travellingwilbury · 28/02/2011 08:17

Good luck ppm , will be thinking of you today . I keep typing stuff out but it all sounds a wee bit patronising so I will stick with good luck Grin

peterpansmum · 28/02/2011 08:38

thanks TW xx hows u today?
Its a bit weird to think that one of the only reasons i am where i am today is cos of gregor dying... HE has inspired me to do what i will do today and shab's Matt's phrase of grabbing life by the balls and shaking it feels very appropriate today in particular xxx

shelleylou · 28/02/2011 08:49

Thank you ppm. Good luck today im sure you'll do fabulously...
The nervous anticipation is spreading today then lol. I'm sitting waiting for ds to be collected later.. a lot earlier than the actual funeral. We are going as part of the procession we wanted to give him the biggest send off we could. Card has been dropped of at florist... I'm also waiting for a call back from the doctors ds has chicken pox and i've never had it so quite worried atm just not letting on how worried i am lol.Life deffinitely needs grabbing by the balls and shaking its far too short to do anything else with.

shabbapinkfrog · 28/02/2011 09:09

I just roared with laughter and nearly spit my brew over the keyboard.

I'm sure Gregor will be with you and will be so very proud of you xx

Just off to grab those balls and shake them Blush xx

Afternoon. Not so bad today, I'm finding the ups and downs the worst thing at the moment, it really throws me at times.

ppm good luck. shelley hope ds is ok, chicken pox isn't nice and also hope the dr was reassuring for you.

peterpansmum · 28/02/2011 17:37

Wow what an amazing day... Had several speakers who were incredible but the highlights for me were Simon Weston and Gok Wan... They were truly inspirational. The silent tears were rolling down my cheeks while Simon was talking about his feelings of worthlessness when his boss told him he was useless... I didn't feel at all anxious walking into a room full of hundreds of people... Which was a huge deal for me!! Just sat down on the train en route back up north xx

shabbapinkfrog · 28/02/2011 18:01

Oh PPM - I am so envious - I really love Simon Weston. I bought his autobiography many years ago and sobbed through most of it. He is wonderful. xx

peterpansmum · 28/02/2011 18:27

After today, his autobiog is def on my list of things to do!!! xx

shabbapinkfrog · 28/02/2011 18:45

I have read it, I reckon, about 100 times. I find myself reading it in a Welsh accent LOL Grin It is very good. Loved hearing about his childhood and then his struggle to survive. Would so love to meet him xx

travellingwilbury · 28/02/2011 19:12

Congratulations to Shelley and Mini, lovely news Grin

Welcome to our thread Cheese, I'm now going to read the thread and we can have a proper 'hello' chat later.

Caz - your time will come. Have hope xxx

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 28/02/2011 20:24

Oh, and what I actually came on here for is to post a couple of quotes that I read in my book this afternoon. I really identified with them and thought of everyone on here when I read them.

'The death of a child is a single event, but the memory of it expands to cover a lifetime.'

'Amidst the ceaseless flow of clouds, I saw that Adam's death had taken away my terror of death; nothing worse could ever happen to me.'

Love to you all xxx

peterpansmum · 28/02/2011 21:55

holy shit u guys got me blubbing on the train now... Thank u sooooo so much... My wee man lives on in all those who remember him... Whether they knew him or not.... Totally loving the daffs St Davids St Davids St Davids St Davids ....wonder if the techies could do sunflowers for the summer if i asked them nicely!? Xxxxx

CazandBelle · 28/02/2011 22:06

it is so very early, so I cannot get excited yet, but we're very happy. Don't think its sunk in yet and definitely doesn't feel real. Hospital already booked me in for an early scan on 22nd March. I cannot think beyond then. If you pray please pray that little baby stays safe and we have good news at this scan. Ironically 22nd march is the day we found out belle was a girl last year. Spooky its the same day to see this one this year.

Ooo loving the St Davids Day daffs! St Davids :) Will be wearing red tomorrow for our day!

shabbapinkfrog · 28/02/2011 22:45

Oh my word Caz.....I dont normally pray BUT I will ask Matty and Gareth to look after all of you, I know that they will. I hope with every part of me that everything goes very very well for you. Grin so wonderful xxxxxx

Just watching 'One born every minute" and wishing I wasn't but cant turn it off!!

right I am sorry but I am going to have a rant

Why is sassy still being hounded..

she locked down her facebook page completely ages ago, according to someone else catherin's obituary has been taken off line and now she has hidden her blog from general view

This is not someone who is looking for attention this is someone who is sick of everyone picking over her grief and taking great pleasure in saying things like.. she uses long sentences she cant be bereaved

people are entitled to their opinion and if they dont want to believe her fine but ffs she hasnt been here for months and deserves to be left alone to cope with her grief and her new pregnancy

I am not brave enough to post it on the other thread...

sorry rant over - as you were
