Anniversary day today...

Don't know if anyone is there, but I just wanted to right down this. It's the due date today of my first baby I m/carried. Just wanted to mark it somewhere. Going to go home early today and have a nice afternoon in the garden thinking about it. I was 15 weeks and had thought all was going to be ok but it wasn't. Thinking of everyone on here who has miscarried. One more due date to deal with in Mrach and that should be the first hurdle over with.
LOL to all xxxxxxx

Saw this thread yesterday but am a bit rubbish at putting in writing sympathy. Your day sounds lovely, best wishes to you and family.

CnR · 18/09/2003 10:30

I am glad to hear that your day went well.

quackers and Lewei, thinking of you both, and your lost babies. I know how awful these anniversaries can be.

bunny2 · 18/09/2003 19:38

Quackers, sorry I'm a day late but my thought are with you. You too Lewei. It's a significant anniversary and I'm glad you found a way to mark it in your own way. Hugs BunnyXXX

morocco · 18/09/2003 19:59

love to you and your family quackers. A big cyber hug to everyone else who has been through this too.

bossykate · 18/09/2003 20:02

quackers and lewei, so sorry...

Rhubarb · 19/09/2003 09:42

Hugs to both of you. I have never been in this situation so I can only guess at how hard it must be for both of you. I just hope the passing of time makes you both stronger.

doormat · 19/09/2003 09:51

oh quackers hugs coming your way.
On the anniversary days I just quietly contemplate to myself what could of been.

quackers · 19/09/2003 13:48

Thankyou all for your messages.
Could I make this thread possibly a place for anyone to mark their special dates and share them if they feel the need.

Thats a lovely idea.it would be lovely if there was a thread where people could post there special dates,as i'm sure it would help everybody just so they feel they have marked the day just how you felt you had to. I lost two babies one stillborn and one early prem. dates stillborn baby boy 4th february 2001 and prem baby girl 4th september 2001,it's also nice that you can post due dates and those who lost later babies who had funerals can post that date as thats another day in mind. best wishes to everyone that has lost a baby including miscarriage as you have lost your baby to,even if you didn't see your baby you were carrying a baby.

CountessDracula · 19/09/2003 23:18

Quackers, hope your afternoon was ok and that you are not feeling too bad. Good idea to mark the day, my elder brother was stillborn and my Mum still marks the day 39 years later. Big hugs xx

bebop · 20/09/2003 00:22

Hi Q, I,m glad to hear things went so calmly, your hubby sounds tuned in to your feelings. Keep smiling. : ) LOL XX

caydeb · 21/09/2003 06:08

I haven't checked in with these threads for about a month and unfortunately I had a m/c and felt I couldn't face all here, have been coping fairly well until today and now can't stop crying, dont know if keep getting the when r u gonna get pregnant again speech from all my co-workers as my son is 2 this week that is really bothering me or what. quackers thanks for this thread you always seem to be around when I need a voice to listen to

janh · 24/09/2003 10:31

There's a lovely piece in the Guardian today by somebody who has 2 children but had 3 miscarriages in between - here - the last two sentences are very touching.

Enid · 24/09/2003 10:42

I cried when I read that article. Made me realise how my longing for a third child is somehow all bound up with my m/c.

goodness, you can tell from my posts today I am pre-menstrual

lazyeye · 24/09/2003 10:56

I had a m/c in July & I feel exactly like that - like I'm not allowed to mourn it because it was so quickly after the birth of my son (who was 8mths and his brother is only (almost)3). I feel like I'm expected to very much 'get over ' it.

Gosh, I wasn't meaning pple here on MN - just sort of in general, or maybe I'm being harsh because in reality, most pple don't even know about it! However, I would have to say my close family have a tendancy to brush it under the old carpet.

Quackers - lots of love to you & glad you had at least some nice things on that day last week.

janh, that's a lovely article, thanks for the link (I didn't get a newspaper today so would have missed it). The last two lines are so true, they made me cry. This Friday is the third anniversary of my miscarriage, and even though I've gone on to have my lovely ds2, I will never forget that little one I lost, and wonder what s/he would have been like.

(((hugs))) to everyone on their anniversaries.

LEWEI · 04/10/2003 21:33

Hi everyone, just wanted to tell you all that my second baby's due date has just passed (mc at eight weeks). With ds's first anniversary on the 15th and the 2nd due date on the 29th, september has been a very sad month for us.
Good wishes to all on this thread.

candy · 04/10/2003 21:38

Big hugs Lewei - I hope this month is a happier one for you.

Bogwoppit · 04/10/2003 21:41

hugs lewei.
