Morning all

laabama and clipclop I am keeping my FX for you both today. I hope you have scans which show all is well. xxx

I have a scan on Friday and am nervous and excited. It seems like a lifetime away!

Bleeding stopped overnight. Slept fitfully, waking up to check the knickers :)

Had the scan, all good, though baby slightly smaller than dates (but my dr didn't seem concerned and I did push this time, as I always leave with unanswered questions. Heartrate apparently also good... However, I have been advised to stay off work for 7 days!!! Apparently it is standard protocol here in Greece...
I'm in two minds. What does MN think? Am I a fool not to listen to my doctor? I just wasn't going to tell work until much later, but need a doctor's note for absence of more than 2 days...

escapeartist · 29/03/2011 10:33

Sorry for completely self obsessed post.

laabama and clipclop fingers crossed!

Terryno2 Friday will be here quickly! (I'm hoping for all our sake's)

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 29/03/2011 10:40

escape will the doctor give you a note for the 7 days? I'd be inclined to take it if they will.
And as I'm a nosey cow, what is it that you do? You live in greece right? Ooh, do you speak the language and do you go to work in shorts? :)

Oops...

Am very very glad your bean is OK

MooseyMoo · 29/03/2011 10:46

escape That's great news - well not about the fitful sleep but that baby is ok.

Fingers crossed for laalama and clipclop

I can proudly step forward and say it was me who recommended the fruit in syrup. I'm glad it's working for other people. When I had my nuchal scan with DD I had blood taken and they also check your weight. She looked v puzzled and asked if I had been sick as I had lost weight since my midwife check up. I was v embarrased to admit that I had been suffering with constipation and that morning I had been able to poo Blush. She recommended fruit in syrup.

Well bean is officially real. Saw the midwife yesterday and I have my lovely blue folder (ah how I haven't missed you!). Forgot to take a bag so walked around in centre of town waiting for my lift hoping I wouldn't see any other mums and notice the book!

Oh, must go off to Baby college with DD and she hasn't woken up from nap yet...

Mrs A, I am a teacher at an International School. Yes, I do speak the language, and no, I don't normally go to work in shorts, though in summer it is skirt and sandals :)

The Gynae has given me a note for the 7 days, but I didn't want to tell them... so was thinking of asking another doctor to write me a note for something else. In the end DH convinced me to stop being weird and just tell them (or rather he will go tell them, we work together)...

cep · 29/03/2011 11:22

morning all.

dee i managed to get some sleep last night, i woke up at 5:15 and ot was dh' snoring that kept me awake then. grrr. i really think it was only because he'd been awak from 3:30 that morning that he slept so well last night though. Plus he was a little sod actually going to bed.

mrsa love the shorts question Grin

escape glad the scan went well.

cep · 29/03/2011 11:23

laabama · 29/03/2011 11:51

Morning all. Well, been for scan and unfortunately I have had a complete mc. Have to go for a follow-up blood test on Thurs but that's me out of the Nov club. V, v, v :( but there's nothing I can do about it except cry and 'deal' with it.

I wish you all the very best of luck for the next 7 months or so and hope that you all have beautiful little babies to cuddle. I may pop up every so often to check up on you all! :)

I hope the rest of you who have scans today get better results.

Lots love to you lovely ladies!

Oh Laa I am so, so sorry. I hope you're being looked after (((Hugs)))

bumpsnowjustplump · 29/03/2011 13:49

So sorry Laabama. Thinking of you..

Things not going very well here either. On Sunday I had really bad tummy cramps, so bad I couldn't sleep. Monday morning I had thick brown Jelly. It started out constantly then just when I went to the toilet.

Went to GP who said that it wasn't good but wasnt' necessarily the end. He was very good actually and talked me through everything that could happen. have a scan booked for Friday (this will give it time to either happen or not). Discharge has stopped but still got really bad cramps so dont know what to think. Have had no blood yet so I am kind of hopeful.. Got to rest lots so dp is doing most of the house work after he finishes work.. not ideal but what can you do...

please can you all keep your fingers crossed for me on friday. I wont be on before then as my head is all over the place and want to try and keep my feet on the ground but i will check in as soon as we are home to let you know how it goes...

dirgeinvegas · 29/03/2011 14:25
rightontime · 29/03/2011 14:26

Sorry to hear that laabama Can only echo what has been said. Make sure you get lots of support in RL.

Its nearly half 2 so clipclop you are probably waiting for your scan. Fx for you.

And bumpsnow you will be in my thoughts on friday. Will have FX for you too.

Escape I would take the 7 days off. Can you ask for a note that gives a vague reason but is a bit discreet so work wont guess? If not I would just tell them if I were you.

Hope everyone else is ok. I haven't posted for a while so I am sorry if I have missed anyone else having a tough time.

cep · 29/03/2011 14:42

laabama so sorry for your loss. if you need somewhere to chat there's here the ladies are lovely.

bumpsnow ((((hugs)))) fx for friday

TerrysNo2 · 29/03/2011 14:42

bumpsnow will be keeping my FX for Friday's scan. What time is it? Mine is at 1.30.

clipclop thinking of you right now!
