What shoe size does your toddler have?

My daughter got her first shoes at 16 months and was measured a 4f. She is now nearly 21 months and a 5f. Just wondering how fast toddlers' feet grow?!

First shoes at about 11 months, s3. Around 15/16 months s4. 19 months s5, still in those at 23 months.

I think a pair of shoes should last approx 10-12 weeks, but each child is different and won't always grow at a steady rate.

BreeVanDerTramp · 16/02/2012 19:12

First pair 12 months 4.5 third pair yesterday at 17 months size 5.5 and 4.1 year old size 9.5, a trip to Clarks is never pain free with my boys Wink

She got her second pair just before xmas and it is now a 4f.

DD1 also got a decent amount of wear out of her shoes too. She has been a 7.5f since June and is 3.6 yrs.

PriscillaQueenOfTheDesert · 16/02/2012 19:47

Ds1's first shoes where a 5 at 15months. He's now 2.10yrs and in a size 10.

Ds2's first shoes at 14months where a 4 but he's in a 5 now at 17months.

MrsSnaplegs · 16/02/2012 19:52

Blush DS size 4.5g at 12 months size 5.5g at 13 months about to get him remeasured at end of month (will be nearly 15mo) suspect it will be a 6
DD was the same and now at 6 has slowed down to 1 shoe size a year and is currently In a 13
Hoping their feet stop growing quite so much soonSmile

BikeRunSki · 16/02/2012 19:52

First shoes at 15 months, 6 weeks after he started walking, 4.5F, then about half a size every three months, until he was about 2.5, then slowed down to about a half size every 6 months. Except, when he was about 20 months old and went from a 5.5 to a 7 in 6 weeks.

flossymuldoon · 16/02/2012 19:52

My DS. 4.5G at 17 months, 5.5G at 20 months, 6.5F at 23 months. He is now 2.5 and his feet haven't at all grown in 6 months.

jubilee10 · 16/02/2012 19:53

Ds3 (5.7) was a size 9 for more than a year he is now a size 10. He is average height!

tanfastic · 16/02/2012 19:53

first1 · 16/02/2012 19:57

DD is nearly 21mo too

She got her first pair (early walker) just before her birthday, size 3.5.

Second pair, 5 weeks later, size 4.

Another pair in September, 4.5E (first pair of clarks).

She's just had her fourth pair a month ago, 5.5. And they're getting tight already.

All feet and no body, my DD Grin. She's only just in 12-18 month clothes. And has stupidly narrow ankles, so Clarks shoes can be pulled off her feet while done up. I have to go to an independent shop that sells French shoes, which seem to fit her the best, even though she grows out of them really quickly.

antarctic · 16/02/2012 20:53

DS2 is 2.4 and size 7

Lastofthepodpeople · 16/02/2012 20:57

DS is 20 months and been in size 9s for six weeks but I think its almost time for another size up. He is very tall though.

ImpOfThePerverse · 16/02/2012 21:03

DS1 got his first pair of shoes at 17 months, they were size 5. He was measured regularly and was still size 5 until the summer, when he wore sandals, so I wasn't too bothered about exact fitting. He finally got size 6 shoes when he was 2.4, I think it's more likely that his feet were mis-measured to begin with rather than not growing for nearly a year!

inmysparetime · 16/02/2012 21:11

DS has tiny feet, started out in size 2 then went up a size a couple of times a year, he's now 10yo and a size 13 1/2.
I work in a nursery though, and generally 1-2 year olds are about size 4-6, 2-3 year olds are about size 5-8, and 3-4 year olds are size 6-10.

ahhhhhpushit · 16/02/2012 21:13

DS first shoes at 9m (early walker!) - 4H. Now 15 months and a 6H.

AWimbaWay · 16/02/2012 21:20

My dcs all have tiny slow growing feet, their shoes normally wear out before they grow out of them. Dd was 2.5f at 12 months, she is now 16 months and still 2.5f. My ds stayed a size 6 for 2 years!

fullofregrets · 16/02/2012 23:16

DS is 2.8 and is in a 10.5G. It has been nearly twelve weeks since last fitting so fear in my heart he may soon require new shoes. I have to go to Clarks because his feet are so fat and his instep is so high that they don't fit into regular shoes.

mrscumberbatch · 16/02/2012 23:17

My 2 year old dd is a 9. She is v v tall. But I'm worried about her being a bigfoot!

first1 · 16/02/2012 23:25

How tall is she mrscumberbatch? My dd is on the 91st centime but at 21 months is a size 5f, I'm beginning to think she's got disproportionate feet!
