/08/2011 10:50

Haha i 2 glare at buggies!! we have a little maclaren stroller at the mo so we just push it past the car and keep it under the carport, but this ones much bigger and wont fit past the car :-( our house is on a hill so to get it inside will have 2 carry baby down a flight of concrete steps, go back up and do the same with shopping/ kids school sruff, then take a 3rd trip to get the puschair. Am now dreading the thought esp in rain/ice. Will have 2 get my thinking cap on b4 i end up getting annoyed with the shiny new pushchaor"
Lie in this am!!! Dd got up just after 10am, is now 10.50 and ds just getting up now :-)

ScarlettPhoenix · 14/08/2011 11:58

Hi everyone, glad to hear everyone is still doing well. I haven't had any BH yet, well at least I don't think I have.... From your descriptions they sound like a painful / uncomfortable tightening of the whole bump area, I haven't had anything like that. I wouldn't mind one or two though so I know what they feel like! Little one is still moving about lots and that is getting a little uncomfortable now, especially on my right side which is where MW said the legs and arms are. I still panic when I don't feel anything for a little while though so I can live with the discomfort!!

theduchesse · 14/08/2011 13:02

I'm very proud of the baby today for kicking DP in the ear when he rested his head on my belly. Good to see he's sharing the love/pain around! :-)

I'm also in love with my stroller but a bit concerned it may be too big and bulky and annoying. Only time will tell I guess.

100years · 14/08/2011 13:05

I look at everyone else's buggy that goes passed me when I am out an about! I also look at other women's bumps wondering how far along they are, etc etc. Before I got pregnant and just before we actually started trying it used to upset me as it wasn't me, now it is me and I still do it, but don't get upset.

Scarlett I tried to explain to my OH what a BH felt like, the only thing I could explain it as was like when you do sit ups and you clench your stomach to where it feels tight and if you hold that position, only you aren't doing a sit up, your body is just doing it of it's own accord. Sometimes for me I'm just aware of the BH other times it's uncomfy.

100years · 14/08/2011 13:07

duchesse my LO booted my OH on the arm this morning when he rested his arm on me! :)

Thankfully I have a massive boot so I reckon the buggy we have will be OK, the only time it won't be will be if we go away for a long break and have a lot of luggage, having said that I have in the past been away and managed to fit 5 people's luggage in the boot of the car, so 3 plus buggy should be OK????

candr · 14/08/2011 14:16

Seems like my hospitle is very reasonable as you get 4 pics for £5.00 and as we have to go every 3 weeks they bung us some for free every few weeks but they have all started to look a bit samey now. Am not sure if I have had BH, got period type pains over last few evenings, am 34 weeks, but tummy always feels very stretched and sore as have quite small bump and very active baby. Am starting to stress about holiday booked for 2 weeks time as feel I may be a bit of a dampner due to being so knackered. I feel like I have energy and then 5 min in to a job have to sit down which is so fustrating.

jimmijam · 14/08/2011 15:48

We have a picasso, so other than wen we go away (cant put any by kids feet cuz dd gets travel sick) we should b ok there, but as we now just have 1 car it cant b stored in boot incase dh drives it 2 work.
Candr ur brave going on hol! 4 woteva reason this time around i dont want 2 b far from home, friends wanted us 2 go camping with them, but i felt strangely homesick at the thought of it as only 3weeks left til edd. Wen ru due? B good 2 make the most of a chance 4 a quiet hol!!

CBear6 · 14/08/2011 18:44

I will never again wonder where my BH's have gone. I honestly thought I was going into bloody labour in the middle of Asda because they were so strong I couldn't even push the trolley. I just need baby hiccups now and I've collected the whole set :)

jimmijam · 14/08/2011 19:12

Cbear, u should have made something of it 2 try get free shopping ;-)

CBear6 · 14/08/2011 19:46

As soon as I feel my first real contraction I'm heading to Mothercare. "I do appear to have suddenly gone into labour. What goodies have you got?" :)

jimmijam · 14/08/2011 20:14

heehee good thinking! i shall b heading to tesco :-)
