I like it but wonder if it might be a bit much?

Don't do it

violethill · 29/05/2010 18:54

It sounds like a Pope

capstone · 29/05/2010 18:56

Yes, a bit. I think names ending in -us sometimes sound a bit pretentious (prefer Mark to Marcus for example).

Having said that, I do like Atticus, maybe because it's so bold that that outweighs the pretentiousness (?)!

MsHighwater · 29/05/2010 18:57

Yes, it does. to me, anyway

PortiaNovmerriment · 29/05/2010 18:59

A bit. But Jules is nice as a nn.

sedgiebaby · 29/05/2010 19:17

I think its fine

muggglewump · 29/05/2010 19:18

Yes, nice name, but don't use it.

Hassled · 29/05/2010 19:19

As pretentious as the most pretentious thing you can think of. Just don't go there. Julian is OK.

sowhatis · 29/05/2010 19:19

Of the Ju- names I quite like Julian, Juno and Jude.

janeite · 29/05/2010 19:39

It's not good imho. I am quite fond of Julian though and Atticus is lovely. I like Jude too.
