kitchen cupboards?
under lots of toys?
is she denying all knowledge?

PinkTulips · 24/06/2006 16:36

washing machine?

sugarfree · 24/06/2006 16:36

I'll presume you've gone round the house at her height(hands and knees)?
Bin?
Fridge?
Letterbox?
Toy box?
Cooker?

zippy539 · 24/06/2006 16:36

In their bed?

southeastastra · 24/06/2006 16:37

they will be in the last place you look

Miaou · 24/06/2006 16:40

under pillow
wrapped in a blanket
cats/dogs bed
pushed them out the cat flap
tumble drier
washing basket

Marne · 24/06/2006 16:40

She's just saying 'i dont know where shoes are mummy', she has been looking for them.

I have looked with the other shoes (we keep all her shoes in a box)

Have looked behind the soffa, outside in her toy box, under the table and in the washing machine.

Still cant find them, Dh said he has'nt seen them since wednesday. Lets hope she has'nt put them in the bin or they will be gone.

Hate to say it but if anything goes missing in our house we usually find it's been posted into the bin by a chubby little hand.

Give her something to play with, and ask her to put it somewhere very, very safe so daddy can't find it. Then watch her like a hawk. Worth a go.

TinyGang · 24/06/2006 17:48

Stuffed into a pink handbag? My dd (and ds)loves collecting stuf in little bags and boxes and dolly's pushchairs.

misdee · 24/06/2006 17:49

toilet.

biglips · 24/06/2006 17:50

back in the shoe box or under the cupboard stairs

southeastastra · 24/06/2006 17:58

say 'st anthony return to me' and they will magically reappear

TinyGang · 24/06/2006 20:32

I'll have to remember that one southeastastra.

If I say it though will I be in danger of being buried for life under a mountain of stuff that's gone missing round here due to curious little magpies (ie my children)?

Things only magically re-appear once I've torn my hair out and gone mad looking, then given up and bought another one

Enid · 24/06/2006 20:36

lol

dd1 did this a few years ago

they were in a big vase - discovered about 3 months after buying a new pair

Mercy · 24/06/2006 20:43

I have found shoes in the pockets of my coat/jacket.

Do you have a garden? I often find sandals and wellies out there

Beauregard · 24/06/2006 20:47

Have you checked the feet of all her teddy bears?
Dd1 once 'lost' her new shoes for a whole month, until after weeks of searching i found them on a bloody bears paws!

bluebear · 24/06/2006 20:56

In the shopping basket under the buggy? - well that's where dd hid hers.

FrayedKnot · 24/06/2006 20:59

DS hides things in drawers a lot at the moment.
