Just curious as I get a lot of comments about how tall my DD is. She's 3.2 and 98cm.

DS is 3.6 and 101cm. Think he is about 75 centile on height so guess your DD is tallish for her age.

Habbibu · 04/09/2010 22:26

dd was about 101 cm at 3 - she's 4 in Nov and is about 107/8 cm now. She's always been tall - her dad is 6' 3, but doesn't look that tall next to most of her friends.

Habbibu · 04/09/2010 22:26

I mean, 101 when she turned 3.

BelleDameSansMerci · 04/09/2010 22:28

My DD is 3 next week. She is 97cm.

squarehat · 04/09/2010 22:29

DD is 2.8 and she is 92cm.

blueshoes · 04/09/2010 22:40

I guess you could consult the red book. There is a chart at the end to give you the centile.

EsmeWeatherwax · 04/09/2010 22:41

DD1 is 107cm at 3.5yo. Very tall, but so are both dh and I. DD2 is shaping up to be even taller!

resistanceisfutile · 04/09/2010 23:20

I have misplaced my red book Blush

So it would seem my DD is distinctly average height wise.

It must be people I know just have very short children then Grin Honestly she is frequently mistaken for an older child. People ask me which school she goes to. Yesterday someone asked my why she wasn't in school!! When I say she's only 3 they say well she IS so tall.

She does seem taller than all her friends but not massively so.

The other day tesco delivery man wouldn't believe me when I said she was 3 but eventually conceded "well ok, but she must be 4 soon then".

My DS is very tall for his age. On his third birthday he was 105cm (I know because we took him to a theme park).

The heights of his friend varies massively though. Some come up to his shoulder.

wow, I have a real midget! DS 3 in a week and half and is 93cm! he doesn't look that small!

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 05/09/2010 14:22

I must have a giant. My DD is only 2.5 and already 98cm! Shock although I am 5ft9 and her dad is 6ft3 and she has been on the 98th centile since she was born!

It really is amazing how it all varies accross the ages!

noko · 05/09/2010 14:25

my ds is 3.8 and he is 100cm.

mejon · 05/09/2010 15:43

DD turned 4 at the beginning of August and is 96cms tall. She's on the very lowest centile for height I think.

BorisTheBold · 05/09/2010 16:01

Dd2 is 3.10 and is 112cm - I blame her dad Grin

TheUnmentioned · 05/09/2010 16:10

Ds is 3y8m and is about 112cm I think.

Manda25 · 05/09/2010 16:12

DS was 103cm at 3.3
DS2 was 102cm at 2.11

Both were about about 5th tallest in their classes ....saying that my youngest has a kid in his class who is 4ft11" (ish) ... they have just gone into yr 3

tiredmummyneedswineandsleep · 05/09/2010 16:43

ds is 3.0 at 2.10 he was 106cm! was born measuring 62cm and always been v tall!

Runoutofideas · 05/09/2010 18:24

This makes me realise why everyone says my dd is small! She's 3.1 and 88cm - She starts school next year (August b'day) and will need a teeny uniform!

postingforafriend · 05/09/2010 18:29

DD is 3.1 and 101 cm, she gets a few comments about how tall/big she is and is often mistaken for older, she has always been on the tall side, was a long baby.

postingforafriend · 05/09/2010 18:31

How sad is it that I was drawn to this thread because

a. DD is quite tall and I am randomly proud of that (no idea why)

and

b. I had a tape measure in front of me as we've just been measuring furniture

Grin
resistanceisfutile · 05/09/2010 19:11

Tis strange postingforafriend, I'm not proud at all of DD's height. In fact it would worry me if she was really tall as I think it can be a disadvantage as a young girl.

DetectivePotato · 05/09/2010 19:57

I'm not sure if my DS is tall. I think he is as he is much taller than toddlers who are around his age or a couple of months younger. He is also taller that many almost 3 year olds I know.

He was last measured at age 2.5/6 and was 93cm. People keep telling me that he is tall for his age and people often think he is much older than what he is too.

postingforafriend · 05/09/2010 20:19

Oh well there you go then. That's me told.
