Is there somewhere local you can get a private scan done??

knackered76 · 20/10/2010 09:47

Morning all!

wonnay - glad scan went well, although I always found it annoying when I got put back days, felt like I had to do that bit all over again!

yellowtomato - I know exactly how you feel and am having one of those days myself :( I was so shocked when I had mmc in july I don't trust anything I feel now and am over analysing every small thing. Highly annoying for me. As cep said, I had 2 pregnancies where I felt fine the whole way through so no signs are not necessarily bad signs but I know how hard it can be to think positive. I had signs last time and had no idea the pregnancy had stopped working so I am the opposite to you, signs mean nothing to me!

Roll on 12 weeks and healthy, happy scans for us all!

Clarkie - I'm going to try the toilet trick at home when the children want me :)

MoogHasNoBrain · 20/10/2010 10:23

Hi ladies! Just saying hi - have been away for a few days. I have yet to catch up on all the posts as there have been loads. welcome and congratulations to all the new people!

Hi Rubberduckies great to see you on here - we were on the TTC June thread together :)

I am still virtually symptom free with the exception of sharp stabbing pains in one side which i am a little worried about... anyone else experuenceing similar? I am only 5+3 today.

It is lovely to see I am no longer at the bottom of the list by the way!

Wobblewatcher · 20/10/2010 10:41

Hi can I join? Just did test and due 27th June. Had mmc before my DD and chem preg last month. That BFP was very faint but this one is super dark and came up within seconds...

Bit nervous but also feeling quite confident dare I say it!!

Lots of symptoms-sore boobs, vivid dreams, feeling very cold and tired! Bit nauseous this morning. Period was due yesterday.

Grin
8rubberduckies · 20/10/2010 10:42

Hi Moog of course I remember you! Smile I too am having stabbing pains, worried myself silly Monday night they were a sign of ectopic pregnancy, but I think they are quite common, things stretching and all that. I've been getting quite a lot of mild pains down that end, but no AF-type pains, so am trying not to worry.

I am apparently 5+3 as well, according to the doctor, but I think I am only 4+3, as I was charting on Fertility Friend, as well as having blood tests to find out if I OVd and we did not bd for over a week at one point cos I had tonsillitis, so the times just don't fit in. I, of course, am playing along with being 5 weeks gone to get my dating scan a bit earlier Grin.

Hope everyone is well this morning, yellowtomato hope you are feeling a bit more positive. I will add to the other voices of support and say that I am thinking of you, and you're certainly not alone on here with your worries. I had so few symptoms with my first pg that I did not even suspect I was pg until around 7 weeks.

Putting myself on the list as soon as I get a really strong line instead of a faint one. Didn't test this morning (1 yesterday, 4 Monday Blush), but am going to try and hold off for a couple of days, as testing every morning is where madness lies for me! Wink

wonnaywombat · 20/10/2010 10:42

Moog - welcome back! Re: the sharp stabbing pains, the ob/gyn explained to me that they are our ligaments stretching around our ovaries and all the other bits and a very normal part of early PG.

8rubberduckies · 20/10/2010 10:43

PS In work and really don't want to do any actual work, would much rather sit on Mumsnet thinking about babies Grin Grin Grin

MoogHasNoBrain · 20/10/2010 10:54

Thank you wonnayombat and rubberduckies for the reasurance :) I am going to try not to worry - haha!

rubberduckies - I too am at work and have done nothing today other than catch up with the Mumsnet threads! really shoud do something but just want to talk babies!

8rubberduckies · 20/10/2010 10:58

I'm really struggling not telling anyone already!

crumbletastic · 20/10/2010 11:00

Morning everyone, hope I can join in your already massive thread! I'm approximately 6 weeks according to clear blue digital but not sure as had wacky periods for years now. Did POAS as was suffering nausea most days and hypersenstive nostrils but funnily enough as soon as I got my bfp sickness symptoms have stopped. If GP hadn't confirmed POAS I would not believe I was pg.

Feel extremely lucky as only been ttc for just over a month, must have been the first or second time we dtd! Wasn't expecting such a quick result though, I'm getting married in 9 days so hope the sickness stays away

yellowtomato · 20/10/2010 11:20

Thank you for the kind words of support, it is really appreciated.

It does make me feel better to know that I am just not going mental on my own and there are others that know how I feel. I think it's extra hard because I can't talk to any RL friends. I told quite a few people last time so I am being much more cautious this time.

I am trying to organise an early reassurance scan for next week. Was told by the early pregnancy unit at the hospital I could have one due to mmc last time but it seems I get different info every time I call and it's not so straightforward!

Welcome crumbletastic and congratulations!

I'm not doing any work either, really must try to concentrate!

moomin156 · 20/10/2010 11:27

yellowtomato whats RL friends, dont know that abbreviation

wonnaywombat · 20/10/2010 11:27

Not sure I've done a jot of work today either! Really should log out, but toooooo tempting to keep reading mn!

crumbletastic and wobblewatcher - welcome and congrats!

yellowtomato · 20/10/2010 11:32

Sorry moomin I meant real life friends as opposed to all the lovely ladies online!

Star82 · 20/10/2010 11:34

Jeez...only been away a few days and all these posts!!!

I have read through all the posts but forgotton to note everyones individual names so i'll go with and Huge Congratulations and Welcome to Everyone.

I feel shocking at the moment which is why i've been absent. Not pregnancy related, just picked up an almighty cold. Everything has taken a backseat as i feel so drained of energy and can't seem to focus properly.
I found out my friend has come down with shingles a couple of days ago so was initially a bit worried but thanks to google, it appears i would only be at risk had i not already had chicken pox. Phew!

No symptoms still but as mentioned before, i'm not really expecting the usual ones and never had them before. Was a little worried yesterday evening as i kept having cramps/pain in my lower abdomen. I know this can be normal but never experienced it before and after 2 other babies, would have thought i'd stretched enough already!!

To the Sheffield girls, i'm S Yorkshire too. Just recently moved due to DH work.

Off to slob relax until the kids back from school now. I might just tackle the ironing pile if i can psyhce myself up to it :)

8rubberduckies · 20/10/2010 11:34

RL is Real Life moomin (Love your name by the way Smile)

Hello and congratulations crumbletastic and wobblewatcher !!

moomin156 · 20/10/2010 11:49

Welcome back star82....know how you feel ive been laid up for 2 days with 'the bug'.....just got dressed for the first time since monday and thats only because my mom is coming round. Hope you feel better soon

takethatlady · 20/10/2010 11:52

Hi there, I haven't read the whole thread (it's so long!) but I got my BFP last Thursday.

I had a chemical pregnancy last cycle so I've waited a few days before coming on here. I also have really long cycles (since coming off the pill: 32, 47, 51 (including the chemical pregnancy 2 days after AF was due, so 49 really) and this cycle would have been 63!!! I was about to go in for blood tests next cycle to see if I have PCOS. So I'm very cautious about this pregnancy as I've read that long cycles have a higher incidence of miscarriage.

Anyway, that's the doom and gloom stuff. I'm chuffed to bits and I'm praying it sticks. Due June 28th by my reckoning.

Congratulations to everyone else!

IsabelleSE19 · 20/10/2010 12:00

Morning all - congrats to the recent BFPs!

Apologies as I'm on here to moan. Am starting to be really stressed about not having a job - I was made redundant the same week that I conceived. Worst. Timing. Ever. Waiting to hear about an interview I went for last week, but starting to think that the longer I don't hear, the more likely it is I didn't get it and am back to square one. Only worse because I'm that little bit further along in the pg and even if I do get a job, I'll have to tell them almost immediately that I'm pg. Need a lottery win! Also am starting to go stir crazy as I spend nearly every day at home on my own.

Sorry - have to vent on here as no-one knows I'm pregnant apart from DH!

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 20/10/2010 12:09

I'm finally admitting I'm preggers at 5+3 weeks. Have had 2 early miscarriages in the last 2 months so have been being rather causious (sp?)

This will be DC2 for us so hoping that running around after DS will keep me occupied through the long long months and weeks ahead. Figure my EDD is June 20.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone [hgrin]

takethatlady · 20/10/2010 12:10

Hey nomorechoc [hsmile]!! Good to see you.

I reckon I'll start celebrating and accepting it when I'm at your stage - which, if our due dates are anything to go by, is in 8 days time. Perhaps that's when I'll go see the doc.

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 20/10/2010 12:19

Cautious! That's it. My spelling and typing abilities are already dissappearing.

Wobblewatcher · 20/10/2010 12:58

TTL and NMCB

I'm in a similar place, TTL I also had a chem pregnancy last cycle. Was your BFP faint last time or normal?

There are a few of us who are a bit nervous so hope we can all help each other.

Haven't had many cramps today but have been getting them. However had LOADS with my DD, probably loads more than I did with my MMC so doesn't mean something bad. Equally a friend of mine didn't have any either time with her DDs so we all have to try not to look into our symptoms/non symptoms too much.

Sounds daft but to those who have had mmcs but fall easily, I told myself it was my bodys way of being a bit too desperate to have a baby so instead of it being a BFN, it tried and tried but it just didn't work out, for someone else it may just have been a BFN. Does that make sense? Probably not Grin

I was on a AN thread with my daughter and remember it very very fondly so thankyou all Smile

Seeing my reflexologist later and can't wait!! Xx

Yarnie · 20/10/2010 13:36

Oh my goodness. I leave the thread for a few days and it balloons!

Hello to all the newcomers!

I have had a GI bug for 5 days, which was horrific, mainly because I had to keep up with my toddler. I've lost 5 pounds, which worries me, but I'm getting my appetite back, slowly but surely.

My poor bean will have to be a fighter what with this and the hand, foot and mouth. It has not been an auspicious start to pregnancy number 2!

I have a viability scan booked for next Tuesday, so I can't stop thinking about that. I'll be 7 weeks exactly.

No pregnancy symptoms, still. But I didn't have any last time, so I can't read too much into that.

8rubberduckies · 20/10/2010 13:37

Crikey I'm going to burst! My lovely friend in work has just got back from his partner's 20-week scan and has been telling me all about it and asking me loads of questions about pregnancy and birth! I reeeeeally want to tell him , which is why I am on here frantically typing instead!!! Him and his partner were ttc for 2 years, and we used to share all of our ttc woes, so it feels so natural just to tell him... grrrrr.... I am so rubbish at keeping secrets....
