george - this place is supposed to be very good. I got my furniture from them online and was very happy.

It's not too far from you and it's a massive warehouse so they'll have lots of prams to browse.

scully · 27/09/2005 14:09

There are some good things in their bargain link sh. & their Maclaren Triumph which you can use from 3mths is a good price - £11 cheaper than Mothercare. We have an Urban Detour from Mothercare from last time that we will reuse I think.
Remembered what I was going to say before, sick of people commenting on the size of my bump - I'm not that big, I am big, blah blah. Once I remind them that you can't compare me to someone who is taller, & that it's not my first baby, they keep quiet, just not really interested in hearing what people think my size is!

ei23mummy · 27/09/2005 14:10

alls quiet on the dec 05 front!!
im sooooooooooooo bored!! all the housework is done, theres nowt on the telly and everyone i know is either out or in work so iv got noone to talk to [sniff, sniff]

I'm always here

sweetheart · 27/09/2005 14:12

scully - I was really impressed with the speed of their delivery!

george32 · 27/09/2005 14:25

Oooh, it's so hard to pick things!!

The travel systems are really reasonable aren't they. My mum has offered to pay for that & £300 is her budget which seems really high now. I think I'll be saving her some pennies!

Looking at del times on furniture, we had better get our skates on or we won't have anything here in time.

Still haven't had chance to measure with TP yet. Been eating a belgian bun to push my tummy out even more (hmmm, not sure where that sits in relation to increasing fibre in my diet! )

scully · 27/09/2005 14:26

don't they have raisins in them
much like my cadbury's fruit and nut that sitting in my drawer, although I'm still vull from lunch........

scully · 27/09/2005 14:31

that would be 'full'
can't type anymore with these long pregnancy nails I have grown

ei23mummy · 27/09/2005 14:43

iv gone down 1/5th of a sheet!! the bump has changed shape tho!! im only 8 4/5 sheets now!!! i was really hoping for a change but up in sheets not down!!grrr how about you ladies??

OP posts:
george32 · 27/09/2005 15:41

No, no, no, no, no.
Still 8 sheets - which I'm sure must be impossible with how bloated I'm feeling. I want to go up a sheet, I've been 8 forever (sorry, going into pregnancy whine mode there)

Scully, fantastic observation, yes, obviously I chose a belgian bun for lunch because of it's raisin and, therefore, added fibre content
Oh you are good at this

dramaqueen72 · 27/09/2005 15:51

I've just had a nap, fabulous for over an HOUR!!! but now feel like I've been hit on the head or drugged.....but glad I got some sleep somewhere!
will post some recipes here I think at some point when I feel awake.
just done tp tuesday and freaked out.
I'm at almost ten.
so ei a breakdown of all the weight is again.......
my bump seems to have moved up (er...hello baby? youre supposed to be moving down v soon!!!!) and my ribs ache from the stretch. lovely.
not!

dramaqueen72 · 27/09/2005 15:54

and scully I have a sister like yours! I am a sz14, 5.5 (okay 5.4 but you know.......) and shes 5.2 or less? and tiny weeny, about a sz 8/10. its so lovely, not, shes older than me and frightfully businesslike and career minded. and well, I bake and have children!!!

sweetheart · 27/09/2005 16:08

I'm not doing TP coz I nearly feel off the toilet last week at 10+ squares!!! I might do it at home later where I can rely on the TP instead of the stupid stuff work buy.

DQ - there's nothing wrong with baking and kids - I'd love to be at home every day!!

ei23mummy · 27/09/2005 16:15

iv just had a nice big clearout of the comp. room as it was desperat for a hoover but there was so much crap lying around that there was only about a 3foo square area of carpet showing!! all done now tho just our bedroom to sort now but we need a new wardrobe cos the drawers on ours have fallen to pieces!! gosh flatpack is just not as hardwearing as youd expect!! esp if ive assembled it!! iv run out of jobs to do now!! iv also organised the music iv got on my comp as i had some really pants music on it from my teeny bopper days!!

I just waddled to the post box and back.

Gosh ei - your making me feel tired!! Do you fancy coming and doing my house next

ei23mummy · 27/09/2005 16:42

in knackered now!- maybe ill sleep tonight!!
ill be round later s/h i could do with some more jobs to do!! any suggestions?
iv got my follow-up appt at the hosp tomorrow re: my water infections[nervous emoticon] ill get the 'official' decision about wether i need a c/s or what so wish me luck for 9:40am!!

OP posts:
sweetheart · 27/09/2005 16:52

ohhh ei good luck. I've got to wait until 13th Oct for my official decision.

Whats your feeling's about it.

Personally, I know the draw back of having a c-section BUT I can also see some huge + points. Although the only time I've ever been in hospital is to have babies so the thought of an operation is a bit scary.

ei23mummy · 27/09/2005 17:12

i really want a natural birth cos i want to experience it iykwim! it isnt the end of the world to have a c/s and at least i will know exactly what date this bub is gonna come! and if i have to have one i can always go on to have a vbac anyway so it isnt that bad!!
everyone iv spoken to (including my mum and sister!!) seems to think that i wouldnt be able to cope with natural labour so im more determined to prove them wrong in that respect but i suppose ill have to go with whatever is safest for the baby at the end of the day!!

OP posts:
sweetheart · 27/09/2005 17:21

I always thought I wouldn't cope with childbirth but it's amazing what your body can take when it has to.

The main benefit of having a c-section for me would be that they would do it at 38 weeks and that sounds like a great option at the moment.

Although I don't much fancy running round after a 5 year old and a baby after an operation.

sweetbean · 27/09/2005 17:36

If you had asked me before i had my daughter (7 months ago) i would have said that i didn't care as i was so terrified of labour but i have to tell you (and anyone who will lisen) that alto it was vvv painful i would do it again as i was the most amazing and fantastic day of my life
i would say that if its safe for you to have a natural labour then go for it !!
oh and i only had gas and air and that was only while i was having her but before i went in to labour i was sure i would have an epidural as i can't stand pain
good luck hun and i hope you get the birth you want !!!!! xxx

ei23mummy · 27/09/2005 18:06

thanx sweetbean!!
i agree with the good parts of c/s SH as it would be nice to shave a few weeks off the wait for this pg to end- it hasnt been easy up to now!! but id still love to try to do it for myself!! im v stubborn and want to prove to all the sceptics that i can do it!! how come you might need to have a c/s SH? i dont remember reading about it (if you dont mind me asking of course!!- im nosey me aint i?!)

OP posts:
sweetheart · 27/09/2005 19:11

no of course not ei - low lying placenta was showing at my 20 week scan. Although I had the same with dd and by 32 weeks it had moved out the way so I'm guessing the same will probably happen again.

bonkerz · 27/09/2005 20:25

Id like to thank my secret stork again cos after 1/2 a bar of aero (the big bar) I am tired and relaxed and off to bed where i hope i will sleep like a baby! DH loved the blanket too! Thank you
