HI everyone, I know it is very early but I got a very faint positve line this morning, and another at lunch, and another at tea time! Was not due AF till Thurs but was meant to be going for a proceedure that involved radiation tomorrow so needed to do checks and here I am, and there I will not be! I have already got 2 and not told OH yet but need to tell somebody! Anyone else yet?

Snowdropfairy - DH has started to refer to ours by the size it is described as on various websites. Last week it was "full stop", this week "grain of rice", next week "half a pea"!

Snowdropfairy · 06/04/2011 16:17

Our's has become "Newbaby" Blush

xstitch · 06/04/2011 16:40

Its lumpy here [blushy]. DD was beany.

Is anyone else getting hot flushes? Tiredness has hit me really badly today. The lady in the shop just asked me if I'm OK Blush.

LauraSmurf · 06/04/2011 17:11

Bump or squiggle here !! Odd I know, but hey!!

LoveACuppaTea · 06/04/2011 18:07

Earwiggo, BeeMyBaby - the job doesn't start for a while. So at the end of the 6 months they need, I would be due. For my previous 2 kids I worked until the day before I gave birth so it doesn't bother me, but I feel like if I say something this early and then something goes wrong with the pregnancy (I hope not), I will massively regret losing out on the opportunity. And if I don't say something when I already know I feel like I'm deceiving them....
I'm thinking of accepting the job, if offered, and then phoning up when I'm 6-7 weeks pregnant and letting them know. That gives them enough time to find someone else if it doesn't suit them. But I'm a terrible liar and will squirm my way through the interview knowing there's something I'm not telling them....

LondonGirly · 06/04/2011 18:18

Welcome loveacuppa and congratulations!

Poppy has kinda stuck for us at the moment, just because that was the size of the bean at 4 weeks.

xstitch tiredness really hit for me, had to go have a nap when I got in from work. The nausea is getting worse but no toilet hugging yet.

LondonGirly · 06/04/2011 18:21

Just realised I should have added the word seed! The size of a poppy seed! A poppy would impressive at this point!

kat2504 · 06/04/2011 19:00

Mizza ithink you should go for it and definitely do not tell them! Otherwise you will never get a job. Women do not have to inform their employer till the 25th week, this is to stop you being discriminated against. If you get the job, you will be entitled to claim maternity allowance of £100 a week for nine months afterwards! It surely can't be the end of the world if you leave two weeks early.
You can always pretend you didn't find out till you were 8 weeks.

Welcome lovecuppa and anyone else I missed, just skimming through posts as I should really go and face the mayhem DS created before he went to bed. Symptoms starting properly today... had to stop in town and buy a bag of salty crisps to stop nausea. Bugger! Hope everyone has had a good day though.

UntamedShrew · 06/04/2011 20:19

hello! I am due 7 December apparently. Excited :)

I already have 2 year old twin boys and I'm hoping there is just one in there this time! I might also do an early scan, those of you doing them?

Mizz I have a predicament very similar to yours - really similar in fact. I have just agreed to go and work with an ex colleague in her own business, was planning to resign today and only did test 'to rule it out'.

Now not sure if I should tell her (she is also a friend, and it would be just 2 of us working together)

Or not tell her and go anyway. But realistically I would only be there say July-Nov max.

Or stay where I am?

Makes no odds for maternity cover as I freelance so would be statutory anyway.

Anyway. Hello!

UntamedShrew · 06/04/2011 20:57

Oh and last time I had hyeremesis (sick 20 times a day, hospital, horrible) and had boys. Luckily it stopped at 21 weeks.

This time I just don't feel pregnant at all, but after last time I am enjoying that while it lasts :)

FleeBee · 06/04/2011 20:58

Hi ladies, hope all doing OK?

I've been quite sick today which is horrible in one way, but kind of reassuring in another way. I've been bursting into tears loads as well the last 2 days which is quite annoying and embarrassing.

I've got my parents coming to stay for the weekend, my dad is helping DH do some stuff in the garden. DH has sworn me to secrecy, but not sure if I'll keep up the pretense for a full weekend - especially if I'm off throwing up.

Has anyone else spilled the beans yet, I'm just rubbish it's bursting out but have to keep myself in check.
Lizkin I've got 16 months between DC1 & 2. I hear "you must have your hands full". About 210 times a day. I feel like saying "Yes, and you should see my womb". But that would be a bit odd.

BeeMyBaby · 06/04/2011 21:39

Mizza Personally then I think take the job, if you can do most of the time then that shouldn't be too bad, I'm sure they can manage with a two week interval when no ones covering or whatnot. I'm actually currently waiting for my contract to be increased and not telling until it is - I have been on a one year contract since 2008 at this place (they just keep extending it by a year) so I'm slightly numb to their feelings now.

Snowdropfairy · 07/04/2011 07:59

I have just added myself to the December 2011 stat thread - there are lots due in December Grin

Congrats to everyone.

Vix1980 · 07/04/2011 09:44

Vix1980 · 07/04/2011 09:52

Mizza76 - Sorry hope you dont mind me being nosey but im in the same kind of situation as you, ive got an interview next tues for sales asst position, im so bad at lying i know ill end up giving something away but just dont think i can face the thought of getting the job, then having to go in the 1st week to tell them im pregnant, im sure they wont believe me if i say i didnt know, but just keep looking at the cost of baby things and panicking that i cant afford them without the job!! if only it had come a few months ago!! x

LoveACuppaTea · 07/04/2011 10:03

i cannot for the life of me think of boy names!!! I just cant find one that seems to click!

Vix1980 · 07/04/2011 10:25

ThunderboltKid - Yes it my first, im sure im turning into a pregnancy bore already and its only 5 weeks, every night when my bf comes home hes greeted at the door by me telling him whats growing in the baby today! i know sad!

I dont have any morning sickness either, although i do have extreme hot and cold flushes, i thought i was just coming down with something though, didnt realise that was a symptom, and really bad insomnia too, but thats it! im sure im lucky not to have anything else but want something just to make me believe its not all in my head!

IllanaN · 07/04/2011 10:53

Hi can i join?

I am 6 weeks due 2nd December.

1st baby for me and petrified :( Keep imagining all these awful things. Don't really believe it yet don't think i would at all if it wasn't for the horrible nausea i keep having and i am so exhausted :(

toomuchpizza · 07/04/2011 10:58

Hello again and congratulations to everyone new.

I'm still here but everyone in the house has D&V so I'm up to my eyes in washing and spew. It's not been a nice few days and now DH has it and is feeling very sorry for himself.

DH has finally got used to me being pregnant. I knew he would - it was just a bit of a shock. I've not got much in the way of symptoms yet - just a funyy taste in mouth, slightly tingly breasts, tiredness and massive bloat! And also some cramping and pulling sensations in my abdomen. I've felt a bit sick and was sick once yesterday but am not sure if it is the bug everyone else has or MS.

I'll not be around much till everyone here is better.
