NAB3littleMonkeys - How are things going? Is the marble jar going to be full?

Keep wondering if things have improved.

I think they have here.

NAB3littlemonkeys · 07/12/2007 17:20

It's not even half full at the moment though I do owe DD 2 marbles for today.

I am v stressed atm. Was expecting DH home by now but will be another hour at least. I am a bad wife though as he is at a wake.

Hahahahahahaha!!! Not just me then. My bin has received some lovely foods over the last 4 years and now I think that I may as well not make myself anything and just hang about and see whats left. I eat very well now. DD (4) better than DS (3) but both can be little bastards when they want to (ie most of the time). Tonight they have had beans and sausages on toast as I am going on my one and only xmas night out with the playground ladies and am I attempting eyeliner at the same time as yoghurts and MNng. Multi tasking and cant be bothered with cooking today just to chuck it in bin.

Oh, sorry NAB. The minutes pass so slowly when you're clock watching for their return. My DH gets it in the neck if he's later than usual . I forget that he doesn't actually like being stuck in traffic/held up at work. But then again, they don't realise how bad being at home with DCs can sometimes be.

Monkeybutler - enjoy your night off! I agree re cooking and throwing it. I've even suggested to DS that I just take the food out of the 'fridge and put it straight in the bin, to save me the farce of cooking it. I admit, I now give them beans on toast far too often; better that they eat something rather than nothing!

at BEST LEADER!

Oh thank you all so much for these comments!

I have been feeling really fed up with my DS over the last few months with similar issues, particularly the stubbornness and hysterics over the most trivial things (like not being able to find a buffer, lol)

So nice to know you're not alone, and to put their behaviour in perspective by having a chuckle at their expense. With some distance (about 100 miles) from the situations, they can be quite funny

MrsCellophaneWrappedGift · 09/12/2007 16:59

Maybe not being able to find a buffer is more traumatising than we think, whatwho?! Mine goes hysterical over exactly the same thing... before just asking for help!
