My husband has died

He died today. He was 42. He had recently been diagnosed with a heart condition and spent a month in hospital but we believed he was going to be okay. He went upstairs for a rest and they think he had a heart attack. He didn't cry out, they think it would have been fairly instant. I found him when I went to check on him a few hours later and I knew he had gone, I did CPR but I knew it was too late.

He was my soul mate, my other half, the true love of my life. We have a little girl who is almost 3. If it wasn't for her I would kill myself. I can't imagine life ever having any meaning without him.

I posted earlier this week. My husband died on Friday, we had been together for over 25 years and he was my soulmate, my everything, so I know exactly how you feel. I am struggling so much and I wish I was with him as I can’t bear the thought of carrying on living without him. However, I have to stay strong for my family, I have to carry on for my children. I need to put them first and continue living for them, just as you need to keep on living for your daughter. 💔💐

Oh god i am so sorry for your sudden loss, please have a virtual hug from another widow. I remember your previous hospital thread. It is ubershit and unbelievable but you will get through these dark days eventually believe me. Talk to your lovely Mike as if he was in the room with you. Tell us about him if you like. Take all the help that is offered and try to eat/hydrate/sleep if you can.

I am so, truly sorry for your loss. I really hope your family and friends can give you and your daughter the support you need over the next coming months. Please do keep posting on here too, don’t bottle your grief up.

There is a group called Way (widowed and Young I think) that helped a friend of mine enormously in your situation and continues to do so.
