Calling The Viroids - Just Shagging Graduates!

gormers · 13/08/2010 19:57

Just thought I'd start a thread for all those JS graduates, whether a newbie graduate or even if you left us a while ago and are well on your way. Would be good for us to keep in touch, see if we're all staying 'sane'. Grin

Don't know about you ladies, but I am still filled with the overwhelming urge to PIAR (that's POAS for all you older graduates - after you left us we went a little mad and started harnessing the power of the ramekin!) I think once you start the habit it doesn't leave you!

Well, it's good to know that the Just Shagging method works. Even if we did once in a while just cheat a teeny tiny little bit! Wink

Oh gormers! what a rollercoaster. Congratulations on getting so far. What a fighter indeed. Puts it all into perspective when you realise where you 'should' be. I am so glad Eva is growing and improving. Can't imagine what you have been through. How are you physically? Wa it a case of once your pregnancy was over you improved?

Beautiful, beautiful name! I have fingers and toes crossed things continue to improve xxxxx

Dynababy · 28/02/2011 21:15

Gormors wow - how difficult for you DP and wee Eva Rose! Hope the next few weeks go well and you can get home and start family life with her.

SnapFrakkleAndPop · 01/03/2011 04:59

Oh my goodness gormers! So glad all is going okay for you now but it must have been terrifying. I love the names you've chosen, strong yet feminine.

You should pop over to the April thread and update :) we have another preemie too but not quite as early as yours.

We need that Just Mumming thread for Viroids!

takethatlady · 01/03/2011 07:46

FFS. I just lost my whole post by pressing backspace accidentally four times.

Congratulations gormers on your little fighter. Eva Rose is such a stunningly beautiful name and I bet it suits her to a tee - as someone else said, strong and feminine at the same time. And she sounds strong! Really sorry you've been going through so much and I hope you and DH have been bearing up okay. What an amazing day it will be when you bring her home :)

PMSL nmcb I just meant the chat we'd had on here about Argos and Greggs. Obviously I am easily led down the route of tat and terrible food. I have actually had McDonalds about five times since I've been pregnant Blush

My Asos purchases are turning up today - I'll let you know the verdict!

BrassicaBabe · 01/03/2011 09:30

Feck gormers Shock How to mess with your head! So glad Eva is doing well and gaining weight. (Beautiful name by the way) I hope you are all bearing up, you've all had a tough ride in 2011.

Ooooh Greggs Grin Now you've got my attention! Wink (I don't have a sweet tooth) Hmm, cheese and onion pasty Ok, so I'm not an Argos fan, but I could def neck a pint on the way home. Shock Looks like I'm in good company here. Which, of course, I knew! Smile

Milano thanks for the wake up call. My head is still firmly under the pillow though!

Anyone heard from the TTC Viroids recently? It's been a while since we've had a graduate. The stress levels must be getting high for some now. I have to say I really don't miss the timed shagging and the general preoccupation I got myself into.

44% discount on Isabella Oliver until midnight

Hi all,

Saw you pop up on the most active...

Congratulations to Gormers, but sorry to hear it's all been so crazy for you. Hope you, OH and Eva Rose are doing well. What a little fighter!! Grin

Glad to hear that the viroids are blooming - even if you look fat not pregnant!! Wink Due dates are drawing closer. St Davids

I decided to step away from the TTC thread for a while - obsessing too much and it doesn't make it any easier. Am on cycle 3 of clomid and awaiting ERTD at the moment. Not hopeful, but that's ok.

Has been quiet on the thread - no BFPs at all.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and hugs to all. Think of you all often.

Miff xxx

vallinnapod · 01/03/2011 10:36

Brassica my love for you knows know bounds...my credit card thinks slightly differently...now to get my basket down from £800.....

Miffs lovely to hear from you! Sorry it's getting so frustrating, I can empathise. In fact DH said he would actually never consiously try to have a baby again because of all the timed shagging and lack of romance Shock Good job we have 2 in the freezer if he wants no part in it Wink

vallinnapod · 01/03/2011 10:45

2 wrap tops, 2 vests and 2 dresses...it makes it better if I tell myself I saved £196.98...Blush Will now stop shopping.

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 01/03/2011 11:33

Vallinna someone was just saying on the June thread the IO stuff has really good resale value on ebay...

Hey Miff's good to see you. Didn't I also see Josie had stepped back from TTC for a little while? Anyway don't be a stranger, knocked up or not. Grin

Greggs is okay (pass the steak bake please), but nothing beats a good steak and cheese pie. Kiwi style .

The booze talk last night must have made an impression, because I had a dream last night and I downed 3 cans of beer pretty darn quick (all the while thinking this is wrong I'm pregnant!).

vallinnapod · 01/03/2011 11:49

Thanks for feeding my habit NMCB Grin - I had noticed (by trying to purchase IO stuff on eBay!) it resells well. Hopefully it will in 3 or 4 years time, or whenever I am done with breeding Grin

My dreams are quite nuts at the mo...nearly always involving sex, sometimes even with DH!!

kateepie2 · 01/03/2011 15:06

Hello! I have been lurking, but mostly keeping up with the ttc side. Quite a few ERTDs recently, one ectopic and one v. faint line, so we may have another to join us soon Grin

Congrats katiepie! About time we had some newbies from the other thread, and very exciting to see an October baby over here!

vallinna I'm sooo with you on the weird/sex dreams. Last night I got arrested for accidentally stealing a bowl from a baby shop (just an ordinary ceramic breakfast bowl, nothing to do with babies) even though the man who arrested me saw me trying to put it back and knew I had made a mistake. I called him a prick and he added indecent language and violence to the charges of theft, and took me to a police station where he allowed me to wait next to a children's play area before I got charged. He could see I was pregnant and thought I would like to be near children Hmm. I was thinking 'what sort of mother am I - theft, violence and swearing. They're going to take the baby'. Very odd. I'd rather go back to shagging all the men I've seen that day Blush

Asos purchases were good. The green dress looks okay (for the wedding) and is as good as I'm going to get for £30. The two dresses I bought for day wear are fabulous and gorgeous and I feel like myself again. Lovely pair of shoe boots, too, and the leggings are fine. The white shirt is humongous and I don't know whether to keep it or not - did you get the £30 one vallinna? I look ridiculous in it but I'm wondering if I'll be grateful for it once I'm huge. Three dresses, a shirt, some leggings and a pair of shoes for just over £100 isn't bad, I reckon! The only weird thing is the green dress smells of smoke Shock. Not sure whether to bother complaining or just to wash it...

takethatlady · 01/03/2011 16:09

PS - big wave and big hug for miffles :) Can't wait for you to join us full time :)

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 01/03/2011 17:27

Oh no. DH bought me chocolate fudge. Watch this space, it's about to fill up with stomach/arse/thighs!

PS Vallinna anytime Grin

takethatlady · 01/03/2011 20:08

. I have eaten a Ripple, two bags of crisps and a Yorkie today. And I'm thinking of going to Tesco's and buying some strawberry cheesecake. Or coming round to yours and stealing your fudge cake ...

Baby2b · 01/03/2011 20:24

Still lurking until I'm not such a moody cow :) Morning sickness has started to get easier, so hopefully that will be soon!

Gormers hope you are feeling better and glad to hear your little one is being such an amazing little fighter.

Gormers! Congratulations (I think!)on Eva Rose's arrival and so pleased to hear despite it all she is doing well. Lovely name by the way.
Lots of positive be well and all the best thoughts your way x

Congrats katiepie! Its very exciting to see an October baby over here, cant believe the way the year is going.

My friend had a boy this morning weighing 10lbs 9oz so I cant wait to go see them soon.

Had a scan yesterday and she is growing well at 29 + 2 now est weight of 3lb 1oz so getting big now and head down ready to go!

I have decided to take some holidays and then start my maternity leave a little earlier than planned and my last day in work is now next Friday so only 8 working days left, it was my idea but now I cant believe how quick it will be but I am ready, how ever much I dont want to finish I can not deny how much better I am feeling even with UTI after having some proper rest and not being stressed because of work I know its for the best.

I cant wait to have a Wine

Shock that was the feeling of my vajazzle at a 10lber! 8 days...so jealous! Glad to here all is growing well and that it's head done, ready to go!

I am pretty sure my last day is going to be 29 July which gives me 3 weeks vacation/public holiday days and a weeks mat leave before EDD. this was one of the first things I worked put Grin

Had a lovely relaxing acupuncture tonight so am off the snooze!

Fuzzywood · 01/03/2011 22:27

Don't know if anyone remembers me, I graduated a while back from the original js thread and saw this on active convos so thought I'd pop in and say hi again. Delighted to report that Evan James arrived safely on the 28th January. Everyone is doing really well and my little man is just gorgeous .
Gormers huge congratulations, hope Eva Rose continues to do well.
Lovely to see some more original jsers graduating. Will read the thread properly later to catch up on all the news.

gormers · 01/03/2011 23:12

Hello! Posted twice today from iPhone, and both posts have disappeared! Will try again...

Thanks a lot for all your thoughts and best wishes, all very much appreciated. Will keep you all updated on little one's progress.

IO sale looks good, although there's not too much in nursing so I have not succumbed. However, I did buy some IO stuff when pregnant from both website and some eBay bargains. They looked great but I just didn't get much chance to wear them! Next time eh?!

Miffles - hello! Hoping it's your time soon, Hun.xx

Fuzzywood - Congratulations and welcome to Evan!! Hope all is going well and is great to hear from you. It's amazing that we've finally properly graduated!! Like the idea of Just Mumming Thread! Fuzzy, make sure you stay in touch on here to let us know how things are going.

Takethat - you think you're eating now, wait until the breastfeeding (expressing!) munchies hit you!!

OP posts:
takethatlady · 02/03/2011 10:11

fuzzywood of course we remember you :) Congratulations! Are you and gormers the first JSers to have your babies? This is very exciting. Brew and a packet of Biscuits for all of us who can't drink yet, and Wine for you two Envy...

Oh no gormers really? I was hoping that breastfeeding would return me to what I used to think was not slimness but, on mid-pregnancy reflection, turns out to have been slimness after all Smile

Wearing one of my new dresses today and my shoe boots and feeling like they make me look pregnant rather than fat and also a teensy bit glam. I probably actually look horrendous but I am walking around thinking 'I am no longer a blob' and feeling very smug Smile

I've only got £2 on me and I forgot my purse with my bank cards in it, and I have no lunch ... I reckon a sausage roll is all I can afford. I wish there was a Greggs on campus :)

vallinnapod · 02/03/2011 10:24

Oh congrats Fuzzy! It is so weird to think our mad rantings and phantom symptom spotting days are starting to produce little people!

Got my maternity clothes haul from Seraphine which I was very pleased with in terms of quality. Keeping 2 tops and a dress - sending 2 dresses back, so an improvement on my ASOS shop!

Stupidly tired today. My face is really puffy for some reason. I look like I have been having a good weep!

gormers · 02/03/2011 11:25

Takethat - maybe it's just me, and possibly the stress of spending all day in NICU every day makes it worse, but I can't stop eating chocolate now. Have just spent an incredibly ironic 30 minutes browsing the Weightwatchers and Runners World websites whilst mananging to eat both a Boost and a Cadburys Creme Egg!!!

Have had the odd glass of stress-relieving Wine, but I think the time of it has slashed my tolerance and was left feeling rather hot and squiffy after just one small glass!!

OP posts:
gormers · 02/03/2011 11:27

'time off it' that should be - glad it wasn't just pregnancy brain that prevented me from being able to type properly!
