Blue, i'm sorry. And dont ever feel like there is a right way or wrong way for you to talk about this, or to feel. My thoughts are with you.

CazandBelle · 17/06/2011 23:58

blue I'm genuinely devastated for you. I will PM you after I've done this post. xxx

poppet please dont apologise for mixing up with Belle's birthday... it is easy to do. The white rabbit for Fiona sounds beautiful and just right - you cannot upset her Mummy anymore than it already it, and the fact you've remembered and acknowledged both of her daugthers will be comforting. Always remember Fiona is the advice I will give, don't be scared to mention her name.

Walk tonight was beautiful - 30 people turned up to walk in the rain for Belle, including 2 strangers connected through a work colleague but the work colleague wasn't there they still came! Me and DH are overwhelmed by the love support and kindness of everyone. Will update a sponsored walk total when I have it - take me a week to collect all the money now I expect! I know its in quite a lot of hundreds though just at a brief glance!

SnoozleDoozle · 18/06/2011 05:59

I haven't been on here for about a week, just seem to have been so busy. Have been reading through the posts for the past hour! I can't sleep, and I don't know if it is due to my general discomfort, or, more likely, the fact that I am really nervous about my 20 wk scan on Monday. I am just terrified, and dreading it.

Caz I'm so glad your walk went well, it must have been a particularly difficult week for you.

Blue , I'm so, so sorry for your loss, I felt sick when I read your post, I can't imagine how devastated you must be, my thoughts are with you too.

libranlady · 18/06/2011 06:41

Hi everyone. I'm new to all this so hope it's ok to just crash into your thread. I'm due mid November with baby no. 3. Already have a ds who's 7 and a dd who's 4. I'll live in a remote mountain village in Switzerland and have done for a couple of years but still haven't done very well with learning the lingo. Don't know anyone else who is pregnant here so excited by the possibility of making mn friends who won't mind me boring on about the adventure that is pregnancy!
The thing that is getting me at the moment is that everyone seems surprised that I have a bump at nearly 19 weeks. I've only put on about 10 pounds so far which I think is quite good but apparently the total average weight gain here is up to a stone and a half which seems very optimistic to me. I put ion nearly twice that with my second. I know I've done it twice before but still find it amazing that people will be so openly critical of your size when pregnantConfused .

Anyway, not much of a problem compared what some are having to deal with, I know but nice to vent a bit.

Hope everyone else is having a good day with the prospect of a whole weekend looming Smile

pookypup · 18/06/2011 06:49

Have just caught caught up with thread and so sorry to read about your loss blue. Thinking of you and husband this weekend x

pookypup · 18/06/2011 06:53

Welcome libran :) a remote Swiz village sounds lovely right now....

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 18/06/2011 07:19

Just popping by to say cheerio for 2 wks as I'm off on hols today. Hope things go well for everyone.

Blue my heart goes out to you. I can't think of anything to say that would help but I am thinking of you and DH and your little one.

Caz it sounds like you had a few days which were hard but positive, if that's the right phrase (probably not).

Waves to all, hi to newcomers. See you soon!

TwoJackRussellsandabean · 18/06/2011 07:26

Welcome Libran :)

cep · 18/06/2011 09:00

poppet i xposted with you yesterday, so sorry to hear about your friend's loss, so pleased to hear little Olivia is doing well.

Caz Am glad the walk went so well, and welldone on doing so well with the sponsors.

welcome libran from what i've heard the more you have the earlier the tum pops out. with my last pg i went nuts and ate everything, i put about 3-4 stone on. so far this time i've put on about 4 lbs on so far but as i'm obese anyway i can get away with not putting much on, as it is i think it's more cause we've been eating bad stuff again.

ridcully have a fantastic time.

voodoomunkee · 18/06/2011 09:44

Welcome Libran! I have a bump too. It is there morning noon and night. Am also on dc3.

MrsA have a lovely holiday.

Poppet I think that is a lovely idea and you sound like a lovely friend too.

I have nothing planned for this weekend. Not a bad thing really as have mountains of stuff going on for the next couple of months!

Scan on monday, a little nervous. Work decided to have a mini sweepstake yesterday as I am wanting to find out the colour. The men all went for big babies, women were nicer and kept the weight down slightly. I think OH thinks it is going to be a ten pounder, sheesh.

chipmonkey · 18/06/2011 09:56

Welcome Libran!
Caz, glad the walk went well.

cookie9 · 18/06/2011 11:17

Hello Libran I too have a bump. People are asking me when I am due so look pregnant not just fat! Do you have a 20 week scan there?

Have scan on Wednesday. Have decided that constant worry is part of pregnancy and being a parent. If something is outside my control then stressing about will not help. Just have to keep repeating that to myself.

Mum looking after me and hope to have codeine free day with just some at night so can sleep.

Poppet I think the rabbits are lovely idea.

Blue thinking of you and your family.

Bluetinkerbell · 18/06/2011 11:38

thanks all! I'm muddling through the day! lying on the sofa in my dressing gown... DH trying to cope and cleaning the house. I'm ranging from feeling very peaceful to crying and being angry and scared...
Thinking of all your little babies, my angel baby will surely watch over his/her November friends!

Poppet45 · 18/06/2011 12:02

Bless you Blue, I think every single combination of emotions is appropriate right now. I can't imagine having to break the news to others, especially DS, even though he's only 22 months so doesn't really get it right now, like your DD. I don't know how, but I just hope it will get easier for you. Sending you strength and kindness for tomorrow. I'm actually printing out some lovely words from SANDS for my friend that Caz was kind enough to send to me, I'll PM them to you if you like, too. Just let me know.
Libranlady Welcome!! I agree the weight gain sounds optimistic - I put on just over 2 and a bit stone with DS and was told well done by my MWs, not that it stopped him from being a 9lb whopper - and that was with cycling 10km daily and regular swimming and yoga. Now I'm a SAHM I don't have the time for any of that!! I am 18 weeks and I have a mahoosive bump already. I'm hoping it's started early but then plateaus for a good few months. Please... Blush

Poppet45 · 18/06/2011 12:04

D'oh Blue I meant 'unlike your DD' I'm sure at 2.5 she understands a lot more about your pregnancy than my DS does. Hugs xxx

Bluetinkerbell · 18/06/2011 12:04

thanks Poppet that would be very good to read!

Bluetinkerbell · 18/06/2011 12:09

hehe that made me smile :) yeah my DD is very clever (even if I say so myself Wink)
the other day, before this nightmare started, she said: 'are you gonna leave the baby home today Mummy?' I said it wasn't possible yet that I had to be born first in the hospital.
And it will be... I will just never be able to take the baby home to show my proud DD how good a big sister she will be.

BuffyFan · 18/06/2011 13:28

Oh blue my heart breaks for you. I am so sorry. I hope people in RL are being good to you and the rest of your family. I know you're worried about how to tell DD, but I'll bet she'll be worried about you too.

Caliphora · 18/06/2011 13:58

busyboysmum That was the next hospital I was hoping to go to, actually, it has some of the best statistics in the country. How are the MWs?

knockedupagain · 18/06/2011 18:29

Well, how about a bit of good news? Deemented is pregnant again! Very early days, but hopefully going to go better this time!

I've got my 20 week scan on Monday at 9.30 and am shitting myself after Blue's bad news. There seem to be a few of us on Monday. I can feel Connor moving about, so have no reason to worry... and yet stupidly I am. Not at all like me to worry pointlessly - bloody hormones!

chipmonkey · 18/06/2011 19:02

Oh that is great news about deemented!Grin

Katiebeau · 18/06/2011 19:10

Oh Blue, such kind thoughts for our babies at this awful time for you. I will be thinking of you and your husband tomorrow. Just know we are all holding your hand over cyberspace.

Great news about deemented. Fingers crossed for her this time around.

voodoomunkee · 18/06/2011 19:15

Ah thats nice news! :)

I decided on a whim to start painting the hall and stairs.... OH took over as was worried i would try to get up a ladder, ds and dd joined in, 1st coat on and it took 2 hours tops. Quite pleased with that! I only did little bits and kept the troops supplied with tea and coffee as required. Coat 2 tomorrow. I had forgotton how nice it is to have fresh paint on and not to feel like it was a massive chore! Now time to put the pj's on and snuggle up on the settee and watch Kung Fu Panda.
