lovemybabyboy we have the same scan date! 11th of April!

I can imagine how you are feeling as I had a very similar experience to yours - had a MMC in Nov and found out at an early scan (I was about 8 weeks). It was my first pregnancy, I had not been expecting that at all and even went alone (!) thinking it's just a routine check (I had some pain a few days earlier but no bleeding etc) so I was shattered when I found out :(

I am now 9+5 and still feeling anxious! I had a scan on Tuesday privately as I just couldn't bear waiting 12 weeks and it was a relief to see that everything is OK - I'm telling you it was so emotional I cried my eyes out.

I know it's difficult but try to not think about it too much (ha! easier said than done!) and if you are finding it upsetting go get a private scan - honestly, it is worth the peace of mind :)

Keeping my fingers crossed for you! xxxxx

Bluetinkerbell · 24/03/2011 14:12

mumtobee I still haven't got my scan date either... very annoying... I will ring the hospital tomorrow if it hasn't arrived by then and if I'm not in the system I will book one myself...

purpletoes so sorry for you! take care of yourself! x

apples82 · 24/03/2011 14:18

purpletoes very sorry to hear your news. I'm sure you'll be back aboard a bus soon. Rest up now.

mpops 3 weeks later is taking the piss (HA HA HA) a bit! Grin

kateepie2 · 24/03/2011 14:23

Swap you mpops! mine has been leaving messages about me doing another blood test for blood group, despite having had a conversation at booking appt where I said I was a donor, and what my group is... leaving a message at the MW office and then email docs surgery and talking to the people at the EPU. A lot of fuss over nothing (I'm O+).

Hope it gets sorted soon.

Big hug to you purpletoes xx

dribbleface · 24/03/2011 14:43

purpletoes - i'm so so sorry to hear you news.

Lovemybabyboy - it must be hard to stay positive. I think your mum is right, there is every reason to think all will be well this time

dribbleface · 24/03/2011 14:45

All fine with scan, due date pushed to 4th so not further along than i thought (guess i'm just a porker then!)

soundofherwings · 24/03/2011 14:57

purpletoes- hugs, look after yourself.

Had my scan today and booking today (at almost 13 weeks, our hospital is SLOW!)- due date moved to 30th September but hopefully you won't kick me off the bus! I don't fancy getting on a new one.

Baby was wriggling about so much, being awkward for the measurements! I couldn't stop grinning but my husband nearly cried, bless him. :-) It's all starting to feel real now, we're going to do a bit of baby shopping at the weekend.

Beesok · 24/03/2011 15:10

dribbleface glad to hear it went well! ;)

apples82 · 24/03/2011 15:13

Well done soundofherwings, sounds like a lovely scan Smile

dribbleface · 24/03/2011 15:26

soundofherwings - ahhh! My little bubba was asleep, que me panicking saying its not moving, sonographer laughed, erm he's asleep! DS was boucing about at my 12 week scan so it was odd!

purpletoes and gimmegimme I am so sorry to hear about your bad news. I really am.

dribbleface this is my first and I'm looking much bigger than I should as well! At the moment I just look rotund and barrel shaped rather than pregnant so look forward to my growing stomach getting baby shaped.

BB2 · 25/03/2011 08:37

purpletoes, gimmegimme I'm so sorry xx

BB2 · 25/03/2011 08:41

Anyone else still feeling rough? I am past the 12 week date and was sick constantly yesterday and again this morning. Yuk, Yuk, Yuk... While I know it is a good sign, it's really draining now!!

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine x

lovemylittlebean · 25/03/2011 09:59

dannid · 25/03/2011 10:21

gimme an purpletoes I am so sorry to hear your news...sending you lots of love and hugs xxxx

I haven't posted in a while myself as we had a scare a few weeks back and was taken into hospital as they thought my pg might be eptopic. Wanted to wait to make sure eveything was ok. To cut a long story short we have now had two early scans and everything appears to be ok...have seen heartbeat and the bleed on the first scan seems to have gone. They said my due date was the same as what I thought it should be (30th Oct) so am just now keeping my fingers crossed for everything to go ok at my 12 wk scan (am just waiting to get a date for it)

Have still been feeling really sick constantly (although only actually been sick once!) so am hoping this is a good sign too! Had my booking in appt this week and tbh it was a complete waste of time...my midwife is off on long term sick at the mo (she was off sick 3 yrs ago when i had ds too!!!) so I was given another midwife and I really got the feeling she couldn't be bothered. Not sure if my midwife will be back or if i will just get palmed off onto someone else which is what happened last time...meant I never saw the same midwife more than twice and really didnt want that to happen again! Angry

Have just had the lovely news that two of my close friends are also expecting...we are all due within 14 days of each other!! Is really nice to have others going through the same thing at pretty much the same time. Am also pleased that I will have someone to share maternity leave with this time!! :)

Hope everyone else is doing well?
xxx

lovemybabyboy · 25/03/2011 11:44

gimmegimme so sorry to hear your bad news, take care of yourself.

beesok thanks for trying to reassure me, I am trying not to think about it too much, but its hard not too! I have looked into having a private early scan, and would love to but DH doesnt want us too! he thinks its too much money, which it is but i wouldnt suggest it if i thought we couldnt afford it! he just doesnt understand why i cant wait for the 12 week scan, its 2 weeks 3 days, which sounds like nothing to him but feels like a life time to me! I dont want to go on my own, so would only go if he wanted to go too.
I suppose I will just have to wait.

Hope everyone else is doing ok. Smile

Bluetinkerbell · 25/03/2011 12:58

gimmegimme sorry to hear! take care of yourself!

I got my scan appointment letter today! in a weeks time I will finally be able to see my little bean Wink according to my calculations I will be 12 weeks on the dot...
they do charge 5! pounds for a picture, which to be honest, I find a lot of money for some printed pics... but well can't not have a pic so will have to cough up Wink
so excited... might need a countdown calendar somewhere...
anyone else taking their DC to the scan?

Beesok · 25/03/2011 13:51

lovemybabyboy I guess it's normal for guys, my hubby also believed it will be OK and point worrying/thinking about it - well, honestly I don't know how they do it.

I was lucky because my scan was part of a follow up appt (long story but my insurance covered my ERPC etc.) BUT having said that I would rather skimp on a couple of things and get it done :) Then again, it is 2 weeks - don't worry it will pass quicker than you think, is there anything else you could focus on in the meantime? I found it helped when I kept myself busy and pls DO NOT GOOGLE ;))))))))))))

It will be OK - I hope that you will get to see your little bean very soon :)

seasaltbaby · 25/03/2011 17:01

Oh purpletoes and gimme I'm so sorry to hear your news, really sad for u and hope u both get another bfp soon xx

I had my booking appointment yesterday which went v well actually, mw is lovely. I was thrown though because the very first thing I had to do was decide which hospital to have the baby in, I have no idea! She couldn't really help us either so effectively based our decision on something random. If I'd have known I would have done my research & some thinking!
I also had no idea about the process of the nuchal testing & was bit shocked (can u tell I'm a newbie!) especially if u come back with a high risk result. She talked through our options & consequently decided to get scan done privately quicker. So now I've got scan booked in for 14th April, day before I hit the 12 wk mark & hopefully tell our parents the good news....I'm now excited but v scared too, what if there's no baby & its all been in my head! I hope these r normal anxieties! Was such a lot to take in, heads still spinning!
Still 9 wks today, hurrah!
