My mum died today

It was expected, massively beyond her prognosis.
I am ok sorting big stuff but also irrationally cross with small stuff.
We ended up going out for lunch as dad wanted that. A couple of relatives plus me, dad and my bro.
Bro is wealthy and has taken a back seat for most of mum's 40 year illness. He sat there and just expected me to order, carry drinks and pay for everyone
Why am I so cross about this trivia? My mum just died.

So sorry for your loss Twinkly 💐

I've seen this happen a lot, it's almost as if the big stuff is too much to process so the small stuff is easier to focus on. A lot of families go through strange tensions during grief, I think it's totally normal. Give yourself (and possibly ur brother but I've no idea) a break. You're all hurting & dealing with it all in your own ways x

On the anniversary of her death I talked to my brother to see if he was ok - but he hadn't e en remembered - just said "oh yes - I was in Bordeaux a year ago wasn't I"
Brothers can be crap!! Flowers

I'm very sorry for your loss Twinkly.
There's no right or wrong to anything you are doing or feeling at the moment. It's just a case of putting one foot in front of the other and do what you can. Huge hugs to you.

Sorry for your loss, Twinkly.

It is the mundane that finds us out, because that's what we'll be doing every day, long after the immediate pain and grief and busy-ness subside. Sorry your brother not stepping up.

Thanks
