lol missp I can only wish that 2 stone was all I put on! I was a healthy 10 1/2 stone pre pregnancy and I'm now around 15st! Not dared step on the scales for a few weeks! I was huuuuge with my first too! I just adore food whilst pregnant, not so much when I'm not so just making the most of it!
Impending birth is scaring me a bit now...had horrendous time with DS so hoping this one will be easier! Only allowed gas and air at home so hopefully will manage ok!
I can't believe my gorgeous DS is gonna be 3 in a few weeks! They grow up too quick...I'm definitely going to embrace every single moment with this one coz u never get it back!
Do I have to have health visitor coming round? I want them nowhere near me this time but don't wanna get in trouble!

QwertyQueen · 29/03/2011 11:25

hi all....
funny, I have been avoiding mumsnet as not wanting to moan but I see you all are!!! ;)
I guess it is true that the 2nd trimester is the best?
I also wake up a few times for the loo....
have so much stress in my life that I feel more or less constantly nauseous.
The only good thing is I have put on very little weight (half a stone) - although baby is growing well - maybe I drank wayyy to much wine before!
I put on a lot with DS so am pleased to not be this time round.
Sciatica seems to have subsided again but back pains appearing - whinge whinge whinge!
Bump has been doing some impressive movements although I think she is currently back to back - how DS was. Oh dear.
I will have another scan next week so will discuss with the doctor.

32 weeks this week.... seems like the next 8 weeks are going to be very s-l-o-w!

I tore with DD and was left needing 3 lots of surgery to repair poorly stitched tear. Also sustained nerve damage to my bum which left me not being able to hold wind!! Horrendous at the time and dont want to go through that again so cons agreed to ELCS...thankfully!

Hi everyone- haven't been on MN for ages! Hope you are all ok- will try and pop on more regularly as we could start getting some birth announcements soon I guess Grin
Will come back later for a proper catch up x

cowboylover · 29/03/2011 16:24

Shock at washing the car! I keep thinking its going to be when DH is doing something 'crucial' on the Xbox or something and see how long it takes to get his attention.

Getting very over excied now at the transformation of the nursery, its nearly green! I dont know how they do it on 60 min makeover as its been 5 hours so far

Jellyrollgumdrop · 29/03/2011 16:37

yeah then he HAD to have a shower b4 we left! I tell you MEN!!!! Cowboylover the 60min makeover they do probably only lasts 60mins!! your paint job should last longer than that! Have you never seen how messy the finishes are, paint on light switches, papering over existing paper etc???? youll be glad you spent longer Wink

jbells · 29/03/2011 16:56

Lol at washing the car and having a showe jelly

i had midwife yest all ok and little man is oblique at thd moment which was wot i though

runningmonkey · 29/03/2011 16:56

Hiya jelly welcome to the thread. I just love how men seem to have their own sense of time and what is important in life Hmm

Was just about to say the same thing re 60 min makeover cowboy. I made my DH watch when he had a day off once and he was properly outraged! He is such a perfectionist when it comes to all things diy based :) My favourite ever episode was one where they were doing the big reveal and you could actually see paper peeling off the wall in the background!! I do love watching it though :o

Hiya omnom

Found the last OBEM v hard to watch. Was very emotional but so glad all of them were ok in the end.

linzi I am another who will be much firmer with HVs this time. There are a couple of lovely ones in our local team but the one I saw first off with DD was not. I shall leave it there for fear of ranting :)

qwerty yes you are not alone. I hope the stress/nausea alleviates soon - do come here to vent if you need to.

runningmonkey · 29/03/2011 16:58

Oh yeah cowboy I think the average is about 1/2lb gain from now until term. I was also estimated at 5lb which based on that gives me about an 8lber which isn't too bad (presuming the 1/2lb is all baby of course!!)

At sweep with DD on a Friday I was told she was "prob 6lb".... ff to the Sunday & DD made her appearance, after DHs carwash & shower, a whopping 8lb9oz!....BIG difference I think!! LOL!

Jellyrollgumdrop · 29/03/2011 18:29

ilovemydog sounds like SPD, go to Dr & request physio. Ive got it & its no jokeSad they can give you a belt or crutches or both....HTH

sesamesmith · 29/03/2011 20:32

Loopy: Her head was off the scale but I am sure it will be fine and if I didnt have so many scans I would not know about it and shes got to come out somehow. I am excited to see now!

That sounds like some great hair! When my mum 1st moved out my dad put the clippers on me the same as his own as couldnt cope with my constant crying having my hair cut so I promice I will try harder with our little girl.

The 2 coats of undercoat stuff are on 1st coat of green paint is on so fingers crossed but I am being brave and going for it with a roller tomorrow to see if I can get a better finish.

Pistachio: if it felt good I bet it was, I hope they can do the same for me soon Smile

runningmonkey · 30/03/2011 04:14

Anyone else awake? Have been since midnight. Supposed to be working later but am sitting trying to think of things to email in for my classes to do as I don't think I'm going to be capable. I just want some sleep! :(
