Right will go and look for the thread then!
Hi to all, Chloe well done for getting up that early to look after your dh! dd tried to get me up at 6.30 and I sent her back to bed for an hour!!
Flame sounds like Braxton Hicks to me, I never noticed any with dd, but have noticed lots this time round

TicTac · 19/10/2005 09:59

braxton hicks....so soon....
I had a hideous pain in my bump last night but I thought it was an awkward move from the baby?!?!

Frizbe · 19/10/2005 10:01

Did your bump go all hard tho tic tac? or was it just a pain in one place?

flamebat · 19/10/2005 10:02

I get the odd stabbing pain too, which I'm assuming is spark being awkward.

My thing is more localised though, rather than my bump going all hard... confused!

Chloe55 · 19/10/2005 10:06

I know I though Braxton Hicks was an end of term thing I think what you felt last night is different to me TicTac because my unusual feelings don't particularly hurt too much.

Can I ask a really really personal/maybe tmi question? Feel free not to answer but when you guys have sex at the mo does it feel really tight across your bum and somewhat a little bit painful, particularly afterwards - sorry but daren't ask any RL people

Chloe55 · 19/10/2005 10:06

Bump!!! Not bum

Frizbe · 19/10/2005 10:06

mmmmm from what I recall from last time, braxtons are more all over bump, but can localise to either all top tight, or all bottom tight, sometimes can be a bit that is growing...
sharp stabs? kicks?

flamebat · 19/10/2005 10:07

No sex here

Me n DH have got odd sex drives right now, and never seem to want to at the same time!!!

Chloe55 · 19/10/2005 10:09

Can't say mine's thriving but it was his birthday!

TicTac · 19/10/2005 10:09

Frizbe - no hardness (although was very hard when I woke up this morning!) but i sort of felt as if a fist was in my belly and pulled upwards...like bone.

Chloe - It's not TMI but I am not able to help, despite going hell for leather to conceive for quite a while...I can not face bedroom activities at the minute! We did once and it hurt like a really bad cramp across my pubic bone area. I think that might have put us off actually!

flamebat · 19/10/2005 10:10

We had chinese and a bottle of wine on his birthday, and then a nice early night... but we were both so relaxed by the wine, we passed out!!

Chloe55 · 19/10/2005 10:15

I'm doing exactly that tonight Flame! Hence the early start - I can then officially have my one glass of wine and pass out without feeling guilty!

teuch · 19/10/2005 10:17

hi girls, just clocked the message from Amanda... ...i'll go in the bunce for flowers too.

as for sex Chloe...can't say I've been raring to go, but when we do, it does go very tight across my bumo afterwards, and sometimes get a shooting pain (kind of up backside...). They say the endorphins and rocking motion are very good for baby tho...

teuch · 19/10/2005 10:19

getting quite a bit of braxton hicks too...

sometimes whole bump (as opposed to bumo!!) goes solid and tight, and sometimes just a kinda strip across it, low down.

3k · 19/10/2005 10:24

Hi All,

No sex from me either, it took us ages to conceive too and sex is the last thing I want to do at the moment.

I am unwell again this morning, came to work and felt ok'ish, been feeling a bit light headed in the mornings. I had some ready brek then got really bad cramps in the top of my bump like upset tummy pains. Might go home if they dont go off, feel like I need a hot water bottle and a sleep. I have called midwife to see if there is anything I can do but she is on holiday so waiting for her partner to call me. Not feeling great though. Have took some paracetamol so fingers crossed they work but it is really painful. Can someone put my mind at rest and tell me labour pains feel completely different to upset tummy pains?????

Frizbe · 19/10/2005 10:32

3k don't worry they do, I had across the top of my bump pains weekend before last (I think I told you all on here somewhere) and then was sick! yuk.....put it down to upset tummy.
Tictac lol! was it now

3k · 19/10/2005 10:38

Thanks Frizbe, I ate a tuna mayo sandwich yesterday and the cucumber tasted a bit funny. I think it is that.

TicTac · 19/10/2005 11:10

You know what I meant really

3K - it could be that your system is bunged up! That can be an awful pain, like camp, and I tend to get it every 3 days...following my poo cycle! But the pain is over bump and not bottom related at all!

3k · 19/10/2005 11:30

It could be TicTac, I havent been this morning (sorry if TMI). Had pickled onions last night too and sometimes onions make me fart really bad. Hehehe. It is starting to go off a little now though, not had the nasty griping pain I had earlier on. I will see what my midwife says when she phones but I suspect onions causing mayhem!!

gmh · 19/10/2005 11:55

morning girls,

I've been getting Braxton Hicks for a while this time round, even though I don't remember getting ang before. Definitely no pain

I do get lots of pains in my pubic bone and inner thighs tho, particularly when I walk alot (which I do most days, as I have no car) Should I be worried?

As for sex...well I wish, but DP seems to have gone off me lately... We were fairly active right through both earlier pregnancies with no pain but I know it's one of those things that is different for everyone.

sorry I don't know why I keep doing that

Chloe55 · 19/10/2005 12:11

Ah I'm sure he hasn't gone off you gmh! I heard that men get frightened about thinking they are going to hurt the baby - like stab it in the eye or summat

gmh · 19/10/2005 12:21

I know, but its been a whole month and the only other times we've been that long is the 6 weeks immediately after having the first two so its unusual for us... plus for some reason this time i am really keen at hte moment.

I suppose I could just talk to him about it, now there's a novel idea
