im just being nosey of what is your 15 mths old is like

as mine is so affection, cuddly, very social (cant shut her up at all! ), very noisy, and quite independence too, had got abit of a tantrum esp when she is tired and also when i dont want her to play something eg a cable wire!, loves her dollies and her books, can be abit aware of people but once she warms up to them she is fine (she loves men!)

You could have been describing my 15 month old then!! She loves cuddles, when shes not too busy exploring everywhere. Talks absolute rubbish (think she may be half Kurdish actually!!)

Has tantrums when she cant get her own way, has a fantastic temper. Loves people, especially men!! (Dont know where she gets that from!)

Her favorite toy at the moment is her aquadraw, she loves scribbling, any book, and her doll which she calls Baba.

Isnt this a fantastic age?

Auntybrandybutter · 02/01/2006 10:05

What size clothes are your LOs in? DD is only just fitting 12-18, I have to roll her trousers up.

Auntybrandybutter · 02/01/2006 10:09

I think its his way of showing me affection!!!
Covered in bruises!!
I ish I had done sign language, I think all children should learn it!

biglips · 02/01/2006 10:13

mine is in age 1.5 - 2 yrs old and her feet are 2 yrs old too as she is the same height as a 2 yr old since she turned 1

ds is in 12 to 18 bit long in the leg but tight round his pot belly!!

natmeistergeneral · 02/01/2006 10:31

my dd just turned 16 months yesterday and agree that this is a gorgeous age! Was intrigued by this aquadraw-what is it?

welshboris · 02/01/2006 10:32

Its a big piece of plastic, with 2 pens which you fill with water.

They can scribble to their hearts content with no mess, when the water dries the scribbles disappear

natmeistergeneral · 02/01/2006 10:38

thanks welshboris it does sound a lot of fun and right up her street-where do you get them from?

biglips · 02/01/2006 10:38

yes its really good too

does anyones baba seems to copy nearly everything you say? as if i say "Thank you", she say it back.. so cute!

Auntybrandybutter · 02/01/2006 10:40

Ds copies sounds yes!!
Aquadrwa from Asda woolworths etc

welshboris · 02/01/2006 10:42

Toys R Us I got mine, but they do them in John Lewis aswell I think

Yeah biglips, DD says a lot of words that I can understand now. When she stands on her chair, she says "down" before I do, cheeky monkey.

She calls my brother aswell "Ash" he thinks thats fantastic. Nana, Bumpa, Daddy, tree and other at the moment.

But her most used has to be NO!!

biglips · 02/01/2006 10:44

dd is calling everyone "DADDY!!" inc me .. she used to say my name but not direct to me and now she doesnt say it at all... but calls me DADDY!

I agree 15months is a fantastic age. DS2 is there now and talk about energetic! Always exploring (vandalising) something, testing boundaries (grinning like hell when I say no and doing to anyway), copying the noises I make for animals etc, dragging me around the house to point at the things he wants (juice, biscuits), it's so entertaining and lovely, oh, and if you say "give me a kiss" he runs up gob open and slavers all over me in his gorgeous attempt at a kiss.......ahhh, makes me want another....

welshboris · 02/01/2006 10:49

DD kisses everyone!! When I ask her for one, she giggles NO and runs off!!

Doesnt make me want another though, I could never cope with a newborn now aswell as DD, those who do need medals

Pfer · 02/01/2006 10:57

Ok, I've thought about it, with DS1(4on friday) and DS2 I think another would be a it much. Both are a hanful and the house is never quiet unless they're both asleep. I love them

natmeistergeneral · 02/01/2006 11:01

mine is a real little chatter box too-bless! how ars your little cherubs with sleeping and toothbrushing!!

welshboris · 02/01/2006 11:01

Ive split with her dad (again) so I couldnt cope with another at the moment. Would love another when I settle down with someone I love though.

Think DD would really enjoy a brother or sister

Auntybrandybutter · 02/01/2006 11:03

love brushing his teeth. Sleeps well but wakes early!!!
Always want more!!
But now I am 40 (aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh) think I have to stop!!!

Pfer · 02/01/2006 11:10

sleeps reasonably ok, though wakes up for the morning at about 4am gaahhhhhh.
burshing teeth is ok, he just leans back and lets me get on with it.

welshboris · 02/01/2006 11:12

Loves the taste of toothpaste, tries to brush her Babas teeth

Has slept 7-7 since I stopped the last BF at night, when she was 1.

Eats great somedays, other days manages on a bit of cheese and buckets of juice

Pfer · 02/01/2006 11:16

Welsh - same here on the food front. DS loves fromage frais and will eat a couple of those plus stacks of fruit one day plus his wheatabix/readybrek for breakfast, then other days you struggle to get much at all in him.

Anyone else's seem to be a self induced vegetarian? Mine is, won't touch anything meaty or meat based.
