toddler average shoe size..........

Had DD's feet measured today, was a bit shocked to find her feet are size 9 (she is 2 and a half). They seem to have grown one and a half sizes in about 5 months! And it was the Clarks machine, so i would imagine that you can't get an erroneous measurement on this?

Will anybody share their toddlers feet sizes with me, so i know whether this is average or I am going to be buying very large shoes in the future!

my little boy is 4 1/2, he is size 11 i went to clarks to get him mesured it said 12 1/2 , that was way too big.

Supercherry · 07/08/2009 07:55

18mth DS is a size 4.5

4.5yr old nephew is a 9.5, but has been this size since he was 3ish I think, so he had huge feet but they have stopped growing the last year or so.

feedthegoat · 07/08/2009 07:58

My ds is 3.9 and is in size 10 for shoes but needs an 11 in trainers. They look huge! But he is tall too.

OnlyWantsOne · 07/08/2009 08:03

My DD is 2+10 and has size 9e feet and she is very tall x

george11 · 07/08/2009 16:25

Feeling relived now! DD is also 2.5 and has just been measured as a Clarks 9. She has always had big feet though, even as a newborn she filled the foot part of her babygro. Both her dad and I are tall so I guess thats why. DS however is age 7 and just gone into a 1.

Koumak · 07/08/2009 16:35

Ds is 4yrs and half and still only size 9! We always had comments how small his feet are since he was a baby. And to be honest I too always thought he had small feet for his age and being bloke!

Horton · 07/08/2009 17:07

DD is nearly three and in size 5.5. She always gets comments about how tiny and narrow her feet are at the shoe shop. I hope they grow a bit, actually, as my sister is a very narrow adult size 3 and finds it hard to get nice shoes. She's probably a little shorter than average.

shootfromthehip · 07/08/2009 17:14

I had exactly the same issue the other day. Took DS to get his feet measured and he was also a size 9 (2.6yrs). He was wearing a 7.5 so I had to buy him a pair to wear home . I was mortified. He is enormous for 2.6 though. DD is 5 and and 11.5.

wilkos · 07/08/2009 17:18

Chaotica · 08/08/2009 00:03

DD is 3.3 and shoe size 11.5 She's going to be tall... (She had sort of average feet until 2.6 and then she just started growing very fast - suddenly went up to 10 from 7.5)

bigdonna · 08/08/2009 21:18

pranma · 09/08/2009 18:21

dgs is 2.10 size 6and a half

chuckeyegg · 10/08/2009 11:26

My D.S is 2.8 and in size 9.5G. I don't think he will be as short as DH. Either that or he will be short with massive feet!

mummytowillow · 10/08/2009 22:39

DD aged 2 and is a little 4E, have a nightmare finding shoes for her, but she is a little dot!

Bibmother · 12/08/2009 21:18

My 3.5yr old was measured as a 6.5I!! at Clarks the other week (he has a high instep) so he's wearing a 7H but his 20m yr old brother is wearing 5G so he'll probably overtake him soon. Does anyone else have a child with hugely wide feet and does it get any better as they get older? We're qutie lucky as we have an independent shoe shop nearby that does Ricosta shoes which are naturally very wide but I wonder how difficult it's going be to get shoes for him when he's older!

Sawyer64 · 12/08/2009 21:25

DD1 5.1 size 11.5 DD2 2.10 size 7.
