My boobs have never ever leaked, not even in the first few weeks after birth, and I breastfed my dd for 18 months. I guess it goes to show that every woman's experience is different. I've never been able to express though, so I suppose I must be producing just enough, but no extra.

munz · 14/11/2005 10:59

is there any actual links then to leaking and bein able to express easier/having enough milk to feed the family for a week! lol. (I'm a bit worried if I start feeding they won't bloody stop! lol)

did wear a pad to bed just to see if it affected anything - didn't seem to. v itchy thou - don't get the tommee tippee ones (they came free in my pump box and they're v itchy)

RosiePosie · 14/11/2005 11:31

No, I don't think there is a link, munz. Btw, you can get washable pads, which are much comfier ( not that I've ever really needed them, lol )and if you're using washable nappies, then you may as well wash your breast pads too.

munz · 14/11/2005 12:01

yes I'm going to look into those - just thought i'd use the freebie ones up first! lol. (god i'm so cheap! lol) DH found them ammusing thou! (bit worried cos he put em on his chest! lol)

MunnziesDH · 14/11/2005 12:11

It would be nice if you didnt tell the whole world about my Madonna impression thank you Mrs Munns

munz · 14/11/2005 12:17

email me and leave the girls alone!

MunnziesDH · 14/11/2005 12:22

no squirty.....lol

thell · 14/11/2005 12:26

Hello Mr Munz!
My DH would never dare glancing at a thread in which women are discussing their nipples!!

munz · 14/11/2005 12:35

thell don't encourage him! lol this thread's my sanuary for telling u girls about boobs - cos it's embaressing telling him! lol.

MunnziesDH · 14/11/2005 12:42

why embarassing telling me babe? Ive seen the things of which you speak

MunnziesDH · 14/11/2005 12:43

and why would he not thell?
they are only nipples after all!

thell · 14/11/2005 13:02

He's a bit squeamish when it comes to bodily functions. He's getting used to the idea of a home water birth quite slowly, but is coming round and calming down about it.
Unfortunately on Parkinson the other night Rod Stewart mentioned that Penny Lancaster is planning a water birth, and he's planning to don a thong and jump in the pool with her!!
Now DH just keeps repeating at odd moments, 'I'm not wearing a thong,...!'

lol - yes quite don't think i'd want DH in the actual pool with me - that's a bit much.

Klara · 14/11/2005 13:28

if I'd had my dhh in a birthing pool with me the last time - at one stage I think I would have been tempted to drown him!

Sorry guys - but am feeling so cheesed off today. Have no nice clothes anymore, only tents, am tired all the time (thought that was supposed to have worn off), am reduced to posting about why I hate being preggers (see pregnancy general) and am moody as hell and taking it out on my dh. Roll on tomorrow - off on a business trip for 2 nights - at least there will be no one who's evening I can ruin.....I can sit and brood alone.

klara

RosiePosie · 14/11/2005 13:59

Oh, I know how you feel Klara - I'm a right grumpy mare this pregnancy. Roll on March!

thell - have you thought about which birth pool you'll be getting? I was pretty ademant I didn't want a water birth, but as I'm getting bigger and more cumbersome, I'm imagining lounging around in a lovely warm pool of water in my living room whilst watching television! I'm seriously thinking about it now, but if I go for it, I'd want one which has a heater and a filter, so I could set it up before hand and use it in the couple of weeks before the birth to relax in as well. Our house isn't big, and with two littlies running around, I'm not sure how practical this will be, to be honest - not to mention that this type costs about £400 to hire!

desperatehousewife · 14/11/2005 16:18

I remember getting leaky boobs first time round at about 5 months - i was absolutely horrified! Am waiting with baited breath (or is that baited breasts?!) for it to happen again!

Still only feeling little bubbly movements from my little boy - getting a bit more regular - but by no means kicking or anything yet! Bless him!

Hey all your chatty today!

Munz, did you get an answer from Cadmum?
Re the 3rd film, did hear someone saying he's raising the cash at the mo! seems the chronicles are a pet project type thing, so he's doing the other rubbishy stuff (Disney) to get the money to do what he wants!!

Marne {{{{Hugs}}} Hon, hoping you start feeling better soon

Thell, ewwwwwwweeeeee, I'm with RP on that one, I did not want that image!

munz · 14/11/2005 16:41

newgirl · 14/11/2005 20:00

klara - I am not a fan of being pregnant although this thread does cheer me up a lot. If it was easy to adopt I would have loads more children by now!!

lol at rod in the birth pool good god. I guess it will encourage her to speed up a bit and get out again quickly.

poppyh · 14/11/2005 22:03

Thanks to all for the nappy advice.Havent decided which to use yet as I cant afford to buy any yet anyway!!
Baby is now very active and doesnt stop moving about , especially kicking my bladder constantly!!
Im loving my Scenic.ive only driven tiny cars before and was scared to drive it, but Ive taken to it like a duck to water and couldnt be happier.Had my friends 10 month old son in it yesterday with my kids, so good practice.
