HI everyone, I know it is very early but I got a very faint positve line this morning, and another at lunch, and another at tea time! Was not due AF till Thurs but was meant to be going for a proceedure that involved radiation tomorrow so needed to do checks and here I am, and there I will not be! I have already got 2 and not told OH yet but need to tell somebody! Anyone else yet?

Morning all! I think I'd like to join in ...after a week of increasingly-strong BFPs and AF more than a week late I think I can finally believe it!

I'm in France and this is DC1 so I haven't a clue what to do next...I'm hoping someone on ebay is selling their booklet things from the UK so I can check out what to do with eating/drinking etc?!

Happy Mother's Day all too!!

LauraSmurf · 03/04/2011 10:31

How fab is it to be pregnant an mothers day,!! I keep smiling inside about my perfect little secret when I see anything mothers day related!

So glad to have more and more people join!

egg just go on the HHS website. It has all the current guidelines or so I,ve been told!

Earwiggo · 03/04/2011 11:54

Hi all, hope everyone's enjoying Mothers day? I have had a nice soak in the bath and am enjoying letting DH do the running round that usually falls to me.

Marmite123 · 03/04/2011 17:00

Hi ladies, can I join? Got very faint BFP yesterday, then two more today - including the CB digital which said I'm 1-2 weeks pg. DC1 guess I'm due around mid Dec.

Really pleased as I'm 36 and had (for no good reason) convinced myself it wasn't going to happen, but also worried as was previously pg in 2005 and had to have medical termination at 12 weeks due to anencephaly. I'm taking high dose folic acid, but going to be hard waiting for first scan to see if it's ok this time.

So, have you told people yet? Last time I had terrible morning sickness so I think everyone at work's going to realise pretty soon, but not sure I want to share till I've had the scan and know if things are OK.

iknowanoldlady · 03/04/2011 18:16

Welcome marmite and egg and anyone else I missed, I've not been on today and only sitting down for two minutes whilst hub gives DS his bath.

I know what you mean marmite about being convinced it wasn't going to happem, I turn 35 in May and had convinced hub to start trying earlier than we might have on the grounds it could take a while - we got very lucky and it happened quickly. I was a wreck before my twelve week scan first time around and think I am more relaxed this time, but we shall see as time goes on!

Only hub and I know so far, we will tell family next weekend when we see them, and then probably no one else for a good while. I have a very very good friends who is about to start IVF due to serious health problems and am dreading telling her Sad even though I know she will be lovely about it - life is very unfair.

Anyway - hope everyone's had a lovely day.

Hi, I'd like to join! Not great at posting regularly though.

HarderToKidnap DC1 due 11th December.

Had been trying for seven months, was beginning to feel very down and that something was wrong. Then this month my DH and I were talking almost incessantly about what if it had worked - we just couldn't stop, it was strange. Then we were talking about IVF, almost bought a CBFM for next month and my DH started looking into getting me on his health insurance in case IVF needed etc. I then didn't get the spotting I usually get, did a test on Thurs and it was a faint pos - lines have been getting darker ever since! Have a CB digi to use tomorrow and then it's "real". I'm a midwife so a little bit of a loose end now - if I wasn't a midwife I'm sure I would be devouring all the preg books now but that's a bit redundant for me! Have ordered a "Pregnancy for Dads" book for DH instead to fulfil me need to purchase something!

I've just been trying to explain it to DP. He is worried it is all a mistake. I have had 1 very faint one and 5 definitely positives. I'm just worried about staying pregnant IYKWIM.

happytree · 04/04/2011 06:44

Congratulations HarderToKidnap. I'll try really hard not to ask too many stupid questions.
I know exactly what you mean xstitch I'm so paranoid about every twinge.
Going to see gp on Wed (also DS first birthday party!) so hopefully I can get some perspective from her.

googietheegg · 04/04/2011 07:05

Please don't be so formal! Call me googie!!

Welcome harder (or do you prefer kidnap?!)

I've finally accepted I'm pregnant this weekend, it took a few days and testing every morning for a week! It's so weird to having everything the same, but with this lovely secret. And crazy calling my mum to say 'happy mother's day' and not telling her - when do you all plan to tell people?

Iggly · 04/04/2011 07:17

Congratulations and welcome egg and marmite. Two of my fab things at the moment Grin

xstitch I was the same - faint tests before AF. they didn't get much stronger until AF had passed - I assume you'll test today?

Iggly · 04/04/2011 07:19

Great that's great googie!

I'm not telling anyone until 12 weeks. I did the same with DS but with the MC told people early so I'm paranoid about jinxing it. Although might cave and tell my best friends!

LadyOfTheManor · 04/04/2011 08:19

Ahhh fellow December carriers! Yippee! Yes I am December 1st. This is my second child (1st one is 13 months!)

sweetginger · 04/04/2011 08:39

Hi ladies. Can I join? Due 3rd December. I will add my details to the stats page. Confirmed with digital test last week but I am still in shock as although we were trying, I have DS who is 11 months. I will have my hands full!! it took 2 yrs last time, and i am 35 so we figured to start early! I am terrible at posting, but promise to check in regularly so we can share the rollercoaster ride together. Anyone else getting excited about Christmas already!?

Snowdropfairy · 04/04/2011 10:22

Yay we can be bump buddies.

Have you made an appointment with the midwife yet? I'm waiting for her to call me on Wednesday.

It was a shock finding out but i'm very excited now. Can't wait for Christmas Grin

xstitch · 04/04/2011 10:46

I'll retest today and tomorrow. The good thing is although they're not that dark they came up very quickly, within 30 sec and I didn'thave ti wait the full 5min.
