Am I the first? I can't see another November thread.

Ok, my stats, I am 32, have 1 dd (2.1) and edd is 03/11/2011.

I had a mc at Christmas but feel ok about this pregnancy, though I only found out 3 days ago so I may get a bit more panicked as time passes.

Anyone else want to join me in a November baby thread?

welcome goldmaple congratulations.

chipmonkey · 07/03/2011 17:06

Dirge, I remember being booked in for a scan when I was not pregnant. It was hell on earth. I was there on time, had drunk LOADS of water and then they were late bringing me in. I was bursting to go to the loo! On top of that the toilets in the fetal assessment room were broken and I had to go down 2 flights of stairs to get to the loo.

After that the radiographer told me that I didn't have to have quite such a full bladder and should have should kept sipping water before the scan.Hmm

Welcome, goldmaple! All sounds normal! Enjoy your pregnancy!

goldmaple · 07/03/2011 17:50

Thanks everyone!

terrysNo2 I recongise your name as well. I was on quite a few buses but it got to be too much every month. Really happy its finally happened but worried as its just so early!

freeangel · 07/03/2011 17:56

wishing you all the best for your scan results tomorrow dirge Im having a rubbish day, my tummy feels all weird and tender (has been tender for a while now), it hurts and i have cramps. Which i have had from the start but today they feel worse. I have the doctors on wednesday but i think i will try to get an appointment tmrw now. Now tressing im just over it all, i have no spotting but feel crappy. Sad

cep · 07/03/2011 18:03

free sorry you're having a bad day. i've been having pains as well. i had a really strong cramp earlier. i find my stomach tends to hurt when i need to pee as well no blood either. good luck on wednesday.let us know if you manage to see the dr tomorrow.

freeangel · 07/03/2011 19:11

Oh thats not good either! Apparantly it could be our uteruses stretching! Thank you, will let you know how i get on! Hope your pains go! x

cep · 07/03/2011 19:29

it can give pain thanks to hormones, i just never remember what it's like at this stage, which annoying.

knockedupagain · 07/03/2011 20:13

Congrats goldmaple. Sorry you've had such a crap day freeangel - hope you feel better tomorrow! cep Sorry, I forgot to answer your question - My kids are taking me out to dinner on my birthday, and actually paying for it! dirge good luck with your scan tomorrow. I'm so full of Envy. I'd love a scan. I realise all they could see is the sac, but I could find out if it's one or two, and I'd love to know. I'm thinking of booking a private scan for the end of this week, and just adding 2 weeks to my dates so they'll do it. Shame for the poor sonographer who's thinking just a sac is bad news, tho!

I've developed a terrible, now daily habit with CB digi, due to this thread. Was really disappointed that it still said 2-3 this morning (probably not twins then) although I'm only 2+4 from conception. But really relieved it hasn't gone back down to 1-2. Am promising myself I'll chill if I get to 6 and a half weeks with a scan showing a heartbeat(s).

TerrysNo2 · 07/03/2011 21:24

knockedup you made me Smile when you said: Am promising myself I'll chill if I get to 6 and a half weeks with a scan showing a heartbeat(s). I've also said that to myself (have scan booked for next Tuesday) but lets see if that happens!!! (the relaxing part) Grin

Reallyusefulengine · 08/03/2011 08:39

Dirge Good luck with the scan today xxx

deemented · 08/03/2011 09:07

Good luck with the scan today, Dirge - hope it goes well for you.

I know this is going to sound very weird, but i've no inclination to have an early scan. The hpt's are saying i'm pregnant, my body is telling me i'm pregnant - through lots of nausea and sickess as well as sore boobs, and i just feel if i have an ealy scan now then i'd be taking someones place that really needs it, iyswim? I actually feel pretty chilled about the whole thing, tbh.

I wasn't always like this though.. i had two early losses before getting pregnant with triplets, then i lost one of those at ten weeks, and my boys were born at 28 weeks. Then with dd i worried constantly from getting the +hpt. By the time DS3 came along i was a bit more relaxed, and now i'm just celebrating that every day that passes means i'm a little more pregnant, iyswim?

I have a feeling that this time there may be more than one as well - i dunno, nothing specific, but i haven't been this sick this early on before - except with the triplets - and i'm a little worried and scared tbh!!

DirgeInVegas · 08/03/2011 09:10

thanks reallyuseful! I am so nervous. Sipping my second pint of water Smile.

My step-mum has taken the day off to come with me which is a huge relief. I think I am 5+5 - what do you think they will be able to see? Or not see? I think I might start a thread - though I'm cutting it fine. Leaving in 5...

How are you reallyuseful? xx

Hello everyone.

Have had a hell of a weekend. DS has been poorly for ages but just thought it was a cold. Then this weekend he really deteriorated, hasn't eaten for 4 days. Crying all the time, temp out of control, and got quiet violent to everyone.

Have been to the gp and he has chest infection, ear infection in both ears and a nasty bout of conjunctivitus just to top it off. I should have taken him earlier not just left it... my poor baby... Sad

Counting down the days till my scan on the 18th as still no symptoms here...

hope everyone is good xx

TerrysNo2 · 08/03/2011 09:51

goldmaple I was only on one bus (July IIRC?) - I know what you mean about it being too much, saying AF had arrived to everyone was tough. I was on the charters thread as well so one was enough for me!

bump sorry about DS - I hope he feels better soon, don't feel bad though, just provide extra cuddles now! Smile

Dirge good luck for scan!

busyboysmum · 08/03/2011 11:23

Hello everyone can I join you please?

I am 41 mum of 2 boys aged 6 and 9 - and got my BFP this morning (hooray!)

I think my due date is going to be 7th November 2011 looking at my dates from last month.

Early days of course but have already told my mum as have been shopping with her today and am rubbish at keeping secrets! She is delighted of course.

I now have to not tell anyone else which is going to be really hard as I am so pleased and bursting to - maybe I'll tell a few of my closest friends!!

It will be nice to have somewhere here to chat to people - how long will it be before I stop looking at the toilet roll after I've been for a wee expecting to see red???

cep · 08/03/2011 11:47

welcome busyboysmum congratulations. i've told a couple of people at work (boss etc) and that's it. won't tell anyone else till i have a successful (fx) 12 week scan.

dirge are you back yet?? how did it go?

Reallyusefulengine · 08/03/2011 12:47

Hello everyone and congratulations to all the new pregnant ladies who've joined - I've been really scatty and forgetting to say hello. You've got off alot lighter that my dd who I left outside the shop yesterday and forgot to put the buggy break on. She veered into the veg display. Oops.

Dirge, I'm good although totally nervous about my scan tomorrow and really hoping you'll start the thread on what can be seen at 5.5 weeks. Am thinking of you - so glad you've got someone to go with you.

Deemented It's nice to hear your POV about early scans and also to hear your lovely story and how you got your boys.

Free and Cep Sorry to hear you have cramps etc, I hope it subsides quickly.

Knockedup So amazing your children are taking you for dinner AND paying. It made me really think about how lovely it must be having teenagers!

I really wish we could all get scanned at the same time Wink. Do you think we could get a special MN rate??

Reallyusefulengine · 08/03/2011 12:48

And Bumps Love to your poorly boy, poor poppet.

cep · 08/03/2011 13:23

really i'm sorry i actually lol at your daughter going into the veg stand, i assume she was ok.

bumps sorry meant to say i hope your ds gets better soon, and don't feel guilty we're more than often made to feel like we shouldn't take them to the gp.

DirgeInVegas · 08/03/2011 13:27

Hello everyone!

Bumps I hope you're little one is feeling better now he's seen the GP. Its so easy to beat yourself up over not taking him sooner but with some things, you wonder if they're ill or just grumpy/tired/teething. If I took DD everytime she wasn't herself I'd be there every week.

So, I had my scan. They kept me waiting for an hour past my appointment - with a bladder containing approx. 2 pints of water. They first did an abdominal scan which showed the gestational sac measuring 6 weeks, she said she couldn't see anything in it but the sac itself looked good, bright line around it, good shape and I also had a cyst on my ovary which is also good (corpus luteum?).

She said I could either have a vaginal scan or come back in 2 weeks for another abdominal scan. She did warn me that a vaginal scan might not show anything extra and that might cause me more anxiety. I opted for it anyway.

So, the vaginal scan showed yolk sac which she said was a good sign, everything where it should be. Then she said "Can I see a flicker there? Let me just magnify that". So she zoomed in on this white spot and it was flickering away and she said "See that flicker Dirge, that's your baby". And I promptly burst into tears.

The sonographer said its the smallest baby she's picked up a heart beat on but it measures fine. She printed me a little picture which really looks like a dot but I love it.

I can't believe it. I was totally convinced that it was going to go the same way as the last time.

I have to go back in two weeks, fx it's still growing and flickering away Smile.

More spotting in the hospital but they said not worry unless it was heavy or clotted.

Dirge just saw your post on the PG board (yes I was kind of stalking you as I felt really anxious for you, think we needed some good news on here IYSWIM?) - so Grin for you!! Go baby!

DirgeInVegas · 08/03/2011 13:28

Thanks Terrys I can't believe it, I hope it's the start of a run of great news and great scans now.

Reallyusefulengine · 08/03/2011 13:39

Dirge That's amazing news, about bleeding time we had some on our board. That's awesome. Am hoping this spring weather hails more good news and more good looking sacs Smile.

Cep DD was absolutely fine but my DS thinks I'm a total disaster now and keeps reminding me to look after his sister Grin.
