Just thought I'd start a thread for all those JS graduates, whether a newbie graduate or even if you left us a while ago and are well on your way. Would be good for us to keep in touch, see if we're all staying 'sane'. Grin

Don't know about you ladies, but I am still filled with the overwhelming urge to PIAR (that's POAS for all you older graduates - after you left us we went a little mad and started harnessing the power of the ramekin!) I think once you start the habit it doesn't leave you!

Well, it's good to know that the Just Shagging method works. Even if we did once in a while just cheat a teeny tiny little bit! Wink

Grin at Baby Pod beat. It's a great sound isn't it Vallinna?

I vividly remember having to sit leaning forward on the loo for the last couple of months of DS. I'm fully expecting to have to do that this time round too. frakkle that was for your problem

My hormones have well and truely kicked in. I keep wanting to tidy/clean (think that's also knowing we have to move in 2 months and wanting our bond back) and then yesterday I watched Mr Holland's Opus on TV and cried at most of it! DH actually looked embarrased! (even worse was I cried at the latest Avivia ad).

vallinnapod · 01/02/2011 08:53

Bless you NMCB wanna go at our place?! Wink

On second listening when DH got home what I was hearing could have been my pulse (femoral artery maybe?) as when I put the probe on my neck it was roughly the same sound. Oh well, 50 hours until scan....

takethatlady · 01/02/2011 11:40

Grin at vallinna's attempts to hear the baby. Don't worry though, I bet you did hear it. When I've heard the heartbeat on the doppler at hospital/midwife appointments the only thing I can hear is the baby's heartbeat and it's fast - like 150bpm, so if you time it you should be able to tell. Unless you have a crazy heartbeat!

Yep, nmcb, I've got a total pigsty you can clean up if you like. Every day I think 'if DH and I die in a freak accident people are going to find out about the mess we live in' Grin

I think I felt the baby moving last night when I was lying in bed, and I was pretty sure I could feel it kicking out on my right side when I had my hand on it. When I put DH's hand there he said he could just feel my pulse, though Hmm. Confused. Still, I'm going to take it that it was the baby. 19+2 today, roll on the 20 week scan!

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 01/02/2011 13:25

Haha, I should have mentioned, my bursts of cleaning frenzy last for about 10 minutes at a stretch and usually end with me finding an excuse for a wee nap sit down. Blush

SnapFrakkleAndPop · 02/02/2011 07:41

Definitely sounds like baby to me. If you can't feel it all the time then it's almost certainly baby. Although that said mine is moving pretty much constantly now, kicking, nodding, patting, jabbing - you name it, it's happening here. It's bizarre watching my bump move and stretch.

BrassicaBabe · 02/02/2011 08:46

oooh, I'm not sure how I'll feel when the babies start moving. Hmm It all seems a bit wierd. Grin

Over on the twins thread (not as active and they don't seem to get my humour Grin There is frequently after my posts) some people are on their 13th scan!! I'll want shares in NCP if I get to that! It's going to bankrupt me!

So I asked the "wee sitting up straight" question. Here's another one for you...Is anyone finding it more messy after sex? I'm guessing that it's something to do with areas that are now "blocked off" that used to be "open" BlushGrin Discuss.

takethatlady · 02/02/2011 09:32

Grin Grin Grin about the blocked-off areas. I haven't noticed!

Also, this makes me think, if it doesn't all come spilling out when the areas aren't 'blocked off', where does it go??!

Just had a plumber round to open up some pipes. Lucky I didn't read this thread before he arrived or I wouldn't have been able to keep a straight face Grin

I think the baby is kicking over here. I can't feel it in the day but if I lie really still at night I think I feel it. And then just now I sneezed and then there were all these tiny pummelling movements about an inch or two above my pubic bone. I've never felt anything like that before so I'm hoping it's the baby. Although a bit freaked at its rolling punches ...

I just wrote 'public bone' instead of pubic. It is not a public bone - well, not until the birth anyway.

Feeling a bit nympho recently. Apparently it's all the extra blood. Anyway, I'm going to make the most of it before the baby ruins my bits forever Shock Grin

Baby2b · 02/02/2011 17:28

Grin at blocked off areas and adding ruined bits to worry list, lol.

I haven't noticed more mess, but definitely a bit nympho to. Had the rudest dreams lately, one involved a guy from work and I can't look at him now Blush. He is really not my type either < hopes for Hollywood hunk next time>

As we are asking questions, at what stage is OH on top a no no? Is it just based on pg belly too big?

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 02/02/2011 17:36

I've found the mess is at an all time low of nil. Sadly for the wrong reason though .

B2B think it just comes down to personal comfort really.

takethatlady · 02/02/2011 18:01

Oh I didn't know about OH on top being a no-no. I'm sure by that stage more spectacular positions are probably ruled out too Grin so maybe there's just a point at which anything but desperate me-on-top-because-old-wives-say-this-will-get-the-baby-out is ruled out Grin

Glad someone else is having the sex dreams too. Who knew infidelity and pregnancy went together so well?! Shock

cowboylover · 02/02/2011 18:47

I think its just a comfort thing with the positions ect

DH doesnt like the thought of it with the baby in there which is driving me crazy! I am defo very nympho at the moment and have had awesome sex dreams mostly with Jacob from twilight but I did ruin it a bit by googling him and finding out he was only 18 so am trying to turn my thoughts to Emmet Smile or both Grin

vallinnapod · 02/02/2011 19:09

can't remember when we last had sex Blush and I couldn't care less...Blush

Egg collections was on 13 Dec and pretty sure we hadn't done it for a couple of weeks by then. Ever since EC/ET I have been swollen/bloated/constipated/panicked by every twinge so completely not in the mood. Keep apologising to DH, who says it doesn't matter, but it must.

Baby2b · 02/02/2011 20:10

My dh is worried toocowboylover. He doesn't take much persuading but is worried about prodding the baby and about leaning on me Hmm

takethatlady · 02/02/2011 20:28

Grin cowboylover at your naughty dreams with younger men. 18 is legal, so dream on I say!

vallinna I doubt it matters ... like the others have said, the men seem to be more worried about doing it than worried about not! DH and I hardly ever did it in the first trimester and despite my general horniness we're still way down on the ttc sex count at the moment. Couldn't care less either - for weeks I was too knackered/vomity/scared to do it and DH seems to be leaving it up to me to make any moves (though he's happy enough to respond when I do Wink)

Anyway, we used them for their sperm, we got what we wanted, they weren't complaining, and now probably all of us (them included) need a rest! Grin

Dynababy · 02/02/2011 22:18

Ha ha ha! I've been lurking but today sex chat is bringing me out again!!

I've had two sexy dreams in the last week, so sexy in fact that I've actually orgasmed in my sleep!! Blush ...and neither featured DH ha ha! TTL I didn't know infidelity and pregnancy went well together either!

BB I haven't noticed more mess..but what you say about being 'blocked off' makes sense! Since you have started the questions ..anyone had a bit of an ache in the fanjo since being upduffed?? I have noticed it a couple of time in the last week ..Hmm

Not much news here, have 16 week appt with midwife tom.. might ask her about achey fanjo if I'm feeling brave!

Hope al imminent scans go well, look forward to hearing about them! I'm impatient to find out what flavour bean will be! How many of you will find out at 20 week scan?

vallinnapod · 03/02/2011 10:00

Scan in an hour (9 weeks)...ARGH! So excited and nervous about seeing MiniPod again, and crapping myself he/she is no longer there.

Dyna - def finding out sex at 20 weeks if we get that far!

takethatlady · 03/02/2011 10:21

dynababy yes, yes and yes for the aching fanjo business. I basically feel as if I have been riding my bike after a long absence from bike-riding, if that makes sense. I have felt it constantly since about 15 weeks, and some days it's worse than others, and worse if I run. Hard to explain, and seems to have no cause ... doesn't interfere with sex or anything.

Grin for orgasming in your sleep! That's quite an achievement!

takethatlady · 03/02/2011 10:21

PS oh my goodness how could I forget - good luck today vallinna. I had my first scan at 9+3 and they said that the chances of anything going wrong were very very low after that, so fingers crossed yours is as lovely and reassuring as mine was :)

vallinnapod · 03/02/2011 10:38

LOL TTL thanks - not like I keep these things to myself!

Feel like I used to before exams. Nervous and unprepared (even though I was a geek and fully prepared!) apprehensive of the unknown!

Can you take Prozac in pregnancy? Grin

BrassicaBabe · 03/02/2011 11:56

Hmm No sex dreams for me. I'm feeling quite left out Grin However DH and I have only been together 2 years. So I think we're still in the honeymoon period and still getting it regularly. At some point we can have a disuccsion on sex positions while pregnant?! I have googled it! Shock Not sure I'm fancying the "spoons" position. Does nothing for me. Desperately hoping DH doesn't go off my body as it gets bigger Sad

I had a serious question to ask too..... It's quite gone out of my head with all this sex talk! Grin

Boobs still really fecking painful once or twice a week. I walk around/drive with them hanging out of my bra and making sure nothing is touching my nipples. It's the only way to stop the pain!

I hope your scan gave you lots of good pics vallinna. I'm sure everything is fine

vallinnapod · 03/02/2011 12:06

BB I haven't had that sort of pain but I have had this really weird claustrophobia with my bras and anything 'tight' (read: not completely loose fitting!) - to the point were I have literally got home and torn my clothes off before putting on a yoga bra, joggers and a loose t-shirt Blush

Scan great. MiniPod 24.6mm, good heart beat, wriggling. Looks like a proper little alien now rather than a blob That's me done worrying until this arvo Wink

NoMoreChocBiscuits · 03/02/2011 18:03

Grin at your scan Vallinna

Still no sex dreams here, just occasional dreams about alcohol and last night dreamt I was being berated by some strange woman because her dh/bf was the father of my child (wtf?!) and she wanted my full medical history.

Another yes on the achey fanjo here. Esp if I have to stand still for more than a minute. Be careful if it gets really bad as it can be a sypmtom of PSD. When I told my physio I felt like I'd been kicked between the legs when it is bad, she just said everyone says that.

Gosh it's windy here tonight. I hope none of the window's decide to blow in.

Baby2b · 03/02/2011 21:11

Yay for your scan vallinna Grin I have been in my pjs every time I step in the door since Christmas. Debenhams do fab maternity tights, I found tights the worst for the claustrophobic feeling.

Just a quick message as I'm shattered, but add me to the achey fanjo list.

cowboylover · 03/02/2011 21:18

I am glad it went well Vallinnapod! I had a scan on Tuesday at 25 weeks and we had a close up pic of the face which I found really spooky but MIL is now convinced that she has DH's family nose: I had to bite my lip when my head was screaming I hope not!

Nomore: Where are you?
The wind is aweful here and was so strong it made the letter box bang! I am going to hide in bed with DH soon Smile

BrassicaBabe · 04/02/2011 09:05

Yeah for minipod vallinna! I'm glad the scan put your mind at rest. Our own little thread IVF miracle. It's quite cool really!

I'm with you on the pjs thing B2B. I'm not normally one for being in my dressing gown in the evening. But I get to a certain point each evening where clothes just seem to bug me! Grin

Is a bad mood a pg symptom?! I could quite bite DHs head off this week Confused And I'm not even sure why! Grin
