My mum can't believe it will be almost 8 years since she died. I wish she had got to meet her grandchildren and had a Christmas with them , she loved it....

Gosh, how sad for those who have lost children.

Bad enough to lose a parent, but to lose a child is hell.

My baby boy who died in 1982 aged 7 months and my little lad who died in 1992 aged 7 years. Remembering you both with a few smiles and a few tears xxxxx

ChristmasMoon · 23/12/2009 20:18

My dad. He died in January 2007 three months after my DS was born. I never got the chance to take a photo of them both together (due to hospital admissions) and never realised until his funeral. It makes me so sad thinking about it. He was a grumpy old sod but we still loved him and he especially loved the babies.

LittleMontyontheDustyRoad · 23/12/2009 20:24

Both my parents, my little bro who died 5 years ago, and my darling little girl who would be 18 but died at 4 months old just before xmas.

Sorry for everyone's grief.

Could I just say that I firmly believe our lost loved ones are around us all the time, especially at Christmas time. They loved us when they were physically here and we loved them - they would never leave us to walk this crappy path on our own.

My sons are 'around me' all the time - certain music brings them close to me, certain smells, nativity plays at Primary school etc etc etc.

Please never think we are 'alone' - they would not allow that xxx

lizziemun · 23/12/2009 20:41
