Am I the first? I can't see another November thread.

Ok, my stats, I am 32, have 1 dd (2.1) and edd is 03/11/2011.

I had a mc at Christmas but feel ok about this pregnancy, though I only found out 3 days ago so I may get a bit more panicked as time passes.

Anyone else want to join me in a November baby thread?

MissInvincible I am so Angry for you! If an OTC pg test shows you are pg, then you are pg, there are no two ways about it! That ache also sounds worrying to me. And really, the slipshod way they are going about things, I would doubt they tested the right urine. They have probably told some other woman she is pg when she's not.

knockedout, really praying this one is actually sticking and it's just a duff test.

MissInvincible · 05/03/2011 19:31

knockedout - hoping everything turns out ok for you.

chipmonkey the GP who actually bothered to examine me was concerned enough about my ache to request a scan. The thing that is bugging me the most is that when they realised they had made a mistake (when my bloods came back) they have still refused to scan me, to hell with my history and presenting symptoms! I am going to request to speak with someone in authority at the hospital on Monday and make a formal complaint.

chipmonkey · 05/03/2011 20:08

Refusing to scan you is just beyond belief, especially when they know they have made a mistake. I find that unbelievable.

cep · 05/03/2011 21:26

evening everyone.

lucy i'm so sorry hon, make sure you get lots of tlc.

knockedout hoping your wrong and you just didn't pee on it enough.

missinvincible that's disgusting. i would make a formal complaint on phone and in writing, (keep a copy yourself) highlighting your history and your current symptoms, the fact you peed into a non sterile cardboard cup, and that they told you it was neg even though the bloodtest showed pos. Glad the bleeding has settled though.

chip glad red has stopped hopefully for good.

sorry if i missed anyone.

knockedupagain · 05/03/2011 22:14

Lucy So sorry to hear your sad news. Sad I hope you take things easy.

MissInvincible What an awful time yoy have had. I feel so Angry for you! I think you should threaten to sue!

Knockedout I'm still hoping for you. Maybe your wee was more diluted?

It feels a bit like we're on the front line of a war zone at the moment. At least we have each other for support.

I'm off to bed now. I hope everyone gets a good night's rest.

chipmonkey · 05/03/2011 22:23

I'm just wondering about Bumpwanted. She doesn't seem to have posted in ages. Hope all is OK with her.

cep · 06/03/2011 09:00

chipmonkey · 06/03/2011 12:52

cep, I suppose it is possible that she simply Has A Life but I do hope she's ok.

TerrysNo2 · 06/03/2011 13:57

knockedout I hope it was a dodgy test or some ulta concentrated wee you used, everything is just a waiting game - and I am so impatient it doesn't help!

Hope everyone else is ok.

knockedout · 06/03/2011 18:33

Hello everyone,

I think I'll be bowing out gracefully now - I'm miscarrying at the moment. Better luck next time, I suppose!

Wishing you all the best, and hoping you all have lovely, worry-free pregnancies, and beautiful LOs come November.

knockedupagain · 06/03/2011 18:41

knockedout So sorry!Sad. I hope you do indeed have better luck next time. Do let us know when you get pregnant again. In the meantime, just try to take it easy until you start to feel a little better. x

chipmonkey · 06/03/2011 19:05

Aw, knockedout.Sad I was really hoping it was just a dodgy test. So sorry to hear that. Hope you get pg again soon.

Piplysmelie · 06/03/2011 19:36

Hello all

I posted early on and then lost the thread I have just spent some time catching up.

To all the ladies bleeding or experiencing MC I am truely sorry and have my FX for good outcomes or successful pregnancies to follow.

I have had 3 MCs in the past and I'm 41 so was hoping to get an early scan myself. My doctor for once was very helpful and referred me immediately to a consultant. However a busy body midwife rang me and told me I would not have a early scan as MC's not consecutive. Really annoyed about it, you would think you would at least get to talk to the consultant.

On the plus side I have very sore boobs, I have been feeling sick from week 4 and to top it off SPD has put in an appearence again. I have been on crutches with this in previous pregancies. I am however constantly checking for bleeding. DH thinks all the symptoms are a good sign so FX.

cep · 06/03/2011 19:56

knockedout so sorry hon, i hope you're getting lots of tlc at home.

welcome back pip i've got dr's on 21st and am going to mention that i had blood when i wiped, which i did last week but won't tell them when.

hi hils how you doing hon? has it sunk in yet?

tallulahpolly · 06/03/2011 20:39

The MC's on this thread have just brought me down to earth with a bump. I feel for you, such a sad situation. It's made me realise that no matter how happy we are about our pregnancies we are all at very early stages. FX for everyone, and hope those worrying and suffering are being looked after well. Hugs to all.

chipmonkey · 06/03/2011 21:12

I am actually delighted that I threw up today, Piply and that I got a sharp stabbing pain in one boob. Funny how feeling like crap can seem like such a positive thing!

Aaaargh. Went to try on dresses today for ds2's confirmation and ended up being bullied ( in a nice way) by the assistant into trying on dresses that I knew as soon as I looked at them weren't going to be nice and ended up talked out of a dress I actually did like. My belly is always bad but I definitely think it's more pronounced now and it wasn't exactly heartening to hear her say I'd be better with an empire line dress. Like, hello, wouldn't that be a maternity dress? Which I refuse to wear at this stage.

This happens any time I let someone help me and I don't know why I haven't learned to say "No thanks, I'm fine"

Sibella1 · 07/03/2011 09:26

Hi everyone, haven't been on here for a while - so sorry for all the ladies going through a difficult time.

I must say I am really suffering with nauseau today and yesterday - it makes me worried how I'm going to cope if its this bad already. Can't remember it coming this early with my other two. Also extremely tired, I just woke up a while ago and I'm already sleepy. I'm too old for this!!!

I'm doing Teaching Practice for my TESOL course on Wednesday and NOT looking forward to it.

I'm seeing the doctor tomorrow and I'm hoping for a scan or at least a blood test to see how far I'm along, as it could be either six weeks or seven weeks on Thursday, as my cycle has been quite short the past few months.
Good luck everyone!!!

cep · 07/03/2011 09:33

morning all.

hi sibella was thinking about you the other day, thinking hadn't seen you in a while. good luck for wednesday

I don't really have any sickness i'm just so tired, but with a 2yr old who seems to like getting up at 5:15 every morning lately it could just as well be that. i'm still getting nervous with every wipe. I get nervous with every ache/pain and then when i don't feel any. Grin Is anyone else really wanting scans but also really nervous/scared about actually having one?

TerrysNo2 · 07/03/2011 09:42

Morning all

cep I am 100% with you on that - I really want a scan but am really scared to have one at the same time. Also getting stressed at every toilet visit, ache and non-ache.

Good luck at docs sibella - hope you get a scan and let us know!

Reallyusefulengine · 07/03/2011 10:27

Good morning all,

Sibella Good to hear from you. Good luck at the doctor's and at the teaching practice.

I seem to be having less aches and pains which I'm taking as a good thing, along with alot more tiredness and sickness. Cep there's very little sleeping getting done in this house too as DD has monstrous teething pains.

Have become addicted to eating eggs. Am constantly thinking of them, all very strange.

I have another scan on Wednesday where I really, really hope they see something this time. Am feeling so worried but am feeling positive that I have real pregnancy symptoms too.

deemented · 07/03/2011 10:50

My local EPU refse to scan at all before six weeks as they say that it's only six weeks plus that a heartbeat is detected. I'll be five weeks tomorrow, and i don't think i'll be having an early scan. Have lots of morning sickness and nausea and boobs are very sore, but other than that i'm ok. Will probably fill in form for Midwife when i get to appor eight weeks or so.
