... are/were they breast or bottle-fed at the time?

Dh has a theory that breastfeeding delays teeth so I'm wondering if he is correct.

So:

dd1 - first tooth at 7 months, bottlefed from 6 months

dd2 - first tooth at 6 months, bottlefed from 2 months

ds - 9 months, no teeth yet, breastfed

Add your details and I'll work out the stats!!

think I'm going to be the first to prove your dh wrong!
ds1: first tooth at 6 months, breastfed
ds2: first tooth at 6 months, breastfed
ds3: first tooth at 7 months, breastfed

My ds got his first tooth at 14 weeks! He was breast fed to begin with but bottle fed from 10 weeks.

ds1 - first and second tooth, same day, at 4 months, breastfed

ds2 - first tooth at 6 months, breastfed

Sorry to contradict your dh ! ds just before 5 months, dd at 5 months, both breastfed !

dd - 11 months bottlefed
ds - 10.5 months also bottle

I think its genetic as I was also later

ds 1st tooth at 6.5months and he was breast at first then bottle from about 4 weeks

going to proveyour dh wrong here too. It just depends on the baby.

ds1 - 14 months - breastfed

ds2 - started teethig at 2wks, 1st teeth showing at 4 months

Ds is breastfed and got his first at 6months. My friend's dd was 1 befroe she cut any, and was breastfed.

DS was breastfed and first two teeth came in at 14 or 15 weeks.

Just cos ds's teeth are so much slower at coming through than the dd's - they have been "almost" through for months but still not through yet! The dds came through round about 6 months and they were both on bottles then. They came through fairly promptly too.

Idle speculation on our part really!

ds1 first tooth at 12 months, breastfed til 11.5 months
ds2 first tooth at 12.5 months, breastfed til about 8 months

DD nearly 11m - no teeth - breastfed (1 bottle per day since 4m, just to confuse matters!)

DD first tooth, exactly 6 months, bottle fed from 2 months after breastfeeding for first 2.

Eldest at 13 months, stopped bf at 3 months

2nd at 8 months, still bf at just over 11 months.

Well it would seem that way....

DS is 10 months & hs no teeth yet although I can see 1 is on the way. I am still b/feeding. A very considerate boy!!

DS - first tooth at around 7 months, breastfed.

DD - still gummy at nearly 7.5 months - breastfed/

Mine were all fully breastfed and they each got their first tooth around the 9 month mark

ds is 7 months. been teething since 3 and a half months. no show yet! and he's bf!
my mum says today that the longer it takes for the teeth to come in, the stronger they are!?!
anyone heard that one?
