Due in 3 weeks, have a son called Robert.
Surname starts with B and is two syllables.

Am thinking.....

Mary Elizabeth

Emma Alexandra

Juliet ...........(still undecided on mn)

Kate Elizabeth

IMVHO all are lovely. See which one the baby looks like?

alfiemama · 21/04/2010 14:06

I like Mary Elizabeth sounds really classic

5DollarShake · 21/04/2010 14:11

Mary is a lovely name and very under used. I also really like Kate. Emma would be my 3rd choice, followed by Juliet.

bubbles12 · 21/04/2010 14:15

Am going to be useless and say they are all lovely!
Would Juliet be shortened to Julie?
Love love love Emma and Mary.

minxofmancunia · 21/04/2010 14:23

I like Mary, Kate and Juliet, lovely classic names.

I like Emma too but it's my name along with several 1000s of girls born in the early 70s!!! I have 5 "Emma's" in my phone, obv not including mine. I know it went out of fashion and seems to be njoying something of a rennaisance, just hope it doesn't get as popular again!

MaryMungo · 21/04/2010 14:26

I have a Mary Grace. She's the only young Mary we know, but everyone can spell it, so best of both worlds, really.

0percypig0 · 21/04/2010 14:37

thankyou for the replies.

Juliet would be Juliet. (My son is Robert not Bob, Rob etc. It took some doing getting people to use his full name but they all do now)

Emma and Kate are prob my least favourites, but thats only due to popularity. I think Emma is a lovely classic name but I also went to school with alot of them!

I love all of them, classic names which won't date.

Pasiphae · 21/04/2010 14:42

Juliet Alexandra would work.
I like Juliet the most, it is as classical as the other but seems more lively.
Mary as a second choice, beautiful and strong.

notanumber · 21/04/2010 16:23

I like Kate a lot.

Just 'Kate' though - there are a lot of Katies about though and I like that less for some reason.

And I think that people will call her Katie, even if you don't want them to.

dizzydixies · 21/04/2010 16:24

Kate but agree all lovely so just wait and see which suits her

bibbitybobbityhat · 21/04/2010 16:26

Mary. Its gorgeous.

JulesJules · 21/04/2010 16:29

Juliet Alexandra is lovely.

LouMacca · 21/04/2010 16:49

All lovely names but if I had to choose I would go for Juliet.

yama · 21/04/2010 16:53

Don't like Mary. Others are all really lovely.

MamaVoo · 21/04/2010 17:20

Juliet Emma. I love Juliet but the only one I know is known as Julie or even Jools which does rather put me off.

All very nice - Emma doesn't work with some surnames (in terms of pronounceability), but apart from that I can't think of a thing against any of them.

(I'm normally very judgy about people christening their babies with abbreviations rather than the full version, but I'm willing to give Kate a pass).

SoMuchToBits · 21/04/2010 17:28

Love Juliet. And like Mary very much. How about Juliet Mary? Or else Juliet Alexandra would be good.

twosofar · 21/04/2010 17:54

Mary

idobelieveinfairies · 21/04/2010 17:56

Emma

and Kate are my fav's..my DD middle name is Kate..i wish i had used it as her first now..ahh well!!

SillyTillyBilly · 21/04/2010 18:34

All really nice. I think Kate is my least favourite but still a good choice.

debaronz · 21/04/2010 18:41

Mary or Emma.

fabhead · 21/04/2010 18:50

Juliet ! (but I am biased) - I refuse to be Julie which I never liked and only a few old uni mates get away with calling me Jules.

I can honestly say that I still think it is a great girls name as kind of works in all situations and professions and is unusual (was for me anyway - only ever met one other, think it may be having a moment though) without being too wacky.

piscesmoon · 21/04/2010 19:06

All lovely.
