afternoon ladies, hope as it's quiet everyone is ok. have been absolutely starving today. Dh is out tonight so am going to treat ds and myself to a meal at the local hungry horse.

TerrysNo2 · 06/04/2011 15:08

Hi cep I am ok, lovely beautiful weather here and my last day in the office before a 4 day weekend!

Getting some sharp stabbing pains in my right hand side of my abdomen - anyone else getting this?

OP posts:
Collie2 · 06/04/2011 15:55

cep im hungry all the time these days. DH commented on my eating habbits last night as I was tucking into a blueberry muffin!! Not impressed!

Ms kicked in yesterday, felt truely awful all morning today. My car journey seems to set it off - it's an hour to work- dry wretching all the way here and then finally threw up my breakie! Yuck! I should be Smile I know as I've been moaning worrying I've not had it but it sucks! Got tender boobs too now, so am taking it all as a good sign. So I'll probably spend the next few weeks complaining I feel sick, and then worrying when it stops Grin

Also, falling asleep at my desk.

Have mw apt tomoz, to arrange booking in apt so going to work from home.

Dinner out sounds like a treat, enjoy! You feeling less sickly still then?

terry I've had all sorts of pains including stabbing in the right side of abdomen and pelvix. But I've had scan on Monday and all ok. I think it's probably nothing to worry about, growing pains etc, but if they carry on and you're worried I'd see your gp for some reassurance.

Woodifer · 06/04/2011 16:16

terry i got some really sharp pains on left side

went for private early scan today and saw the bean - it was waving its hands and legs, and its heart was beating, and you could see blood moving in the cord (so relieved - though i know nothings certain)

it bumped me forwards a few days to 9+2

anyway the guy says - there's your left ovary, you can see it's got a cyst on - i said it twinges sometimes is that normal - and he said yes it's usual as it's where the egg was released and it stays there a while producing hormones helping you keep your pregnancy - so it could be your right ovary??

WuzzAndBuddy · 06/04/2011 17:28

Afternoon all!
And what a lovely afternoon its been!
After finally getting my backside into gear DS and I walked to town via work, DS wanted to see one of the women I work with cos she gives him biscuits, then turned onto the long walk and up to the castle. Walked down a back street by the castle that I've never been down but been meaning to for a couple of years now! It wasn't that interesting... just a different view of the castle!
Then we walked back in the lovely sunshine and bumped into a couple of friends along the way.

Just had lasagne, chips and salad for dinner, was very nice, I thought I wasn't going to be able to eat it at first as the smell of it was making me feel sick but once I started I couldn't stop!

Still feeling really nauseous, but still not been sick... not sure whats best!
I'm assuming if I was sick I would still feel rubbish afterwards?
Not like normal sickness where you feel better afterwards!?
I've never been sick during pregnancy, don't think I've ever felt this bad though....

I keep getting sharp pains on one side or the other, but for me, it feels like its in my muscle...

alicat10 · 06/04/2011 18:37

piply so sorry to hear your news

Got my scan appt for a week on Monday - hurrah can't wait (though equally quite terrified in case not good news) - I'll be 10+6 so good timing I think and a week before Oscar so I'll know dates are def ok for that. Also found out they had me as low risk so I asked why and they said oh no that's a mistake so I have to go back for separate Consultant appt on 7th May - she asked if I'd like to move my scan to then too but I said no thanks!!

I am eating all the time - feel tiny bit nauseous and fainty first thing and then move onto starving all day. Saw myself in lift mirror today and I look preggers for sure - bit of a worry, hopefully long wafty cardigan disguises it well enough for everyone at work though a few cheeky people have asked - I am assuming that is because I am sitting between 2 PG ladies - 1 24 weeks, 1 29 weeks so lots of jokes about that

goldmaple · 06/04/2011 18:40

pip so sorry to hear your news. Will keep my FX anyways but I do agree that you know your bodies best.

wuzzandbuddy I feel nauseous a lot but have only been sick a couple times... and I noticed too that after being sick I still felt bad! Which doesn't seem fair. sick = relief

terrys I did get some weird stabbing pains about a week ago that lasted for a few days but I had been googling ectopic pg and the only thing that stop me from stressing was that the stabbing pain changed sides.

I seem to be following a ms cycle: really sick for 3-4 days, then feel moderate for 3-4 days (its happened twice now so I'm assuming that it's when my hormones surge?) trying to enjoy these 'okay' feeling days and Hoping against reason that ms is all done now:)

Anyone started shopping yet? I think I might look for looser tops today because mine are on the tighter side and on a bloated day make me look really fat.

bumpandisaacsmum · 06/04/2011 19:01

Terrys I mentioned to my GP and MW re: pains, not been constant but every now and then (not often) but really painful. They both said that as long as it wasn't accompanied by bleeding it likely to be just where things are changing as baby & sac grow. Was advised though to go back if worried!!

wuzz I have found that actually being sick makes no difference to the nausea :( might be worth eating small amounts often as nausea can be worse on empty stomach - have found this to be the case during the day so I don't really have a lunch but graze on what would be my lunch over a few hours!!

Had a great day in the sunshine... though really shattered though as not had chance to have a nap :(

But have still got to go shopping for food supplies and start cake making for my nephew's Christening.... liklihood of doing one let alone both this evening Hmm

Pipsbump · 06/04/2011 19:28

Hey Ladies,

Just wanted to jump on and say hello to everyone.

Piply I'm so sorry, I know there is nothing that I can say to make it better but I'm thinking of you. Take care of yourself.

CepI'm glad that everything went well yesterday.

To all the other ladies

I have just been keeping myself busy. I have calmed down slightly since I freaked out at the weekend. Not long until my scan and consultant appointment, although truth be told I'm terrified of having the scan.

My boobs aren't as sore anymore and I don't have the nauseous feeling but I am trying to tell myself that this is because I am now almost 10 weeks (woohoo).

Anyway, just wanted to say hello and lets hope this weather continues (although being in work is a bit of a pain!).

knockedupagain · 06/04/2011 19:57

pip Sad to hear your news. I hope you have another chance soon with a happy ending.

And yay to all the good scans since I've last been on!

Well I had a lovely Mother's Day. I think there are definite advantages to having older children, and no feckless DP! I hadn't been expecting much in the way of gifts, as I'd had some serious presents for my birthday just a couple of weeks ago (a crystal bracelet from the older two, and an ipod nano with built in podometer from the younger two!). But I did well, with chocolates, a top, lovely soap, and two dvds of films I'd moaned about missing in the cinema. I got orange juice and hot chocolate in bed. Then they made me poached egg on toast which I suppose I shouldn't have eaten, but did no harm. My younger daughter cooked me a specially requested Hairy Biker's Somerset Chicken (yum!)for dinner, then we watched one of my dvds, 'Made in Dagenham' in the evening. I have such lovely children (well... they do have their moments, but mostly lovely children!). They're being very protective of me, and they really made the effort to buy me well thought out presents. No wonder I think it's a good idea to do it all again... tho this one is probably a future axe murderer!

Poppet45 · 06/04/2011 20:18

Pip, so sorry to hear your news. Take care xx

Knockedupagain - hmmm Hairy Biker's Somerset Chicken is lovely!!!
My nausea's subsided the last couple of days here, but the twinges are in full swing. I remember them from last time, and my boobs are still utter agony every time DS feeds so I'm feeling reasonably non paranoid. Reasonably.

Am eating far too much, I bought a two for one deal on raspberry and toffee sundaes at Tesco and ate both today. Not the plan.

LittleWhiteWolf · 06/04/2011 20:30

I'm so sorry to hear that Piply Sad

I feel like a right whinger in comparison, but I went for my midwfe booking scan on Tuesday. Waited for 40 flipping minutes along with a woman who'd been waiting an hour before I arrived. When we questioned this, they rang the mw who'd apparently cancelled her clinic and neglected to tell the surgery Hmm Their alternative in the circs was to take our numbers and get her to ring us. So I gave my work number as I had to go back, but once I got there I panicked and worried she wouldn't ring, so I rang them and made up a story about being dragged to meetings so they would give me a new appt. Earliest they could (grudgingly do) was for April the 26th. So I'll be 11 1/2 weeks for my 8 week appt, but at least its a week before my scan is booked. I would hate to go for that without any paperwork.

Because I had an early mc in Jan, I was quite looking forward to actually having an appt and getting my blue folder. I feel quite unnerved that it got cancelled. I know I'm worrying unneccesarily, but I am worrying Sad I wish we had the spare cash for a private scan just to put my mind at rest, but we dont so we'll just have to wait for a month and see.

LittleWhiteWolf · 06/04/2011 20:30

Oh and the midwife never did ring.

BuffyFan · 06/04/2011 21:32

Hello ladies can I join you? I've been lurking for a while but it's not healthy as I'm just getting more and more paranoid - must step away from Dr Google too!

I'm 7+2 and still swinging between symptoms and no symptoms, rushes of excitement and nagging feeling that all is not right. First MW appt is on Monday, and I know I just need to ask her every question in my head.

DH is being very sweet - bought me a blueberry yogurt last week (because the book said in week 7 bean is blueberry sized) and a raspberry one this week...

Well, off to bed, but nice to meet you all Smile
