Looking for an under used pretty girls name?

Just as the title says really.
We've chosen Patrick with everyone on heres help, think its a lovely underused traditional name.
Now we are trying to find the equivalent for a girl.

But.... needs to go with ds's Alfie and Archie and a surname of one syllable beginning with C (so unfortunately Rose is out). I would also like something that is adaptable, so you can have a cute name (maybe nn) or a serious name when older.

I don't want much I know

Any help would be most appreciated.

My 12yo is Charlotte. All her friends call her Charlie, but parents, teachers etc use Charlotte.
Youngest DC is Kate. Katie to most atm. (She spent 36hrs being Lily - not the name for Kate!)

Srstanislaus, glad there is another fan .

I really do like the names with Rose as the middle name or full name, eg Annie Rose, but it doesn't flow well with surname, as surname sounds similar to Rose but with a C. Yet I think the Rose helps to pretty it up when they are little and can be dropped when older.

Love Evie Rose, Annie Rose, Lizzy Rose (Elizabeth) Edie (Edith Rose). The only other middle name I can think of that fits is Grace, but hubby not keen.

There are some lovely names coming out of this thread though.

Thanks Hedwig, Hubby not keen on May, as I suggested Emily May . Anna Rosemary is nice, just can't picture my child called that, think I may just have to go with an ie name

How about Rae as a middle name - my mate's little girl is Sadie Rae which I think is gorgeous.

Go with Anna (dd's Name so am biased!), it doesn't need a nickname, suits a toddler as well as a sophisticated adult (think Anna Ford)can be pronounced easily in most languages, and she could be a barrister or prime-minister (You could always nn her Annie at home). Our Anna was 13 yesterday and loves her name, she is the only one in her year group at school. Her full name is Anna Grace Frances, but I also love Florence and Elizabeth as middle names.
Wasn't Annie-Rose Alfie's little sister in the books?

Thats right Soda, thats why we like the connection. When it was Alfies Christening, a family member bought him the book and we read it most bed times. I also think its nice as there is no sibling rivalry in the book, he looks after his sister.

I was going to wait until baby was born and the choose, but my friend has just done this and is hospital panicking about not being able to choose a name for her son.

Genevieve - i love this one, it is slightly more popular in the us than here i think and i would use genie for short or vievie!!

Rue - love it , love it, love it!!! Short, really pretty (flower name!), and unique to boot ( in fact, considering that why am i telling people about it??) Could be short for Ruth or Ruthie but is a name in its own right as well

Aubrey - v. popular in us but i think it is also very pretty

Annabeth

Katrina with Kitty for short?
The K sound would go well with your surname C...

(I wanted this but had a boy )
