I prefer to use the horsewhip on mine.

SweetyDarling · 05/07/2007 14:50

No, we just beat the children but blame the nanny!

Marina · 05/07/2007 14:50

Or get the staff to do the beating meggle.
Our tweenie does all the rugs and tans our children's hides every Tuesday morning

fullyqualifiedbollockogist · 05/07/2007 14:54

I smack my kids and I am fully qualified

JodieG1 · 05/07/2007 14:54

I'm working class and don't smack. I don't think it's anything to do with class though as plenty of middle class seem to think it's ok.

Peachy · 05/07/2007 14:55

IS reton school a posh one then Cod? I thought Eton was the pinnacle?

The MC ones leave it to their staff they wouldn't sirty their hands themselves

I suspect the WC admit it more often. And there probably are sociological explanations such as most MC famillies have 2 working parents (am looking at the very poor end of wc here) so are not around as much and are able to facillitate other methods, access support or just have lower stress levels

but mostly i think they just keep quiet

Not all working class people are like that just as not all middle class are the way I've heard them described.

mylastrolo · 05/07/2007 15:01

And if the working classes do smack!! what do others do smile politely whilst their spoilt brat won't get off the slide/swing thingy that other kids are lining up for!!! I tell you the arrogance of some people, don't get me started.

Peachy · 05/07/2007 15:01

(tp which the appropriate answer is undoubtedly not hank you maman, but a frut shoot would go down a right treat)
