ledkr · 05/03/2011 10:36

pinkie this is too weird,my mum also had a still born,so many coincidences with us eh? Molly has def got reflux then!!

janedoe25 · 05/03/2011 10:46

Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts, the offer of donations has been so overwhelming and brought us both to tears. we are going to set up a memorial web page for Zoe with links to the SANDS charity for donations. SANDS has been excellent with their information and has helped us at this time. We would also like people to be aware of a charity called count the kicks. (im dont know how to post links)
Once the page is up and running my fiance will post a link for all who wish to donate.

We have a Humanist celebrant comming today to discuss the service, i am a complete mess just thinking about it. However we cant book anything yet as Zoe is still at Yorkhill childrens hospital undergoing a post mortem.

Again we would both like to thank you all, you have been such a great help and gave us so much comfort xxx

slowangels1 · 05/03/2011 10:47

I'll join in with the donations too if jane let's us know if there's any charity/whatever she would like. Hope she checks back on the thread as it must be really hard for her to see us with all our news at the minute.

Any news from knitta ? As soon as she doesn't post I keep thinking (and hoping) maybe it's time for her now...

Baby turtle also has massive wind etc issues which has only happened since we've had to force feed her so much Hmm. Don't think her little tummy likes all the food we are giving her. We've started on the infacol (sp?) in the hope it helps. She's so good but she's crying so much in pain with it, and there are lots of pongy smells coming from her all the time too Confused. We've also resorted to using a dummy quite a bit as it seems to be the only thing that settles her [desperate for some sleep and will try anything emoticon]. I have, however, been using tons of the lanolish and breast pads.

Don't want to tempt fate (and risk having hard objects thrown at me) but I think my bleeding might have stopped. Was a bit Shock at how little there was tbh. Only ever the amount of an average/light period and stopped after about 5 days - hopefully it's gone and I'm just v lucky Hmm

Anyone else got big back aches from holding baby/bending over/humungously heavy boobs?

slowangels1 · 05/03/2011 10:52

xposted jane . Do let us know the link when you get it up and running and I'll be thinking of you today trying to organise the service - must be so so hard for you to even think about it at the minute, especially as you can't even book a date etc. I hope your getting lots of RL support too. x

JustOneMorePlease · 05/03/2011 11:33

I want to make a donation when the link is set up. Wish we could help take some of the pain away.

Thinking of you organising the service, for what it is worth I thInk you are being incredible brave keeping us up to date Jane lots of love.

Chaos here with the gang. Huge boobies and not much sleep, but all good.

PinkiePoo · 05/03/2011 12:12

Thinking of you today jane. So many people will tell you to be strong, but you just be how you need to be.

I will definately donate too as this is something that is also close to my heart too. remember your not alone xx

PinkiePoo · 05/03/2011 12:15

ledkr wow, we really have a lot in common. Unfortunately some of it not good!!

Yes, i am just so gutted the cranial didn't work. In fact it seems to have got worse. I may take her back. or doctors. She screams now for now reason and also at the time of her cramps. Posseting a lot too. Saying that she is feeding well.

I really hope it passes soon though, as hate watching her squirm in pain. How is your DD's reflux ledkr?

How is the scar too? Driving yet? I can't wait to get my freedom back!!

ledkr · 05/03/2011 12:45

i drove a couple of times locally,to shop etc.feels bit vulnerable having the scar covered by seat belt Confused have to drive next week tho, have numerous drs apps and ellas dancing.
molly does sound like she has the dreaded reflux.D wasnt that great last night, wouldnt settle after her feed,dh has a cold and felt rotten so i dealt with it but he got up at 8 and i slept till 10.Smile
My scar hurts tbh,has another dodgy area-bleeds and stings, got pn check next week. Will start my Davina M post natal dvd then,i look like a saggy old bagpuss.I will be in a wet suit this summer rather than a cossie.
going to attempt town today got to get some birthday presents and take back my "smock dress" that looks skin tight on me Shock

PinkiePoo · 05/03/2011 13:11

Oh ledkr its horrible but the smock dress did make me giggle. I was naieve when i was preggo, thinking 'i cannot wait to give birth so i can fit into all my lovely clothes'..er..yeah wishful thinking. Even the ones that do snugly fit, seem to sit on my scar, so i have to live in my joggers and look all simon Cowell-esque so they don't sit on the scar.

is yours still infected then? Apparently mine looks 'great' their words not mine. Of course i cannot see it, because of overhang. I feel so beautiful right now Hmm

and hello? Davina Post natal dvd...right i am straight onto Amazon. Cannot not bloody wait to start working out again...never thought i would say that.

I know i think she does have reflux even though everyone tells me its colic. At least with colic that goes around 3 months...reflux up to a year! JOY!!!!!

takingforeverkid · 05/03/2011 14:59

What a great idea that of setting up a memorial website and donations, I hope all goes well today with the preparations janed.

Thanks for thinking of me angels, menat to say before what a wonderful name turtles is, nothing is going to be as good as that! Wink

well, had the monitoring this morning and an attempt at a sweep. My cervix is very posterior and the mw could barely reach, it was uncomfortable on the outside just because she didn't have long enough fingers Blush and she reached for a second and could only just pull the cervix, which was soft and about a cm dilated, but she could'nt reach to do the actuall sweep... oh dear. Everything else is fine (once knittakid jr woke up...) and I was having tightenings all the way through. How much longer can this go on for? am so bloody ready!

Please more pompom shaking for me!

slowangels1 · 05/03/2011 15:40

big pom pom shake with cartwheel thrown in for good measure to knitta

Btw - you do all know that turtle is a nn and not the actual chosen name for baby angels I assume Blush - just don't want anyone thinking I really am that insane odd. We are almost defo decided on alice but I think nn turtle might stick Grin

I did a postnatal recovery hypnosis CD last night and was really excited to find when I did deep breathing it felt like my lungs went on and on and on - didn't realise how squashed they must've been all that time Wink

SemperEadem · 05/03/2011 17:49

Hi Ladies,

Apologies for my absence yet again - I do lurk on here but haven't had much time to post recently. I must get better at that!

First of all my heartfelt sympathies to Jane and her family. My heart sank as I started to read your post and I am so so so sorry for your loss. I too would like to donate to any charity that is suggested. My Mam lost a baby at very near full term when I was just a little girl and I still have very strong memories of the sadness that was ever present at that time. My Mam did go on to have my little sister a few years later but we often think of the sister that isn't with us. I simply cannot imagine what you are going through.

I will be back shortly to post my birth story but had just popped on to have a quick catch up with the thread but felt I had to post when I saw Jane's story.

Much love to you and your family xxxx

ledkr · 05/03/2011 18:28

angels the bleeding does stop or slow down but comes back ususlly hope not in your case tho,i am wondering if ive just gone straight back into my periods maybe? Was hoping for a short break tbh.Poor baby turtle with her wind, you could call her Myrtle haha but then thats not a very nice name really.

Hope Zoes memorial plans are going well,at least you might get5 some answers from the post mortem,i hope so.
Thinking of you and your family still my love xxxxxx

wigglesrock · 05/03/2011 18:39

Evening all,

Doing a High School Musical inspired pom pom shake for you takingforeverkid Don't forget when I went for my sweep although the midwife could do it, she told me there was very little chance of anything happening and I went into labour that night, so fingers crossed xx

slowangels My back has been bothering me a bit lately, but I think I'm pushing the buggy awkwardly, am going to have a nosy tomorrow about changing the height of the handles, although I have yet to master how to fold the feckin' thing down. I used the same pram for dd1 and 2 but needed a new one this time and I'm not sure if I have got less dextrous or just can't be bothered with Mr Wiggles helpful instructions Hmm but I nearly turfed the bloody thing into the bin when I was out shopping, couldn't fold it down, almost stood there in tears, thankfully its a very neat buggy and we have a huge boot, had to leave it up!! Blush

Ledkr take care re scar, bleeding etc, hopefully next week will see a big improvement.

roundthehouses · 05/03/2011 18:57

sorry i haven´t been on, am trying to catch up every few days but not getting around to posting. Only just saw your news janedoe and wanted to say I am so very very sorry for your loss, I hope you and your dp are holding each other tight through this, you are in my thoughts.

tadjennyp · 05/03/2011 22:16

Thinking of you especially today Jane.

I've got terrible aches in my shoulder angels but I think it's because my sofa is a bit soft for the constant feeding really.

I hope you get something sorted with your scar soon ledkr. The drs ought to be sorting it out now. I keep having to hold the seatbelt away from my boobs unless I'm doing the driving! It's so dignified! Grin

Big pom pom shakes for knitta.

WaddlingSheep · 05/03/2011 23:20

Hi everyone

Sorry I haven't posted for a few days. I have been reading but every time I come to post I get rudely interupted.

Jane you and Zoe are still in my thoughts. I'm so glad you came back to read our messages and found them a comfort. You are being so brave. I hope that the planning for the memorial went as well as it could. Love to you and your OH xx

NeedToSleepZZZ · 06/03/2011 00:44

Jane i hope the pm gives you some answers, we've (OH and I) been thinking of you everyday and sending you all our love. I think the web page is a good idea and i also think you're being really strong (I'm not presuming to know what you're like when not on mn or just how difficult this is for you) with your posts.

knitta (sorry cannot think of you as taking forever...!) sending you lots of pom pom over-choreographed moves topped off with a cheesy smile.

angels i've finally stopped bleeding but it lasted for 4 1/2 weeks so if yours has stopped then you may have finally` had some luck with something Wink

ledkr · 06/03/2011 10:07

my baby was very naughty last night she is still doing 8-3.30 but then only takes an oz then no wind and wakes up an hr later but neither seems hungry or windy but is stil very tired we ended up holding her until 6 when she decided she was hungry. Not too bad today as we went back to sleep till 9 but in the week it would be time to get up grrrrr pesky baby Grin
My bleeding is quite heavy tbh,i got my pn on Fri but may get it checked before if carries on,im going to be anaemic at this rate.It was never a prob until now, slowed right down at about a week then just the odd trickle until now.
Having a lovely weekend with out the vultures,i commented to dh when shopping that they seems to eat a lot and needed to start to compromise,he aggreed wholeheartedly Shock i didnt tell you all but last week she told me that we will be staying for A WEEK at easter (we had planned a weekend just to avoid them coming here)i made some excise re Ellas activities and she poo pooed it.I have decided that i am going to very assertivly say"WE ARE ONLY STAYING FOR THE WEEKEND AS DH AND I WANT SOME OF HIS TIME OFF IN OUR OWN HOME" what do you think?brave eh?I think it will give a very clear message,we need to start putting in boundaries with the crazy beeeeeeatch Grin

ILovePonyo · 06/03/2011 10:56

Hi everyone,

I can sympathise with waddling about coming on to post and then getting rudely interrupted - dd has just started stirring as I have started to type!

Hoping for some good news soon from knitta - it seems like ages ago I was pg, good luck!

ledkr I am very Envy Envy at your little girl sleeping 8-3.30 - wow! Dd was grumbly from 8 til 12 last night, then woke at 3.30 for an hour and 6am for an hour

Go for it with the in laws, how bloody dare they invite themselves for a week - I am amazed at some of the stupidity/pig headedness of some people. Good luck with the assertiveness - that is coming from me, not particularly assertive myself, so am thinking you are very brave - good luck!

angels Alice is a lovely name, is it a definite yet or are you still deciding?

pinkie how are you getting on with the relux? I think I am going to take dd back to docs tomo, she still seems to be in pain a bit after/during feeds so need to get my assertive head on too and demand some help Wink

takingforeverkid · 06/03/2011 11:07

No news here Sad am even sleeping well!!! Confused

It'd be so nice for it to happen today as it is the birthday of my best friend from uni, who killed herself a year ago, but chances are small.

angels Alice is almost as good as turtle Wink

ledkr I can't believe your inlaws... what's wrong with them?

Keep shaking pompoms, etc for me please! Xxxx

40Weeks · 06/03/2011 13:40

Hello ladies

Have been lurking the last few days but haven't got the chance to post.

Have been thinking of you Jane how are you today? I think the donation is a great idea and will definitely make one to SANDS in memory of Zoe.

knitta thinking of you too, hope bubs makes an appearance soon

NeedToSleepZZZ · 06/03/2011 14:05

Be brave ledkr! Would love to know what your mil says in reply! Wink

knitta so sorry aobut your friend but pleased that you're sleeping.

I thought B was brilliant as I feed him at 10.30pm and his next feed is at 4am then back to sleep till about 7.30am. I'm so happy that he's sleeping, might try to put him down earlier having read ledkr's news. Can't believe he's 5 weeks today, he's growing so much and fits into most of his newborn clothes at last!

Anyway, just having a quick check in before we head to ILs for half hour. Hope you're all well Smile

slowangels1 · 06/03/2011 17:12

turtle weighed again today and has finally put on weight Grin. Still have to stick to mammouth feeding regime though for at least another 2 days and DH and I are shattered - we slept through alarm twice last night for waking us up for feeds and STILL had to wake turtle up for feeding and she's getting really fed up with all this force feeding!

Just off to try and order those photo birth announcement cards as we think we have finally decided on Alice :)

Come on knitta

ledkr · 06/03/2011 19:18

angels great choice,i liked that too.
Envy at need to being able to see pils for half an hour ooooo i nearly had an orgasm at the thought of it.Half an hour Smile
D has been grumpy today,i think she needs her meds increased,we are seeing paeds on Wed so hopefully better.I am going to change her nappy tonight as she falls asleep during the 4am feed then has been waking up after an hr,i thought it may help if she takes a bit more.
How are you today Jane?Would love to have the words to ease your pain but dont so just saying i am still thinking of you often like all of us on here.
