What do you think of Crissi-Lee as a girl's name? It's listed on Mumsnet's Baby Name Finder.

I'm sure your little girl is lovely and the name suits her.

If we all had the same taste in names we would be very boring.

Now come along children play nicely .

Cinderellarach · 24/06/2010 13:04

Ha ha just thought of a Crissi-Lee having a brother called Giles..

But getting to the point Crissi-Lee is dreadful.Although I have always liked Chrissie for a woman as long as it's shortened from Christina or Cristobel.

FranSanDisco · 24/06/2010 13:05

I hate any name that has Lee tagged on it. I met a Rhianna-Lee on Sunday and the mother was yelling Rhianna-Lee, Rhianna-Lee all afternoon. Nuts. So it's a no from me I'm afraid.

LizzyLOU · 24/06/2010 13:09

I'm with Comewhine on this and the spin off thread is nasty imo.

Crissi-Lee is not a name I'd have chosen, but am sure you'd not like my boy's names Op.

4andnotout · 24/06/2010 13:14

I quite like the -Lee bit, my dd's names are all hyphenated and if I have dd5 I quite fancy Darcey-Leigh as dp is a Lee.

FranSanDisco · 24/06/2010 13:14

This is what happens when you fish for compliments. If you like it then fine, that's all that matters. Can't understand why you started this thread if your dd already has this name . You're never going to get 100% approval and so will inevitably end up offended.

LizzyLOU · 24/06/2010 13:17

Op wasn't fishing for compliments, she just added a name to the baby name finder.

PrincessMaddi · 24/06/2010 13:19

just added the name.....thats all, god some people are so immature!

Hullygully · 24/06/2010 13:20

What about Crispy-Knee?

Aitch · 24/06/2010 13:23

the OP just added her dd's name to the finder, the post is automatic thereafter. actually i think it's something that should be changed as this is a most unfortunate thread. am reporting it to mnhq so that they can address the issue if they want to. apols again princessmaddi.

ReneRusso · 24/06/2010 13:25

krispy-kreme?

FranSanDisco · 24/06/2010 13:27

Immature but with taste obviously!

5DollarShake · 24/06/2010 13:27

The name is not unique. It's spelt uniquely. Do you see the difference?

When people hear it, they will assume it's just boring old regular, Chrissie-Lee. And when they see it, they'll just roll their eyes and pretty much think, ffs.

So what have you achieved, really?

I do not usually comment on names that have already been chosen, but you have asked for comments, so I can only assume you expected some of them to be negative honest.

Aitch · 24/06/2010 13:28

SHE DIDN'T POST THE THREAD

5DollarShake · 24/06/2010 13:28

Oh, sorry - I didn't realise it worked like that, and automatically generated a thread when a name is added. Why does it do that? Anyway, apologies.

Hullygully · 24/06/2010 13:29

I think it's lovely.

5DollarShake · 24/06/2010 13:30

Thanks Aitch - I didn't see those posts until after I posted mine...

blouseenthusiast · 24/06/2010 13:30

I agree it's unfortunate, although you don't have to start the thread - the name finder gives you an option. But people adding names are presumably mostly adding names they have used, so it doesn't make great sense to encourage them to ask for opinions on those names.

twolittlemonkeys · 24/06/2010 13:31

The only worse name I've come across in real life is Dazzy-boy (and no it wasn't a nn or shortened version of a real name). JMO.

FranSanDisco · 24/06/2010 13:33

If I was immature I'd suggest Dazzy-boy needs Lee added to it.

PrincessMaddi · 24/06/2010 13:34

i dont give 2 shits if you like the name or not, all i did was put it in the baby name finder and it made this comment thing! some immature people just have to make childish remarks and add another name in the name finder thing with the same name spelt differntly dont they LadInTheRadiator!!!!
GEEEZE ALREADY!
