lulumama · 12/04/2008 19:06

dizzydixies · 12/04/2008 19:08

silly cow

sorry to speak so ill of your family but what if the house had gone on fire or he'd hurt himself

WigWamBam · 12/04/2008 19:08

Is this for real?

And if it is, do you intend to do anything about it? Because that is neglect.

lulumama · 12/04/2008 19:08

if anything happened to the child when she was gone, she would be in serious trouble with the law.

sad that a 5 year old could sit and play for 3 hours on a wii and not miss his parents

what if he fell and banged his head? suddenly felt unwell? was hungry ?

farking stupid and irresponsible behaviour

Ploufplouf · 12/04/2008 19:08

And to makes things worst the "local" supermarket is 16 km away from their house, they live in the countryside

RubySlippers · 12/04/2008 19:09

i am with WWB - this is really serious stuff

BibiThree · 12/04/2008 19:10

That is disgusting. Anyting could have happened, thankfully it didn't, but oh my god

windygalestoday · 12/04/2008 19:10

thats pretty bad imo

Ploufplouf · 12/04/2008 19:11

You can speak ill about my sil, I dont mind, in this case, she has been a complete idiote. She's absolutely useless with her children. She has 3, one is 7, middle one is 5 and the baby as she call him is almost 3. They are total bratt and they do almost whatever they want to do.

OP posts:
lulumama · 12/04/2008 19:12

brats or not, she is risking their lives and her own liberty

am not surprised they play up, if they don;t have to do anything they don;t want to

Ploufplouf · 12/04/2008 19:14

But leaving her 5 years old son behind because she didnt want to face a tantrum is just unbelievable...sorry for the rant, I dont usually rant about my family but what she has done is beyond everything

OP posts:
lulumama · 12/04/2008 19:16

if she was my SIL, i would be considering anonymous call to Social services, could not forgive myself if something happend... does her DH know she does this?

i am really, geniuinley shocked!

DS is 8.6 and i would not leave him alone in the house yet.

Ploufplouf · 12/04/2008 19:16

I didnt dare asking her if she was doing it often..she says she just has to leave him with the wii and he's ok.

OP posts:
WallOfSilence · 12/04/2008 19:17

Yes we all agree on that ploufplouf, the question is: What are you going to do about it?

Ploufplouf · 12/04/2008 19:18

I dont know if my brother knows about it, he was not there when she told me..they are in France so I dont know how the law is towards parents leaving their children to look after themselves for a while

OP posts:
WallOfSilence · 12/04/2008 19:18

You didn't dare ask her..... right.

You do realise this is a serious matter? I have a 6yr old & there's no way I would leave her for 30mins alone, never mind all morning.

It doesn't bear thinking about.

Ploufplouf · 12/04/2008 19:19

What can I do ? I'm in England and they are in France..I cant do that to my brother, can I ? I dont even know if he knows.
