Am so annoyed with my dh. Just came down from the bathroom after vomiting my heart out (sorry) walked into sitting room with tears down my face, looking awful and said to him "any chance of a foot rub? theyre killing me" and he just goes... "nope" and carried on eating crisps and watching tv. Ok I know Im being unreasonable but its the least he could do. dickhead.

Well i have just had to POS again.........a BFP within seconds so feeling a lot better about my distinct lack of symptoms. DH thinks i am mad as i have just shown him the stick on Skype.
Welcome Pozzled
GoodVibrations i think i was the founder member of the 'old birds club'......so yes the moomins does give my age away, but they werent scary......LOL

Girlsworld · 14/10/2010 21:55

Feel a bit shy now Blush... should I change my name to ThreadRoadkill?? Wink Smile Thanks for the welcomes.

Minione · 14/10/2010 22:00

Hi, can I join the June bus? Just found out I'm pregnant, due the 17th June if I've worked it out correctly. My first baby, Malachy was sadly born stillborn at 30 weeks on June 12th, only Dh knows that I am pregnant and I'm avoiding telling family and friends until I know everything is ok (or until I can't avoid it any longer!)

Anyway, have quite a few symptons, feeling sick and knackered to name 2, so am trying not to worry too much.

BarbieLovesKen · 14/10/2010 22:01

moomin bless your cotton socks - showing your dh your wee stick on skype Grin. Funnily enough, I havent POAS since my BFP. Am jealous Im not in this 'old birds club' it sounds quite fun and clichey Grin.

Who wants to join my young 'uns one?

Girlsworld dont be silly Smile we'll soon knock that shyness out of you!!

BarbieLovesKen · 14/10/2010 22:03

Minione, just seen your post. I am so sorry to hear about Malachy (such a beautiful name too) I just cant imagine what that was like for you. Sad

A huge congratulations and welcome though, and am looking forward to getting to know you over the next 8 months or so!

Thanks everyone for the welcomes. Smile

Haven't even begun to think about the boy/girl thing, but so far I'm feeling the same as last time so I'd guess another girl.

Barbielovesken Don't think you're BU at all, at least he could have given you some sympathy!

pozzled · 14/10/2010 22:06

mrsbigw · 14/10/2010 22:11

Hello & welcom girlsworld I only joined v recently too.

Barbie I really feel for you, I am having my 4th, my partner is away virtually all the time & I haven't even attempted cooking in days, my poor boys are living off takeaway food (they asked if I can have another baby after this one if it means they get takeaway so often!)& even that has to be something that doesnt smell for me to allow it through the front door.

I didnt even know I had enough clothes/ towels etc in the house to account for the laundry mountain & not only does my house look a wreck but I do too!

I have had the nausea before but never this bad, I dont mean to jinx myself but the last 2 days have been significantly better for me I have eaten & drank OK, I suppose what I am trying to say is that you are not alone in feeling crap, never feel bad for telling us & with a bit of luck you will get a little respite soon. Or maybe its time to visit the GP and get a little help? Take care though xx

Minione · 14/10/2010 22:13

Thanks everyone, I'm going to be closely monitored during this pregnancy so hopefully everything wii be ok. Although they couldn't find a specific reason for Malachy's death and there were no chromosonal abnormalities they can't rule out the chance of it being something genetic, so this is obviously worrying.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone x

GoodVibrations · 14/10/2010 22:13

P.S But despite the scariness moomins was one of my favs as a child (along with Jamie and his magic torch and button moon)

yellowtomato · 14/10/2010 22:14

So far I have told my doctor and acupuncturist...and that's it. I think I am being more cautious this time because of the mmc. Not planning on telling any family until after 12 week scan.

It is difficult keeping such a massive, life changing secret though!

MrsSpruce · 14/10/2010 22:14

Hi ladies I would love to join your happy group. I got my bfp last week and am so excited it's the only thing I can think about. This is our first baby.

Due on 14th June and I'm currently 5+2. Time seems to be dragging so much!

Looking forward to getting to know you all over the next 8 months :)

moomin156 · 14/10/2010 22:14

Well i am 38 and on number 1, in the last 12 months my life has changed beyond belief.......14months ago i was single and thinking that it would never happen for me and here i am, a married woman with a BFPGrin

BarbieLovesKen · 14/10/2010 22:15

Oh Mrsbigw I could cry at your lovely, sweet and thoughtful post. Thank you so much. Its so helpful when others understand when you feel so much on your own.

Im sorry your having such a rough time too. I really hope its onwards and upwards from here on in for you and the feeling better continues.

I laughed out loud about wondering where the clothes came from cos mine is exactly the same. Actually, the washing has now spilled out from the baskets and is all over the utility room floor Blush.

Thanks again, I really appreciate it. Am off to bed (actually, cant believe I lasted up this late!!). Night all

(huge welcome mrsspruce I know, time rreeeeaaaly drags for those first 12 weeks and yellowtomato I completely understand! when pregnant with ds after my MC, I didnt say anything to anyone for ages, finally a guy in work just bluntly asked me at six months pregnant was I (I was huge) and I said "no!, why do ask? I thought Id put on a few pounds but...." Grin poor man, I only kept it going for a minute or so though)

Just adding myself, although I am sure that my due date will change once I have actually seen the midwife - I've got my first appointment with her booked for 3 Nov :)

Re the exercise question, I read on the NHS website that you should continue exercising but avoid sit ups and tell your instructor that you are pregnant. I do a few different classes but I haven't told any of my instructors (it doesn't really seem right to tell them before we have even told our families) and my logic is that if I am pushing myself too hard my body will tell me. I noticed at my class yesterday that I was much hotter than usual so I just stuck to the low impact stuff and took it steady. When my mum was pregnant with me her GP surgery was in the next village and my dad would take the car to work each day so she cycled to all of her midwife appointments right up until I was born! (Although I wouldn't follow all of her tips - her GP recommended that she drunk a pint of Guinness a day for the iron!!!)

Great news about the scan petitech! Fingers crossed for you Starflowergirl

petitech · 15/10/2010 06:56

what's this with the old and young birds buses :) at 32 which is my bus ;) have a lovely day all xxxxxx

wonnaywombat · 15/10/2010 07:30

Morning all and a very big welcome to all the newcomers - what a lovely busload we have!

Good question re: how old you have to be to get in the old girls club! Over 35 makes you a veteran in sport so could the same apply to PG?! Although veteran implies some degree of experience and I don't have much although I'm feeling as if I'm gaining it every day reading all these posts.

So far only DH knows (obviously!) and our yoga teacher who I think was almost more excited than us! Mum and dad are coming out to stay on 26th so assuming all goes well at the scan on the 20th, we can tell them in person. Will almost certainly wait until after 12 week scan before telling anyone else. We're quite good at keeping mum as we were married in secret in Scotland last September!

Wishing everyone a wonderful Friday - hooray for the weekend Grin
