HI everyone, I know it is very early but I got a very faint positve line this morning, and another at lunch, and another at tea time! Was not due AF till Thurs but was meant to be going for a proceedure that involved radiation tomorrow so needed to do checks and here I am, and there I will not be! I have already got 2 and not told OH yet but need to tell somebody! Anyone else yet?

Hi, can I join you all? I got 4 Blush feint lines this morning.

This will be my 2nd DC and my EDD is 15th December.

BlueCrane · 14/04/2011 07:24

Hey seven I popped on yesterday to get my seat too...

Not having a good morning...slept terribly last night - wide awake from 2:30am-4ish and then I'm sure I only dozed after that...no DCs to keep me up so must've been all this on my mind or one of my first PG symptoms! So, am super shattered! DH was desperate for me to test again this morning, my feint lines have been on FR tests but I only bought Tesco's ones yesterday as I was feeling stingy and the line is super feint on that. DH was hoping for stronger lines so am a bit annoyed at myself for not buying more FRs and a bit Sad that line not stronger yet, though I know it takes time for the hcg to multiply...just wanted a strong line to show DH I guess! He moaned at me last night that I'd not actually said the words 'I am pregnant' and that I kept talking about lines on sticks...but that's what I'd been looking for IYSWIM. Hmmph just in a bit of a mood this morning and soooo tired. Sorry for rant. DH on early shift so am just stropping alone at home at the mo and needed to chat somewhere but can't talk to anyone in RL yet!

Early mornings hey? Don't worry, once your dc comes along you'll have a just of mum friends you can text first thing in the morning knowing they're up too!

Adalle that's pretty awful what happened at the clinic.

Peppermint tea and cream crackers are my breakfast of choice at the moment

BlueCrane · 14/04/2011 07:48

strawberries think I might order a digi one from amazon and use it when it arrives...not sure my hcg levels are strong enough for it just yet and I can't deal with it not picking it up so if I order one then i should be ready for it when it arrives...might get another FR today though Blush damn the cost of these tests!! The manufacturers sure know we all end up spending a fortune on them!

I also have 'stabbing' pains where my left ovary is - which is the side I ov'd from this month - is that normal?

Iggly · 14/04/2011 08:05

Blue, I'd hold off buying expensive tests just yet - my line took a while to get darker (five days?)

I think a lot of people get stabbing pains - stretching etc etc. Just keep an eye on it, I guess

Thanks iggly and strawberries will chat to the doc this morning...really ought to get myself moving though having just seen the time...I'm so tried zzzz...

iknowanoldlady · 14/04/2011 08:36

Morning, and congrats to all the new BFP-ers. blue I would second buying a digital test, for some reason it seemed more convincing when I saw 'pregnant' rather than just a line! Daft I know though.

Am feeling increasingly euch these days, went to friend's for dinner last night and ended up having to run to toilet to throw up the lovely meal she had cooked, felt rotten and rather miserable. But them's the breaks! Was woken at about 3am by DS crying and realised when I got back to bed that I felt completely fine, which was lovely. Until, sod's law, it made me worry Grin and I felt reassured when the nausea kicked in... never happy!

jomouse · 14/04/2011 09:37

Early preg scan today ladies - wish me luck!

jomouse · 14/04/2011 09:40

Oh adalle, just read your story and its pretty horrific (but shockingly funny at the same time) - what were they thinking?

Jan9ne · 14/04/2011 09:54

good luck jomouse - how many weeks are you?

I'm with those of you having trouble sleeping - up at 4 this morning - made a hot choc and read my book. Tired now - thank goodness it's easter hols!

Loads of cm - keep rushing to the loo thinking it's blood!! Anyone else had this? Think i had it with dd too.

6 weeks tomo - lost last pg just before 6 weeks. If i can get to 8 weeks i will start relaxing ever so slightly. Doc said i can have early scan as i had ectopic. Who know when that will be though - so many bank hols coming up!

adalle did you get your blood test results?

plupedantic · 14/04/2011 09:56

Good morning, all! The bus is nice and full now, isn't it?

I know what people mean about being randy; that was my first physiological response to the big line on my test! Excitement, I suppose! Grin

No morning sickness here, but terrible cramps, as though I'm about to have a period... or miscarry - that morbid thought just won't go away, as I know plenty of people who have miscarried, and even one who had a stillbirth. The threat doesn't feel real - I have faith that things will turn out well - but perhaps feel as though I have to remind myself that things can go wrong, in order to preserve the good luck I have had so far (no MCs, healthy child, no morning sickness, etc.).

Good luck, everyone, getting your appointments in before the bank holidays! I must say, xstitch, Mondays and Fridays are just about the stupidest days to have time-sensitive appointments!

I have had lots of cm to jan9ne. I keep going to check for blood too. 6 weeks on Saturday which was the stage I had my 1st MC so feeling a bit jump and didn't sleep well last night. I then need to try and stay sane until 8weeks when I had my second one.

plupedantic · 14/04/2011 11:55

Thanks for adding me to the list!

Have faith, xstitch. Have you got a busy period coming up at work, so you can work your way toward those horrible deadlines?

P.S. What is cm?

BlueCrane · 14/04/2011 12:09

hey all...had the most awful trip to the docs this morning Angry and was so upset afterwards but have pulled myself together after chatting to a close friend and to DH and now at work. I probably wouldn't have gone quite so early but had the app anyway as thought I was going to discuss my ever lengthening cycles but had a bfp instead so thought I'd get the ball rolling with them...but no...doc looked at my tests said the lines weren't dark enough and told me to test again next Thursday and come back then...she said she didn't want to waste anyone's time by filling the forms in Shock she must've seen the look of horror on my face but in a totally emotionless and steely way she just said 'see you next week then'!!! I mentioned the pain I'd had on Monday (severe cramps, couldn't walk) and stabbing pain I'd had this morning but she said as long as there was no spotting or bleeding then not to worry. My friend said to prepare myself for an emotionless ride with the docs full stop and that they are likely to say 'to expect an MC' most times you see them as that's what they did to her for DC1 and DC2 even though she'd not got any health issues. All in all not the best morning tbh! I'm going to hold off testing again until the weekend/early next week and get a digi I think.

Am trying to stay positive about it all though and just keep thinking that if the bean does stick then each day passed is one closer to 12 wk scan and December so there's no time wasted by the useless doc (apart from waiting lists for scans etc!!)

UntamedShrew · 14/04/2011 12:16

Bluecrane that is horrible! Poor you. I've never heard anything like it since Adalle's horror story, what mean doctors.

When you do your test next week, maybe get one of those that says 'pregnant' and how many weeks - I got one at Boots, it was about a fiver. It is somehow much more reassuring to see a black and white word rather than a line that can be interpreted in different ways according to its colour. And see a different doctor?

My doctor said a line was a line and they don't bother to confirm tests as the shop bought ones are so accurate.

I asked for an early scan to see if it was twins again but Doc thinks it is quite unlikely unless there is a clinical need. Nevermind my old sanity then! She was very sweet about it though.

plupedantic · 14/04/2011 12:17

Oh, no, BlueCrane, what a horrible setback! Just keep getting closer to 12 weeks in the back of your mind, and focus on getting work done before the bank holidays, then socialise, socialise, socialise....

xstitch · 14/04/2011 12:21

Shock crane that is a shocking bedside manner. I would be tempted to complain. Some Drs are shocking when I had my 1st MC it ended up with the Dr getting CPD on showing empathy and respect towards patients. Although me working in the hospital did help with it. He said to me after collapsing, haemorraghing at work (probably best place to be in the circumstances): 'Well your baby is gone or stuck in your tubes' I asked well which is it and he replied 'doesn't really matter why would you care. I managed to blurt out it matters quite a bit as he strutted out the room, I started sobbing on my bosses shoulder (poor thing) and the MW was standing there open mouthed trying frantically to find the right thing to say (again poor thing). The next time the Dr I had was lovely and took time to explain what was going on. Even though he had no good news IYSWIM.

Just remember blue a line is a line. How many weeks do you think you are? Wouldn't harm to test again anyway. Someone said Tesco tests have a high sensitivity.

plu cm is cervical mucus. Unfortunately no deadlines for me but will be busy in general with the 2 holidays coming up since I work with the NHS. Part of my work can sometimes involve dealing with women with problems in their pregnancy which doesn't always help.

xstitch · 14/04/2011 12:22

My MW said what shrew's Gp said.
