im just being nosey of what is your 15 mths old is like

as mine is so affection, cuddly, very social (cant shut her up at all! ), very noisy, and quite independence too, had got abit of a tantrum esp when she is tired and also when i dont want her to play something eg a cable wire!, loves her dollies and her books, can be abit aware of people but once she warms up to them she is fine (she loves men!)

DD loves chicken, but thats about it. Given up on yougurts recently as she wants to feed herself, and you can imagine the mess

Pfer · 02/01/2006 11:27

welshboris . We have a few yoghurty moments here ourselves.

DS won't touch any meat but that's about all DS1 will eat. Wierd. A carnivore and a herbivore. Why can't they both be omnivores?

NotQuiteCockney · 02/01/2006 11:43

My DS2 has just turned 15 months. Not really talking, but babbling loads. (Well, he's working on words for "boob" "up" "cheese", and the ever popular "mumumumumum".)

He's mad for scribbling, DS1 has a drawing board that DS2 will sit down with for ages.

Oh, and he eats almost everything. Loves meat. Loves chicken. But will refuse things randomly, too. Never says no to a banana or some cheese.

NotQuiteCockney · 02/01/2006 11:51

What is everyone else doing about bad behaviour, by the way? DS2 does some biting, although I think he might be trying to kiss. (He caught one of DS1's friends the other day ... who is very good with him, and was good about being bitten, but still ...)

DS2 also likes to hit, particularly with things. And throw things. It seems to be mostly directed at me, but I've forgotten how I dealt with this the first time around ...

When a four-year-old throws a Rubik's cube at your head, you know he means it, but DS2 doesn't really know, does he ...

Pfer · 02/01/2006 11:53

NQC - ouch to the Rubiks cube!

DS2 can be quite feisty with his little hands and slapping - but he always does it with a smile, bless him.

I just say no, and not make a big deal as if I do he starts laughing and does it all the more. No ouching or flinching, just no then move out of reach. Doesn't work though .

mine luurrveesss pasta esp spaghetti bol as she is very goo sucking on the speghetti , loves fish and vegs esp brocolli

sleeping wise - she start sleeping thru from 8 weeks old so i do have the odd nite where she wakes up - esp when her molars teeth are comin thru atm!

baba had got a half sister who is nearly 7, and whenever im at a playgroup and she sees another girl that looks like her sister, she get all excited as she dearly loves her sister.

i noticed with mine that if i shout at her, she grabs it and runs off but if i dont shout at her, she just looks! - hmmmm!

everyone says that she is gonna be a DJ as she loves music and going on the kaoroke machine

Yeah, that's the sort of approach I'm taking, Pfer. And yeah, it's not working.

I guess I'm trying to not make hitting me fun, and waiting for empathy to develop. DS1 went through this phase too, and he really really isn't a violent kid. When he (rarely) hits or kicks me, he certainly doesn't do it hard.

biglips · 02/01/2006 11:59

BUT she let me feed her with her yoghurts as thats the only time i feed her, everything else is mostly finger foods and sometimes spoon

Oh, and DS2 sleeps well at night, but not in the day. 7-7 at night, pretty much, sometimes a bit more. But anything from 45 minutes to 2h15m in the day.

biglips · 02/01/2006 12:01

baba have 1.5 - 2 nap in the afternoons

OP posts:
welshboris · 02/01/2006 12:05

DD only has 20 mins nap in the morning, then is ready for bed at 7

Also loves pasta, and feeds herself everything, I just put a splash mat down and strip her off at meal times at home.

Doesnt hit or bite, takes her temper out by kicking things and storming off though

Auntybrandybutter · 02/01/2006 13:49

Ds eats everything..including quality streets in their wrappers!!!!(big bruv left them out)
doesnt really misbehave other than biting!!
He and ds3 sometimes fight..its so funny!!!
He is the happiest baby I have ever come across and as he is no 5 thats saying something!

I have enjoyed reading about all your lovely babes. My DS is just 15 months. He has a few words, ta, mama, dada, he-ah(here you are), cheers. He can walk around the furniture and crawl at the rate of knots. He loves filling and emptying activities and can do a couple of his jigsaw puzzles. He took to food quite late and is now making up for lost time and will eat anything anywhere anytime as long as he feeds himself. He is great with a spoon and a fork now. He has started to kiss and smooch which is just lovely. Pointing at everything. Down to one sleep in the day and in bed by 6.30 sleeps till 7 most mornings. Cutting down on breast feeds and can manage on one at nite most days, and even refused that tonite (first time ever to have no feeds at all since the nite before!!!)
